Senior Fitness - Seated Yoga And Stretching

    In this video, we’ll be going through some great yoga stretching exercises from a comfortable seated position.
    Yoga is a great way to both strengthen your body and keep the heart rate at a healthy pace. It’s very low impact and can be done in the comfort of any room in your home.
    By working both upper body and lower body, these stretching routines will help keep your body flexible which comes in handy throughout your daily routines. We are always looking to not only keep you healthy but give you the strength you need to make it through your day.
    Stretching in a seated position as you see in this video will help keep your body relaxed and take the pressure off of your legs, hips and back.
    As always, with all of our videos only do the range of motion that feels comfortable for you and never force movements that cause you pain or discomfort. It’s important to listen to your body first and then do what you feel you can.
    Remember to stay hydrated and don’t forget to have a great workout!

    My 1st time doing this video and I feel good after this session. I can only do your seated videos and this one was perfect for me. Thanks for all the seated videos for those of us that are impaired in one way or another. I truly appreciate your help.

    I tried this for the first time yesterday and really enjoyed it. What surprised me was how well it isolated the mobility difference between my hips! I now better understand what I need to do to increase mobility in my right side. Thank you! 💕

    What a great workout. I am 70 and have spinal stenosis, and I love the stretching in this workout. Love these seated workouts.

    I actually never thought that I would ever be able to do yoga cause I'm in a wheelchair... After doing a search for wheelchair/seated exercises, I came across the Senior Fitness with Meredith videos... So, today was the first time I have ever done yoga and I loved it... Go figure!!! I also liked the fact that I could do it while in my wheelchair... With so many seated exercises, I can pick and choose what seated exercises I want to do and get a good workout... Thank you!!!

      Ad interruptions?! I really hope 6 is an overestimate. Unfortunately TH-cam is implementing new rules, adding ads in videos which we have no control over. I apologize for this, and we hope it changes soon.

      Good to hear. I could do stretching in my legs that I was never able to do before using the yoga strap method. I actually improvised and used a thick wide fabric dog leash that I had. Thanks for responding.

      The Livestream on May 1st will be cardio and stretches using the stretching strap...or a dog leash works well too(I will show one as another resource;))

    I really loved this one! But in my country (Spain) they interrupt it many times with advertisings just in the middle of a stretching, soo disgusting.
