Really just a perfect Lionel offering: a lovely engine with smoke, a whistle tender, and three deliciously green, illuminated streamliner passenger cars. Thank for sharing this run. 🍻😉🏆
What a great running session John! I have this set and the locomotive was mint until it flew off the platform and smashed on the hardwood floors. For some reason it picked up speed on me and went sailing. First time I ever ran it. Broke my heart! I lost both marker lights on it.
Thanks! I flew my 681 off the table once - inside the mountain. Bent a corner of the cow catcher, but not much else. I installed a plexiglass shield shortly afterwards. Maybe you can find a replacemnt shell on @Trainz?
I do keep an eye out, I will find a replacement eventually. Those Baldwin wheels tend to attract attention and the price just shoots up. Thanks for the reply John! Frank
You can find 2025 and 675 engines at many meets. I found this at York a few years ago. It's one on Lionel's best postwar engines. You might spend half or less for a PW version vs Lion Chief.

Iam Looking For That Very Same Engine, They Are Going To Reissue It This Year In Lion Chief, I Have The 1948 Passenger Cars.
