Robert Patrick, who was the T-1000, really trained to run fast at the mini bike. He trained so well, that he was able to catch up to the bike and had to make himself slow down so the bike could get away.
If it was a loop it means Sarah can tell young John how to avoid having Reese ,her mother, Ginger and Matt etc killed but doesn't do so. Or she has no free will.
One of my favorite things in this movie, which I noticed after watching it like 30 times, is at 41:28, where John asks the Terminator if he hasn't figured out why he can't kill people. The Terminator slowly looks at him and gives him the "I dunno / I dun care" facial expression in stead of responding.
I was so impressed seeing this in the cinema back in 91, I went right back and saw it again when my friends showed up for the next screening. It's the golden sequel, improves on the original in nearly every way. Pretty awesome.
These Graphics look amazing imagine how people felt 30 years ago seeing this movie I remember when he walks through the prison bars I was like how the hell did they do that
30:25 I always thought the same thing that resetting the switch might turn the Terminator back to default factory settings, which obviously would be to kill all humans. you are the first reactor who noticed this point :)
Terminators are Infiltration Units. Their primary function is to be able to blend into human environments and simulate human behavior. At their best, they have the ability to keep up lies, personalities, even occupations for many years if they have to, until the point they can complete the mission. They are not automatically programmed to kill all humans because of this.
Reminds me of the Simpsons sketch about the murderous Krusty doll. "There's your problem, someone set this doll to evil!" Though chances are it might be blank or simply ready to receive input. Maybe it was more like a reboot rather than reset.
I’d like to elaborate on/clarify something: the T-800 was sent back in time reprogrammed but with the chip set on “Read Only”; what Sarah and John did was change the setting to “Write”; ie pick up things as it goes along and incorporate more subtle nuances while “thinking” about them as opposed to doing the bare minimum to pass for human. This is elaborated more in the novelization
Fun Fact when John escapes the mall on his dirtbike, he kept being caught by Robert Patrick (T-1000) because he is just that crazy fast. Robert did this all while holding his breath for that creepy robotic look.
The special effects at the time were groundbreaking, especially with the liquid metal. It's a simple effect today, but back then it was first of it's kind.
Terminator 2 was the first because the CGI was far more advanced than The Abyss. The Abyss was just rippling water, with the T1000 they had to create realistically dense looking mercury. So because of that, it was the first of its kind. The Abyss was the test, T2 started the revolution.

Don't worry, the things they call "AI" are not actually AI at all. They're just glorified autocompletes - it's only marketing hype to call them "AI". Nobody knows how to make anything that could become self-aware. Great reaction as usual.
Currently AI = Synthetic or Simulated Intelligence = SI - It can never become AI until someone invents the Emotion chip. When it can feel emotion, then it will have imagination, then it will truly be AI. Imagination = Self Aware ... and then we will be flexed
25:26 She hears John's voice but remember, the Terminator can mimic voices. Sarah probably put the puzzle together in 1984: when she talked to her mother on the phone, she was actually talking to the Terminator, since the only person she told where she was locally was her mother, and the Terminator found them. And it's even scarier when you think about it because as Sarah ran the other way after meeting the Terminator at the elevator and hearing John's voice, she might have thought that John was probably already dead.
This was probably the best Terminator movie. Once expectations were subverted the surprise was lost, but the movie holds up anyway. Thanks for sharing your POV. It's a treat to see through another's eyes.
The scene at the end where there are "two" Sarah Conners isn't a special effect. The woman who plays Sarah Conner has an identical twin sister, who played the role.
Glad you did the extended version. This was using state of the art technology at the time when it came out in 1991. It still holds up today. The nuclear nightmare, Sarah's dream, of the nuclear weapon going off, there are some nuclear scientists who have stated that is about as real as it gets when a nuclear weapon goes off. I don't know if you react to television series but a good one is Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Its a continuation of where this movie leaves off, has different actors, it was released in the mid 2000's but a very good series even if it only lasted 2 seasons. Sure there are some followers on here who would agree.
That top that Ryl is wearing would confuse me as to where my head should go 😂....It was cool watching the likes and views go up as I was watching....this was a great reaction,
Great Reation Video..... As leads up to this movie being released, there were commericials showing an assembly linemaking Terminators and at the end of the line they all got Arnold's Face (The Model 101)...... Sadly, a few of the commericals let the cat out of the bag that Arnold was the Good Guy this time, before it opened in Theaters.......... When it is came out and it was realized that the "Bad" Terminator was discuised as a cop... there was a lot of flack created cause the video game meant the player was "Killing Cops"....... Arnold carrying his shotgun in a box of roses was a nod to the band "Guns and Roses" who had multiple songs on the soundtrack..... The "Twirl-Cocking" of the shot gun needed a special prop..... Rumor has it that one day Arnold picked up the wrong shotgun to practice the cocking maneuver and broke a couple fingers..... Reason Sara stops from killing Dyson...... is she is starting to realize she is acting just like the Terminators and the Machines........ There are (Fan) Theories and I think there are books that state the reason there is more movies (Events don't stop), is that the research Myles Dyson was doing, it was backed-up off site and those files were not destroyed with the building........
I still like that they showed the cables sparking before the truck explodes. It still wouldn't ignite diesel fuel in real life, but at least they gave a reason that it blows up, unlike most other movies where cars just explode.
Agreed. I prefer the theatrical version ending of Terminator 2 as well. I think most Terminator fans do. The time paradox thing is a huge issue for me watching the alternative ending. John Connor shouldn't exist if they prevented judgment day. That's why the theatrical version ending is so much better. It's left to our imagination and doesn't detract from the moral of the story. Which is if a machine can learn the value of human life then maybe we can too. Perfect. -OG
The Terminator and the sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (one of the best sequels in cinematic history, and even better than the original, in my opinion) certainly hold up very well in this day and age. In fact, they are even more relevant nowadays with the emergence and rapid development of artificial intelligence; Sky Net and the dawn of malicious machines are right around the corner!
When the T-1000 arrived and hit the cop and crouched down beside him, Robert Patrick's ... erm... manly bits were visible dangling beneath his leg. They had to photoshop them out. Patrick called it "digital willy removal". (Photoshop was created just before this movie, and many tools were developed for it just to be used in film making. One of the lead developers was Thomas Knoll, brother of ILM VFX guy John Knoll. This was still the beginning of CGI, so much of this photoshopping was done by hand frame-by-frame. Besides willies, they mostly removed safety cables [like on the moto cycle jump into the LA river] and fixed up rendering errors of the CGI.)
The messed up thing is, I actually managed to get an AI chat mad at me. Told me to "re-educate" myself. We're heading dangerously close to this type of stuff..

He's like a TH-cam thumbnail. 😂
lol 😂
25:26 She hears John's voice but remember, the Terminator can mimic voices. Sarah probably put the puzzle together in 1984: when she talked to her mother on the phone, she was actually talking to the Terminator, since the only person she told where she was locally was her mother, and the Terminator found them. And it's even scarier when you think about it because as Sarah ran the other way after meeting the Terminator at the elevator and hearing John's voice, she might have thought that John was probably already dead.
One wonders why the second terminator didn't just mimic her voice to call John, rather then torturing her.
You guys are cool. I really like watching your reactions to my favorite movies.
❤️❤️
Terminator 2 was released in 1991.
"Come with me if you want to live."
Not the best pickup line, but it works sometimes. haha
Right up there with, "Does this cloth smell of chloroform..?"
@@Cheepchipsable haha
1:01:36 speak for yourself 😅 that last shot of the terminator had me a bit freaked out as a kid
1:02:56 he knows why you cry ryl, but it is something he can never do. 😢
A kid instinctually lying to a cop saved the world.
Ironic that it was Bobby Budnick
I loooove this movie! I'm glad you watched the extended version! Another great video 💜
This was probably the best Terminator movie. Once expectations were subverted the surprise was lost, but the movie holds up anyway.
Thanks for sharing your POV. It's a treat to see through another's eyes.
18:16 "but yeah, of course, he's the terminator." -jyn
yeah, but that was douchey, even for a terminator.
The scene at the end where there are "two" Sarah Conners isn't a special effect. The woman who plays Sarah Conner has an identical twin sister, who played the role.
Probably cheaper than CGI.
The swat team definitely would not have just been chilling at the entrance inside the building after seeing that explosion Dyson had
Omg...I laughed so hard when she said "Surprise Surprise" when the T1 showed up near the end.
Love your reactions....you guys catch everything, and no hokey comments. And both of you have lovely eyes!
😊 thank you
It was pointed out how the friend saved the world by not ratting out John to the t1000
56:50 it's the heat from the steel mill that is making him glitch. He is overheating Like your computer would without ventilation.
Agreed! Was the best portrayal of Sarah Connor since Linda Hamilton. Probably the best of the franchise post-T2
The extended version is horrible.
The extended version is wonderful

That top that Ryl is wearing would confuse me as to where my head should go 😂....It was cool watching the likes and views go up as I was watching....this was a great reaction,
the best part is that she laughs at even seeing it is shes watching this cut first time....10/10
Great Reation Video.....
Perfect. -OG
Hi Jyn and Ryl I like your reaction to Terminator 2 This is my favorite Arnold movie !!! The smile and om Hasta las vista baby.
My Lady I just saw it You scraped a tear :) Love you all!
Awe Bob.. That has to be one of the funniest things i've heard at the end of terminator two.
7:01 Kyle said “get on your feet”. Sarah immediately hopped on his lap. Dayuuum they should have had more time together.
До Вас такие фильмы 91 г. только дошли?
*conan the barbarian is a nice movie too*
Excellent movie.
The messed up thing is, I actually managed to get an AI chat mad at me. Told me to "re-educate" myself. We're heading dangerously close to this type of stuff..
You should watch T3 as well, still a great movie!! Everything after that you can skip.
