I was one of those who took the day off on day 1 to play. This was going to be my destiny tandom..... I would play if they gave the OG’s something for supporting them through bad times.
Yeah. I hope they're able to do something with the original game because I want to brag about my Legionnaire and Anniversary gear to new players, but given they're working from the ground up it's likely that it'll literally be a whole new game
I'm glad that you're still making Anthem content even though the game has been claimed to be dead. It's been one of my most anticipated games and I was sad to see how it turned out. You making content on how it may change for the better has kept on giving me hope, I'll stick with Anthem till the end, I just hope it's a happy ending.

I generally don't have a problem with that writer, either. But I don't think he was fair in this case, to be honest. But also, to be honest, it's a case of EA's reputation coloring an opinion imo. I think it would help EA rehab a bit if they maintained support for Anthem.

It's a shame if they cancel it, which will probably be the case. While it definitely had/has issues, there was a LOT to me that worked and showed true potential for an incredible gaming experience. The flight and combat control is perfect. The javelins are cool and fairly customizable. Many of the weapons and abilities are pretty awesome. There was however a lot to be desired. But that comes from me seeing real potential in a game that was criminally mishandled by Bioware and those in charge of its development. Here's hoping 2.0 sees next gen attention and release!
I always tell my friends that Anthem is a fantastic idea, just poorly executed, and that I believe in Bioware to fix everything and bring make Anthem live up to the hype we felt back at E3. I just hope and pray that EA don't throw it in the bin.

I’d play it. Anthem has the best gameplay of any game I’ve played in the last 10 years. It just needed content and a real hub. The Colossus was my jam and I easily got my money’s worth out of the game. I’d just like to see a bunch of dungeons and possibly a raid.

Will definitely play Anthem Next. I love the environments, creatures, combat, flying, etc! You can do some crazy combos with other players that you dont see in other games and the weapons are so awesome.

My best friend bought a laptop (I know dedication and love right?) and anthem for me so we could play together (then realized my laptop wasn’t strong enough) but if they did anthem next I would definitely buy it! I wish them luck in their endeavor and hope things go somewhat smoothly!
The game has great potential and honestly I feel a lot of people didn't like the fact that you couldn't romance anyone in your javelins. The only grip I would like to see in the game would be that for the lore hounds that the question marks for the lore would have at least a some hints to them either text or they are grouped along the paths they are talking about. Still trying to get achievement under every rock :|
I logged on the other day just to record one video of a couple strongholds on my TH-cam Channel, the game is still fun and the combat is amazing. Its a bitter pill to swallow if they shut it down. Cheers.
William....thanks so much for the update on Anthem....and just to put it out there, I haven't heard any teeth chattering sound lol. If I were honest, I enjoyed anthem since the start even when the game had a queue to login. The game did have its pits and falls, but I didn't care all too much about that because once I got in, OH MY how I would just fly around taking in the landscape, killing creatures in the world, farming crafting materials etc etc. Nothing out there beats Anthem's traversal. Im waiting patiently for Anthem Next/2.0 and I hope they give it a kick ass name...hoping the new game will address the currents issues and concerns but also give us more content and features....hell if there were a demo we could download....it that is kick ass....take my 80 dollars....also kinda hoping for a "collector's edition" with a javelin statue and hopefully a Storm since that's my main
It's been a week ago that we've heard on EA would decide about Anthem's future. The decision should be in this week, but I can't see any right now, and today it's friday.
I really really hope that they continue development in the Anthem universe. There is a ton of potential - be it a rework of Anthem itself or a full reboot and re-release. I want to dig back in!
I would absolutely give it a second chance (as long as it's free.) I honestly like the game, there's just not enough to do in it right now. If they can fix those few sub par systems (loot, progression) I think it has real potential to be awesome. The combat, exploration and javelin customization are nothing short of fantastic.
Flight mechanics are just insanely fun, sometimes I just go to freeplay and just fly around in Ranger suit, just for the fun of it, I can't get enough of how beautiful this game, and how much potential it has if redone right
Anthem by far is one of the best games concept wise, I still play until this very day and hope they renew it and can’t wait for the future of anthem. So much potential for this game it’s only up from here
Definitely will play Anthem next cause I'm been waiting for new things for me to come back into Anthem. I already beaten all 4 strongholds and a couple of legendary missions. Gather some legendary items. Sometimes I always get the ones I already have. Still waiting for the major update.
Even with the lack of content no one can deny that the mechanics, smooth gameplay, and awesome graphics are superior to most other games. I love Anthem and hope it has the greatest comeback in gaming history.

The only thing I see atm is Outriders looks to be bring some fire power Anthem has some competition that looks to be great right out the gate. I really enjoyed anthem and still do granted i dont play it as much now but like it said in the video the gameplay and movement the game has still feels cool to this day and is fun I will definitely be playing anthem next
I had the game installed a few months ago and deleted it after a couple hours but started playing again outta nowhere a couple days ago and now I got my friend into it and we’ve been enjoying it like crazy, I think it has so much potential and it’s still fun to me rn so if there was even more to do I’d be happy
My biggest complaint about anthem was the original loot fix. Basically if you hadn’t capitalized on it, you were left behind with abysmal loot chances to get caught up. All of the proposed changes feel good, put the “rpg” back into the game, and give you more to do than just fly around and grind for loot. I’m all for this, and will give it another shot if/when this happens.
Do you anticipate a lawsuit coming or extreme backlash for all of the players who bought Anthem? I want it to stick around but wondering what will happen
Depends what they do. I feel like previous players should get something even if it's simply just an armour set/decal but if they get nothing they will be people upset but if the game is extremely good I think it won't have severe consequences. When it comes to lawsuits nothing will really happen since there's nothing they can really be in trouble for.
So the game as service may or may not get some post launch content well over 2 years after launch? (And no, cutting already created content that was promoted at the game's reveal to bring it back after launch isn't post launch content)
I think they need to have a solid demo if they come out with Antem 2.0/Next. Allow everyone to play up to a certain level free and show them the game is worth it. Allow you level and gear to carry over if you buy the game. There are ways to bring people back. They just have to give a solid product.
That not a bad idea ontop of that past players should get their own decal/armour and as long as the game is top teir I don't think they will be any problems.
I saw it on the store for sale and will be playing it soon, this game got it lumps but to still have a team and some player base means a lot. If ea renews or brings out content I think many players will play due to anthems unique mechanics and gameplay.
All the news lately has led me installing Anthem on my PS5 to see how it runs. It's brilliant, actually! Sucked right back in to doing my dailies and improving my non-main Javelins.
Game was 90% off when I got a few weeks ago, guess it was anniversary. And I fell in love with the game play (I mean yea, it need's a bit more polish) but wow, after playing Destiny, Warframe even hell, outriders. They did so much right compared to the more popular titles. It's sad how it's current state is. If they release this game on steam, they might get a lot more people to atleast try. Story, is kinda okis but doesn't give you the *chills* like Destiny story or Mass effect gave. But again, this was just the START of our freelancer story and....it was cut short. It sucks, want them to work on this game again. There is still hope and I would go as far to say it could compete against titles like Destiny. Strong alone, stronger together. Hope there is a way to make EA realize that anthem is a gem stone that just needs polishing and work and time.
Sadly, there's no hope, EA and BIOWARE cancelled anthem next and they're working on another game, anthem never had a chance to shine because of its own creators.

I bought anthem when it was £10 as an investment I actually want anthem to succeed and I really want anthem to make a full no mans sky style return

Like you said though I got my $80 bucks out of Anthem, hanged in there for a good min till I just had to move on. I’ll be keeping a eye out for your next video. 👍🏼

I really enjoyed anthem and still do granted i dont play it as much now but like it said in the video the gameplay and movement the game has still feels cool to this day and is fun I will definitely be playing anthem next
I had the game installed a few months ago and deleted it after a couple hours but started playing again outta nowhere a couple days ago and now I got my friend into it and we’ve been enjoying it like crazy, I think it has so much potential and it’s still fun to me rn so if there was even more to do I’d be happy
My biggest complaint about anthem was the original loot fix. Basically if you hadn’t capitalized on it, you were left behind with abysmal loot chances to get caught up.
All of the proposed changes feel good, put the “rpg” back into the game, and give you more to do than just fly around and grind for loot. I’m all for this, and will give it another shot if/when this happens.

Ever since I saw the possible tweaks they might do in the update, I've been wanting to play anthem more.

Do you anticipate a lawsuit coming or extreme backlash for all of the players who bought Anthem? I want it to stick around but wondering what will happen
Depends what they do. I feel like previous players should get something even if it's simply just an armour set/decal but if they get nothing they will be people upset but if the game is extremely good I think it won't have severe consequences. When it comes to lawsuits nothing will really happen since there's nothing they can really be in trouble for.

So the game as service may or may not get some post launch content well over 2 years after launch? (And no, cutting already created content that was promoted at the game's reveal to bring it back after launch isn't post launch content)
I think they need to have a solid demo if they come out with Antem 2.0/Next. Allow everyone to play up to a certain level free and show them the game is worth it. Allow you level and gear to carry over if you buy the game. There are ways to bring people back. They just have to give a solid product.
That not a bad idea ontop of that past players should get their own decal/armour and as long as the game is top teir I don't think they will be any problems.
I saw it on the store for sale and will be playing it soon, this game got it lumps but to still have a team and some player base means a lot. If ea renews or brings out content I think many players will play due to anthems unique mechanics and gameplay.
Re bought anthem yesterday for 8€ on origins. WHAT A GAME, I would love to see it updated
All the news lately has led me installing Anthem on my PS5 to see how it runs. It's brilliant, actually! Sucked right back in to doing my dailies and improving my non-main Javelins.
Game was 90% off when I got a few weeks ago, guess it was anniversary. And I fell in love with the game play (I mean yea, it need's a bit more polish) but wow, after playing Destiny, Warframe even hell, outriders. They did so much right compared to the more popular titles. It's sad how it's current state is. If they release this game on steam, they might get a lot more people to atleast try. Story, is kinda okis but doesn't give you the *chills* like Destiny story or Mass effect gave. But again, this was just the START of our freelancer story and....it was cut short. It sucks, want them to work on this game again. There is still hope and I would go as far to say it could compete against titles like Destiny. Strong alone, stronger together. Hope there is a way to make EA realize that anthem is a gem stone that just needs polishing and work and time.
Sadly, there's no hope, EA and BIOWARE cancelled anthem next and they're working on another game, anthem never had a chance to shine because of its own creators.
