    Aww, great job, Al. Never appreciated how sweet that engine & tender could be--it's the gunmetal gray version that sparkles. Nice runner. It's gonna look amazing with a full consist of gorgeous red, illuminated passenger cars!

    Looks nice Al with those illuminated red lanterns. WAY before my time and I am not one of those people who lives in the past, but can you imagine getting that for Xmas in the late 30s? That would be like an iPhone today. Hope your enjoying your summer and the C1.

      I have enjoyed bringing this old Torpedo back to life. And yes, I am enjoying the summer and have been driving the 59 Corvette when I can.

      I have a good appreciation for Lionel prewar and their attempt at more realistic looking trains in the 1930's until WWII.
