Rep continues to get most things right. These look to be one of the better options available and a clear upgrade over the bowflex. Thanks for the comprehensive review Marcus!
Great review as always. I have Iron Masters only because when I got adjustable dbs, I needed weight above 60lbs as I always have some fixed dbs. But Rep continues to come out with cool stuff.
I’m thinking about getting these, they will serve my purpose for all my lighter dumbbell exercises. I love my Pepin dumbbell handles, they will still serve me on anything heavier than 60 pounds.
Yeah, Joel, they're pretty good and simple to use. I also like the fact that they get shorter with the lighter weights, rather than maintaining a long skeleton.
I had the thought while watching this that y’all (HGHR and TB) have a similar review style. Very informative, hitting the important points but very efficient. Appreciate both of y’all’s style!
Great review Marcus! I think these could serve a great role in the home gym either as a quick change option for those that maybe need 60lb tops or as a quick change lighter option for bodybuilding accessories to complement heavier spinlock pro styles (Pepin, Ironmaster etc.). Rep is doing great things!
I bought the NordicTrack adjustable dumbbells after seeing Coops review, at the time I paid $350.00 and I absolutely love them. That being said I would have paid the extra $150.00 for those had they been on the market. Thanks for the review 🏋♂️
I was surprised the weight markings are black on black. I spent the time with a paint pen to color the numbers white. It is worth the effort and what Rep should have done from the factory
Another great review. And no shade to any other equipment “reviewers” but I also feel some of their gifted product reviews were nothing short of biased and skewed. Subsequently I have unsubscribed from said reviewer that shall remain nameless a long time ago.
I love that they have a 2.5 lb increment option. That very important to me as someone who is slowly building up weight overtime. Plus I just heard they are compatible with jayflex!! Probably going to weight a little bit for them to offer a heavier pair so I wont have to worry about buying other weights overtime
Thorough review as always! Does it include the 2.5lbs. add-on plates? The only downside I see are the potential rails that get in the way, the length of the dumbbell being too long for a 60 pounder (future expandability? Does it increase the length even more?) and maybe the price. Hex dumbbells are now around $1/lbs and getting every 10lbs up to 60lbs will cost much less, but of course it'll take up way much more space.
Thanks man - appreciate ya. Yes it includes the 2.5lb plates. They don’t plan to expand this current set but supposedly plan on offering a heavier set down the line. Not sure how that would work. Doing the math even at $1/lbs with 5 lb increments still equals $385 for singles and $770 for a pair but my math could be off.🤣 As you said, they would certainly take up a lot more space.
@@twistedbarbell3950 My biggest deterrent in ordering these is the heavier set down the line. I guess we'll have to wait and see. Let's be real, big boys like us need heavier than 60s!! These are $613 CAD for me. Unless my math is wrong, with $1/lb, every pair of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 comes out to be $210 (so pairs = $420 CAD btw. The drawback is space and also I would need microplates or something for the in-between 5 lbs increments.
@@twistedbarbell3950nah his math is way off lol. You’re pretty close to what it would be unless he’s buying used. These are a couple hundred bucks cheaper and possible to skip a stand which is another $100-200 for fixed
I feel like they could easily make an EZ/Straight bar and Kettlebell attachment for these dumbbell and it would work fine. I mean they dropped them off a roof and they stay connected, I don't see kettlebell maneuvers dislodging plates.
First time seeing one of your vids, as I am in the market for adjustables right now. I think you sold me on these as it ticks almost every box that I have besides going up to 100 lbs for one arm rows. Can you tell me, is it possible to add even more weight on to the end of these dumbells? Like could I add some of the weight plates from the second dumbbell on to the ends of the other and beef it up to 100 if I wanted to? Or would they break?
Thanks. I think you could but I haven’t tried. I doubt they would break though. Another option is the soon to be released Rep Pepin dumbbells that will go up to 120lbs! If you don’t need that much, you could enjoy a significant savings with these.
I love the Pepin Fast Series 240, but they are just so expensive I can’t justify them. I do well with my Iron Masters that currently go up to 135 pounds each due to heavy handle kit and 120 lb add on kit.
Do you find it easy to put them back in when they are under the max weight? I wonder if I had maxed out on a set and am trying to put them back in if I would fumble with having to carefully center and line them up. I've never used anything like this before so this might be a silly question.
Not a silly question at all. I used to struggle with that exact issue with my Bowflex 552s, but not with these Rep DBs. Placing back in the cradle is much easier. Also, if not using the whole weight, the guiding wedges on each end make sliding into unused weights ridiculously easy.
I know they will not warranty this, but have you tried taking the plates and making one of the dumbbells 80lbs just to see what it’s like? If not, do you think it’s feasible?
3:25 LOL na... please do mention those dishonest reviewers. If they refuse to be transparent to their viewers then let the viewers cast judgment upon them :)
Best review on the Rep dumbbells that I've found. I just bought a pair. Can't wait for them to arrive
Thanks and enjoy yours.

Thanks and agreed Carter. Appreciate your input!
Your reviews are awesome. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Scott!
Great job presenting these dumbells with your review, demonstration, and honest opinion. Thank You
Thanks and My pleasure
Great review as always. I have Iron Masters only because when I got adjustable dbs, I needed weight above 60lbs as I always have some fixed dbs. But Rep continues to come out with cool stuff.
Thanks man and agreed…they keep being innovative and it benefits us all through competition
Great review mate. Looks like another home run from Rep. Very valid point on questionable honest reviews on free equipment as well.
Thanks Kenneth!

Great review! Thanks for measuring both dimensions to get a idea of size between them.

Very nice Marcus, Rep does a great job of keeping quality and the price point in balance.
Hey Joel, thanks and agreed.
Great review! Looks like mine are just about to ship so eager to get my hands on them.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy them as I much as I do

Agreed it’s an oversight but thankfully it’s an easy fix/mod.

Ok Marcus I'm jealous.!Love your honest unbiased review but I'm still jealous lol. Keep up the good work
lol! Thanks, I’ll take it!
I got my rep 60's today, 5/6/24 I am 110% impressed! Life Time warranty! 499.00 + uncle sam
Awesome!
Solid review. Like the comparison to a long time popular set. I remember 15 years or so ago the 55.2s were like $650 with the stand
Thanks Carp! Yeah and even more expensive during the pandemic.
Excellent review! Tops in what I have found. I think you have sold me on them.
Thank you 🙏
Really solid review!!!!
Thanks my friend
Good job, excellent review! Great design.
Thanks Eric
Informative review, keep it up!

wow super sick power rack!
Thanks Jimmy!
I can't wait to buy these and the 3000 bench.
They've been great so far!
Nice reviewed. I have a full set of rubber dumbbells but they were a cheaper brand. What is your opinion on the quickdraws replacing a full set?
It’s a great option for a full set going up to 60lbs, especially if you’re short on space.
Great review. If i didnt already have the nuobells, id prob buy these.

It is nice to try 1st, but I did not this time and just trusted in Rep’s latest offerings.

Know of a coupon code???
Unfortunately not. Rep doesn’t typically have those except if you have earned Bucks rewards.

Too light 60 lbs
They get the job done for this old man, but I understand they don’t go heavy enough for many
theyre too long for only 60lbs tbh
They are but I’m happy that gets reduced with less weight.
