I would like to see a review on the shadow rider, I have had my eye on that one. would also like to see one on the sparrow hawk, a cool little fixed blade and not much out there on it.
I'm glad you included the Tracker. For a long time there was nothing but negative videos about them (even one based on watching it in a movie, I think we all know who I'm talking about). I've got a TBT2 and a Trekker that work very well together. If I had to trade them for one knife, the smaller tracker might just be the right fit.
I love my Tops Yacare, Mohawk Hunter, and ICE dagger. Sadly the dagger is only a self defence dagger but can cut stuff like rope too. I need a small bushcraft knife and I was considering the Izula but these little tops knives are cool too

I don't know if it's too old to get the quality / quantity of reviews that newer knives receive. I would have thought that it would be well reviewed by fans of Ron Hood. Or, is it not as good of a bushcraft design expected from an expert like Mr. Hood was?
I have the Crow Hawk (Just a dark Sparrow Hawk) and the TB T4. With a T4, a Victorinox "Farmer" and a hatchet (Estwing leather stacked handle) and I'm absolutely set for most simple woods adventures!!!!!! The Crow Hawk is a nice neck knife, I just wish the scales were maybe a 1/8" thinner to fit my hand better, but still a great knife.
The Smoke Jumper i own for over a year thanks to your review ... I would pick Shadow Rider which i have been looking at .. My second pick would be the Tibo which i have also looked at .. great video ..

Say Heah John. My two would be a Rod Garcia Skookum Bush Tool, and a Busse Combat Son of Badger. a big difference between my two and they are not a Top's made. But IMO are great knives that aren't reviewed and I think deserve alot of recognition forvbeing two great knives in the bush.,,.

can anyone comment on the cutting performance of the Shadow Rider? I like that it has a slightly thinner blade stock (for a TOPS) and a less steep flat saber grind, which I think was also a good aesthetic choice. A FFG would have probably looked awkward.
I have one and it is pretty good, I backed the edge up to like 18 degrees and it slices really well. I use it to make feather sticks and edc it every now and then. I like to keep it in my backpack that I have to carry everyday. Super lightweight and great overall small fixed blade i love it

What's up with the major jimping on the Sparrow? Sparrow and Tibo but that small tracker would be my third choice. TOPS makes great knives just with they would get away from the jimping.
im thinking about getting the mini tracker. Whats the measurement from the tip to the handle. our laws have a 4 inch rule but not just the blade, cops measure from tip to handle. thanks.
None of them do a thing for me. I'd go with a Morakniv for a fixed blade and a Victorinox OHO Trekker. Don't need a big machete-type knife if you have a good saw on your SAK.

Tops knives are my favorite.
+2 for stainless. -1 for those scales and -1 for the neck sheath. The blue on my Baghdad bullet grew on me after a while, so maybe those would too?
