Use clear nail polish to tighten joints. It worked for my neca atomic blast shin godzilla figure(the tail was a bit poopy) After I did that the figure was a lot better.
Most likely problem for the ball joints on the tail is that the ball joint cup section is either too small or the weight of the tails is too great for the joints to hold them up

You can make the tails stay on by using a toothpick dipped in superglue and only apply the glue to the edge of the socket so the hole is smaller but the joint can still move.
It seems to be like that moment when the stuff on the packaging of the food looks stupid tasty but the actual food itself looks alright to good at best.
