I love the timing of speaking about sublime sounds followed by a wind instrument lol

This video starts off with another great example of Japanese to English. At 0:51 I was SHOCKED to discover a "Japanese style Restaurant" in Kyoto ! Yeah, I know it's probably aimed at English speaking tourists, but it just reminds me of my times in Asia, it's the same in Korea too. The bento boxes look delicious, I go to a locally owned place that makes a fantastic teriyaki steak bento, but they want $20.00 or more for them these days. The Japanese really protect their heritage don't they ? They really rock ! Great video JR, can't wait for the next one

Thanks John, yes a lot of the traditions are protected and each generation continues the crafts but I have seen documentaries where this younger generation is not interested. While I understand it, it is also sad as that is what I love about Japan, the craftsmanship, the care done to food dishes and desserts etc.

@@FOCUSonASIA13 Every culture that left written records says the same thing about their youngsters. Probably a symptom of overprotecting, our "little darlings" ?

Thanks Ed, yes everywhere in Japan the item looks like the picture or the plastic food display item, even McDonalds gets it right.
