@@Commander_Shepard. Tbh Prime's transformation isn't hard here either. It's extremely overdone. I never feel like it's going to break (or chip like crazy, which Prime is out of the box for many customers). There aren't tiny flaps that only exsist to barely cover giant gaps, and serve no other purpose other than to add complexity (the front fenders on Cupola actually make up the interior of the chest, and form a very sturdy core.)

There's a part of me that wishes Takara would go back to this and re-release him in an infinitely less expensive sort of 'basic' edition. It would be just Optimus himself, his two battle damage bits, his gun, one blast effect piece for the gun, and of course his Matrix (this one goes without saying). That's it. I imagine kibble as a Cybertronian trait. I like when they incorporate kibble and backpacks in away that makes it seem functional. Like in the Siege Optimus and the backpack being a kind of booster pack and the forearm wings looking like gatling guns.
Five minutes in, I'm laughing almost hard enough to choke. This is a masterpiece of a Masterpiece review, Sir Jobert. As for the figure, I have enough patience to wait the three years or so it takes for the standalone Op to be sold by himself for $100, with a convention-exclusive paintjob of an ice cream van.
Even though the trailer might have added unnecessary cost to the figure. You gotta appreciate the love Takara put in it because I think it's an homage to Diaclone; of how the trailer 'transforms' into various modes (Though mostly useless). Y’arn’t my mum that’s tough buddy
Oof can we get an F in chat ?
Developers be like: let's just make the transformation be a clusterfuck of small plastic plates
The real masterpiece is how jobby’s hands and fingers work after this transformation

I imagine kibble as a Cybertronian trait. I like when they incorporate kibble and backpacks in away that makes it seem functional. Like in the Siege Optimus and the backpack being a kind of booster pack and the forearm wings looking like gatling guns.
@shadowshinobi06 I agree, and for the price you probably want a 100% G1 accurate bot mode. I'm just saying in a general sense kibble never bugged me.
8:30 A weapon to surpass Metal Gear
Five minutes in, I'm laughing almost hard enough to choke. This is a masterpiece of a Masterpiece review, Sir Jobert.
As for the figure, I have enough patience to wait the three years or so it takes for the standalone Op to be sold by himself for $100, with a convention-exclusive paintjob of an ice cream van.
Even though the trailer might have added unnecessary cost to the figure. You gotta appreciate the love Takara put in it because I think it's an homage to Diaclone; of how the trailer 'transforms' into various modes (Though mostly useless). Heck, even the magnetic feet of the human figures are reminiscent of the original Diaclone toys.
I know right? I thought the trailer and minifigs were pretty neat
I MIGHT know why there aren’t batteries included. Aging causes batteries to “decay” and it gets battery acid everywhere.
I was watching this while eating cereal and it’s everywhere now
Jobby when Carly and Spike come apart: *screams like he was shoot in his remaining testicle*
As an avid collector of rescue bots, I can say this transformation is nothing like the pain of the one step
lmao I have one of those and yea pure agony 🤣
3:16 why did this make me laugh so hard
FUNNN
That whole clip is a mood to be fair

I just realised you taped your mic to your face
*O u t s t a n d i n g M o v e*
I noticed he did it in his failbox stream.
_Barely Constrained Buyer's Remorse: the Review._
8:37 when Optimus has a mental breakdown.
Drinking game. Take a shot every time Senpai says $500.
MajinJoker87 hahaha, don't be silly, you need kidneys to play that game.
I have never trusted gloss or chrome paints on a figure with lots of moving parts, and this review cements that for me.
This transformation looks like absolute hell.
4:11 ROLLER
4:10-4:11what kind of low pitch sound is that thats hilarious
It's just jobby being jobby
Then that
*r o l l e r*
After is
*SMOOCH* A A H
Who else misses just listening to the royalty free jazz on the transformation sequences?
No one? Just me? Ok.
We all do, we're just to sad to say so.
With the parts clicking together and the occasional Jobby interject
I can’t like the comment because 69 likes
Takara: *Gives Optimus some lines in English*
G1 Megatron and Beast Wars Megatron: *Are we a joke to you?*
Fun fact: The voice box on my Beast Wars Megatron was broken when I got it (brand new). I was mad, until I found out it was Japanese only, and then I didn't care anymore.
You can probably access the files in it and change them.
0:44 Why does everything have to be expensive?
