Very nice. But I did not see a bathroom for the two bedrooms with the vaulted media room.
the bathroom was there, he just skipped it. Across from the mechanical room. I had thought the same, until I backed the video up and caught sight of it.

The laundry room access from the garage, master suite, and kitchen is genius!

If they don't say the cost, it's because its too much and not worth the product. Basically, they charge all the equity you will get for the next 5 to 10 years up front. If you want to get a good idea of how much this SHOULD cost, look to Marshall Remodel | MR Post Frame out of Iowa. He shows exactly how to build these and how much each things costs and time frames and all that jazz. He has plans, will do custom plans, etc. A good rule of thumb is to take the cost of all the materials and double that. Now with supply chain issues and people price gauging based on the quote "inflation", this may not be the case anymore and of course it dependent on area, availability of materials, transportation etc. IMO, this is worth 150k - 200K but I bet you its on the market for 350k - 400k.
Well parts of your comment are true, the MR folks don't give you anything for free either. There are viewable plans. about 6 and from their you can buy these plans to us for a build. Up to $2400.00 just for some plans. But there are no cost for the materials anywhere on their site.
@@guitarguts666 They show materials costs on video series in the form of a counter. So you watch the build, and watch the counter and totals are separated from labor. We all know materials costs are variable per state, per date per local, but its good to get a ballpark. Paul talks about his labor in one of his videos, cant remember what one, and explains where he is in his local market. He's basically not the cheapest but not the most expensive. This would be central Iowa market.
The kitchen grout looks like a kid did it… the rest of the house is beautiful!

I am the homeowner. It’s actually the tile. It’s a white, shiny tile with brown distressed edges. It doesn’t film well. The first time I saw it in pictures my heart sunk. However, in person it is really pretty.
This is not a quality control issue. Everything 1845 does is top notch and beautiful.

I would love to have the living room/kitchen area be a few feet wider and the house maybe a foot deeper so the laundry appliances don’t stick out into the walking space from the garage. Feel like I’m nitpicking though, cause this layout just makes sense.
Edit: Disregard what I just wrote. The appliances don’t look like they’ve been pushed back all the way. This layout is just perfect.

It all comes down to 'upgrades' for the interior finish. You can go balls crazy with interior finishes. Its up to the customers needs/wants/taste.

Yea. There a nothing affordable about any of that home. They offer cheap Finnish outs so you do up trade and spend more money.

Watched the whole thing to the end to find out what it would cost to put that whole package together and you never said the price. I’m sure the price varies but approximately what did that cost? Thank you It’s beautiful!
1845 Barndominiums has an earlier video that is pretty transparent on pricing. It also explains why giving specific prices on specific builds could be misleading.

The Laredo is a great floor plan But this " customer , custom design , bathroom in the kitchen is disgusting for one... and the inward opening door on that same bathroom how do you even get in and close the door? the swinging in door on the pantry.. Just seems extremely inconvenient.. OPen out walk in don't have to fight with doors . Done. Why does this 30x40 garage look WAY smaller than the " 30x40" garage shown on the 6-1-23 upload that looks massive! ( th-cam.com/video/wEGqII6ZHJE/w-d-xo.html at 5 45 mark. )

I don’t normally make a comment. But I have to tell you that back splash in the kitchen looks awful. Somebody did a really poor job with the grout. If I was the buyer of this house I would make you redo all of that. I have never seen your backsplash look like this.
I'd assume that the owners want it that way. He said they already walked through and put tape on areas that need to be fixed or touched up and I didn't see any on those tiles :/ I agree that it looks bad though.
