Couldn’t do the Park Hyatt in Kyoto. But Hyatt Place Kyoto was awesome. Great value. Enjoyed my time in Japan. The people went above and beyond helping me get trains and buses. Great country and very nice people
Thank you for sharing your Park Hyatt visit. Enjoy all your videos showing your Asia travels. The Japanese instrument the lady was playing is called a koto.
My all time favorite hotel. We had a connecting room. The staff were amazing. My daughter just graduated high school and the staff all wrote sweet messages on a card with a cake. Ninenzaka at night was so peaceful too.
The Park Hyatt Kyoto is nice but the Roku Kyoto is just something out of a dream. Lucky to have been able to go to both hotels during my trip to Japan last year!
Totally forgot about the bar and the 4th floor in general. We'll have to check that next time. I didn't know about upstairs seating at the bistro, but we had your same seat by those windows, which was great.
We heard a lot of kids screaming and running around downstairs at the bistro and asked for quieter seating and they offered upstairs which was much better! You totally missed out on the 4th floor views!
Temple of Hospitality! I fell in love with the Tony Chi design. Can’t wait to see another of his. The only thing I didn’t care for was the Bistro, both the design and the food. Yes, I still have my green frog 🐸
stayed on the same floor but at the corner pass your room😂😂😂, view was spectacular, can see both the pagoda and the tower from kyoto station, stayed an extra night coz p2 loves it so much, def going back, btw, rode the bus to nishiki market other times we would walk coz of the scenery and just the old tokyo vibe, great video Max!!!
😂 haha not many rooms on the property , gonna start seeing video reviews of the same rooms soon haha. When we were there the buses in and out of the area were always insanely packed but didn’t mind the walk at all
@@MaxMilesPoints yes, buses are packed but worth it, well, sometimes, but the walk, def worth it, we walked inside the old streets instead of the main road, even at night
Nice review, PH Kyoto is on the bucket list for sure. Btw, would love to hear your thoughts on the new offer/SUB on the WOH personal card (5 free nights at Cat 1-4 hotels). Is it better to just open another INK and transfer to WOH? Cheers
Ink and transfer would be my preference. 5 free night certs is cool but those certs are so limiting and they expire. Nice that they lowered the minimum spend requirement for the offer but I’d rather take the offer with the points vs the free certs. That’s just my opinion, but it’s a good card at $95 and an annual free night certificate it’s easy keeper card
Hi Max, i want to book flights for my family of 5 to Japan for April 2025. I know business class is hard to get. What are the chances I can get flights for us 5 with Premium economy oe Economy? And what airline you think will have those seats available? Thank you😊
I would assume so since GOH gets all of globalist benefits. But sometimes hotels are weird about GOH bookings best way to find out would be to give them a call or send them an email
We thought it was weirdly empty, I think they cleared it out from the previous service then opened it back up. The bar is very small and the wait times can get really long because it’s open to the public and guests. What was told was hotel guest do get priority though

Both nice. Both are dream hotels
Booking this with points as well. Insane value at 4.4 ppd, can't wait to experience this in person.
Great visuals! In my opinion seeing it helps me to get a better understanding comparative to describing it in words 100 percent of the time
Great video! This is my dream destination!
Another great review! Love the slight camera paneling. K36 rooftop bar for sunset cocktails
Thanks for the info + video!

I can not wait, going to be there for a couple nights this coming January.
Junei Hotel, Kyoto is a smaller, similar ‘vibe’ hotel for those looking for something in a better location in a local setting!

The "Traditional Japanese music" was from My Neighbor Totoro 😊
Hahah good to know!

So $3k usd a night or only 40k points valued at $800 a night if you can find award availability ?
What award availability tool do you use? Is it free? 14:07
👀 Was that a Kuoe you picked up on this trip?
Yes! Haha good eye
@@MaxMilesPoints points travel and watches; I think we’re the same person 😆 Great content, keep it up!
happy hour available for GOH stays?

I'd be drinking everything in the drawer lol. Anyone else take the coffee and tea home for no reason?🤣
How did you earn globalist status (without staying for all the nights)? The benefits seem amazing
I like how empty the bar was.

stayed there once, it was meh... I much prefer Hotel Mitsui from the Marriott Bonvoy side, much larger and nicer property
Thanks for sharing I’ll have to check out hotel mitsui next time!
@@MaxMilesPoints yea also dont need to bother with Ritz Carlton, also meh lol
No hotspring at the hotel? If not, not worth 75k points.
Did you meet Sebby there? 😝
Hahah I missed him by a few days
FIRST!!!
