    This makes a lot of sense. Carrousel of despair is exactly what I go through every day. 80-90% of my pain is “self generated” and outside events only occasionally exacerbate it 😢 I feel like I’m at the mercy of my disregulated mind/emotions….

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi @HenriThibodeau,
      Thank you for sharing your experience. Recognizing that much of your pain is self-generated is an important insight. The "carrousel of despair" can indeed feel overwhelming, but remember that you have the inner strength and Shen spirituality to begin to shift this pattern.
      Consider exploring our meditations and teachings on emotional regulation and mindfulness in our TH-cam archive, which may provide you with the tools to better manage your mind and emotions.

    ~ Hi. Thanks for this.
    Yes, on the stage of my awareness, I am drawn into the activities of my drama. What part of my attention always seeks the spotlight, the centre stage? What part lights the whole room and gives attention to the whole experience? Somehow opening up the wider light shows me where I stand in relationship to my unfolding story.

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Tim,
      Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
      The part of your attention that seeks the spotlight is often your Inner Child, desiring recognition and validation. The part that lights the whole room and embraces the entire experience is your Shen spirit, your true essence. By opening up to this wider light, you gain a holistic perspective on your unfolding story, helping you to navigate it with clarity and balance.
      Kind Regards,
      David

    How should one respond if the inner child seeks attention only from specific individuals, rejecting and hiding from others who offer attention, and feels particularly unsafe when the desired individuals are unavailable?

    • @WuWeiWisdom
      @WuWeiWisdom  24 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hi,
      When the inner child seeks attention from specific individuals, it's important to acknowledge this need and gently guide it towards broader acceptance and self-reliance. Here are a few steps you might find helpful:
      Acknowledge and Validate: Recognise and validate the inner child's feelings without judgment. Understanding its needs and fears is the first step.
      Safety and Comfort: Create a safe and comforting environment for the inner child within yourself. Remind it that you are always there to provide the attention and care it seeks.
      Expand Trust: Gradually introduce the inner child to others who offer attention, helping it to see that safety and support can come from various sources, not just specific individuals.
      Self-Compassion: Practice self-compassion and reinforce the belief that you are worthy of love and attention from many, including yourself.
      Mindfulness and Patience: Use mindfulness techniques to stay present with the inner child's feelings, gently guiding it towards a broader sense of security.

    I've been watching your channel for a few years now. And still learning a lot of great things about inner child and re-parenting. So thanks for that. When I write "I have watched your channel", it is not quite right. Because I now only hear it. Because I have to admit, unfortunately, that I can't stand watching Alex toss her hair as much as she actually does. It looks so stressful and nervous and my neck hurts just looking at it. Have you never considered that it gives an incredibly bad signal that a "psychological adviser and helper" has such a nervous and stressful appearance? And are you even aware of it? A different hairstyle might alone make a difference. Sorry to say this; but it is actually meant in a very positive spirit.

      Thank you for being a dedicated viewer and for your honest feedback. I'm glad you find our content on the inner child and re-parenting valuable. We appreciate your perspective and your intention to help us improve. I'll make sure to pass on your comments to Alex. Your input is valuable in helping us present our teachings in the most effective way possible.
