Thanks for the video, Wally! Thanks to you, too, Anthony, and I hope you fully recover soon. Take your time and do it right, the day is long, the pay is light. Conan Doyle was my other favorite Conan and I loved short stories in the early 70s, so I ate the Homes stories up quickly. When they started making Sherlock Holmes games, I dove right in but found them to be very difficult, sometimes hinging on a single clue that could sometimes be missed. Yeah, I know, see and ALSO observe. Anyway, I think more recent attempts at Holmes board games have proven to be popular. Loved the bats variants. I was mainly a homebrew guy so I didn't utilize much in the way of pantheons from other sources. I didn't do much with planes, either. It seems like there was an up tick in how many ads were in the magazine. ARES was a nice addition for SciFi RPGers. Keep recovering and catch you soon!
GREAT to see you back again, if only briefly. Don't push yourself. Always happy to watch a few minutes of Wally, or Caesar, or Radagast. Get well soon! I _think_ this one was after my subscription expired. It's only familiar because I read the _Aesirhamar_ adventure years later, for some reason. It seemed like a convoluted mess. YMMV. I'm sure I never owned this one or read it cover to cover like the earlier issues, though. Great review! Thanks!
Bushido was far more than just samurai (bushi). It was a whole fantasy Nippon with various classes and monsters and such from Japanese history and folklore. Great stuff.
Played the James Bond RPG, it was a great game, much better than Top Secret which we also played until James Bond proved to be so superior. Excellent intuitive rules, great chase rules, adaptable to any spy/espionage/covert type of scenario with several "power settings" depending on how many players you have. Also a great game for when you only have one or two players turn up as it is perfect for small groups, even one on one.
Glad you're feeling better! I loved Dragon Magazine when I was a kid. Dragon # 59 with its Traveller Adventure and short story, Skitterbugging was a favorite.
That James Bond 007 game gets a lot of praise. I "sort of" played it. I say that because the guy who ran our game made a sort of homebrew amalgam of Top Secret and James Bond 007. It was a blast... but since it was his game, he did all the heavy lifting and guided the game. I'm not 100% sure what were real rules... or from which game! lol All in all, it was a lot of fun. :-) That Q Manual was fun to read through, even just as reading entertainment.
Was sooo happy to see this posted this morning! Welcome back.
An ad for Dragonbone! I remember those, very cool little device.

I have seven of those Ral Partha minis. The wyvern, the gnolls (x 4) and two of the human fighters.
Welcome back! Great issue. I used the heck out of the Asgard article, and my players loved doing the "Aesirhamar" adventure

I'm looking forward to the Traveller week once you're back to 100%

Hey Tony, I fell asleep while watching this, and dreamed that you & I were travelling around buying snacks & comic books! 😂
Outstanding! I'm in!
Glad you are back!

Litrex 84 from my hometown, but not one I've ever heard about previously.
Kitty!
Forgot to ask does your wife still have Haley?
She sure does. Just played her earlier this year.
Good to see you back!
