Good idea with the magnet and nut, but I have a suggestion that make make it even easier. I would say a light string would probably work better. My reasoning for saying that is it is lighter, more flexible, and would have less chance of causing the nut to drop. Just a thought. Cheers.
Brilliant idea using the magnet to pull the wires. Where did you get that magnet?
A friend had it laying around. I’m sure you can find one on Amazon
OK. Thanks. Another question. Have you put boat registration numbers on your Pond Prowler? If so, how did you get them to stick?
I used this video to help me decide how i wanted to mod my boat, i pretty much done it the way you did except for using solder on all my wires and shrink tube, then i used marine sealant around every screw hole and every place any type of moisture could get in, this is the only video for thie pond prowler 10 i could find so if you do any other mods it would be nice to what they are, i also ran wires for 2 lowrance hook 4x the switches i use 1 for running lights 1 for interior lights and 1 for fish finders works great thanks the info on showing it can be done
I like the magnet and nut trick. I'm about to do the same installation on my pond prowler so this trick will help me alot.
Awesome! Let me know how it turns out!
It turned out great got the lights and switch panel installed.
I would recommend marine grade epoxy for your screws, marine grade silicone is technically a lubricant and can cause screws to loosen over time, especially if you’re running a gas motor that vibrates a lot. I’m sure the silicone would be fine but epoxy would be extra security
Thanks for the input, but I’m just running and electric motor. So far so good .
I also went to harbor freight and got some of the floor mats the rubberized ones and cut them to fit the floor which made the boat quiet when moving around
very. Nice and helpful. thanks
Thanks for watching!
