The worst thing about these prank channels is the fact that they expect everyone to be just cool with it and are surprised by any aggression they see
The fact they're not saying what prank he was pulling tells us everything we need to know. And the fact his father is blaming the shooter just being offended, and not the fact his son was harassing strangers, tells us everything we need to know about how his son turned out to be such a loser.
Motherly/fatherly love is real, and the father sounds both shocked and mad. I don't expect another reaction from anyone so close after this news.

You can tell by the father's reaction that this guy spent his life doing whatever he wanted without having any consequences for his actions. While it definitely should not have happened, it's hard feeling bad for the guy that got shot.

Most recent prank I watched was just two dudes in an airport accusing people of stealing their luggage and then threatening them or trying to take their bag. It's not even a prank it's just starting a conflict and distressing people.

Jonathan Wilks was another youtuber who got shot and killed during a prank few years ago. He was chasing the guy with a machete and the guy thought it was real so he shot him in self defense.

I still don't understand how most, if not all, prank channels aren't classified as harassment and taken down.
Someone should honestly start a campaign on reporting all those channels as promoting harassment, that might stop them from doing it at least for a second.
Pranking strangers is never okay as you don't know what someone is going through and that they might snap.

Personally, I don't advocate for people getting shot, but when people are out there harassing and menacing others in the name of a "prank", I find it hard to feel sorry for them when the consequences of their actions claps their cheeks.
I just don't get why this guy had nothing better to do but point a camera at strangers and be annoying trying to pass it off as "harmless". Yeah bothering random ass people is hilarious dude's a top class comedian 😐
If the “prank” was saying you’re making a “citizens arrest” I think the guy is 100% able to defend his life from the threat of unlawful detainment. As well as the fear of possible assault, robbery, kidnapping or worse

Citizens Arrest has different rules and regulations depending on states, even some local laws. I live in WA state and they said that Citizens Arrest requires the arrestor to tell the person under it what crime are they being charged and if the police do not agree with it, the arrestor is supposed to be charge for 2nd degree kidnapping. So example, I am putting you under citizens arrest for 1st degree assault, the police ask you what for, evidence, and why. If they say, we don't agree, it was 2nd degree assault, the police charge you 2nd degree kidnapping. Now with all that said, the law is so unused, I doubt most police are not aware of it.
To claim self defense with a lethal force such as a firearm, you would have to be able to articulate a legitimate fear for your life. In this situation, you could argue imperfect self defense at best, but that would still be pretty hard to prove.
@@TwilightWolf2508 I'm not a lawyer but I don't see the justification here but I also did not see the video of it either but claiming to say you're putting someone in citizens arrest is on par with "I'm going to kill you", it's a threat but it isn't credible on it self.
@@Seriona1 I mean it's not, unless he has a weapon. Self defense isn't as cut and dry as everyone tries to make it out to be. There's plenty of youtube lawyers out there that have videos explaining it. I would recommend Bruce Rivers, he explains things very well and isn't super over-produced or memey and is an actual trial lawyer.

Zombieland actually taught us what happens when you do a prank. Bill Murrey found out the hard way what happens when you pretend to be a zombie in a zombie apocalypse. You get shot! At the time it was a hilarious scene and one of the best random cameos.. but it really was a warning to not do stupid pranks and then cry when you get shot! We should all learn from Bill Murrey's fake sacrifice and keep prank limited or gone. I just get second hand embarrassment and can't stand pranks.
