      Unfortunately a lot of parents are too ignorant if not stupid to the kind of stuff that happens on the internet. It would be best to just not allow kids to be on it until they reach the proper age of let's say 13 or so where they would have (hopefully) been taught to be aware of most dangers on the internet. Just to clear some things up:
    1. They went to jail, not prison
    2. Prison is where you go when you're sentenced.
    3. Bonding out doesn't mean you're "free"
    4. All people are given a bond, even if it's for murder, unless they're a flight risk or imminent threat
    4B (Edit): You can't "bond out" of prisons
    5. Bond could be $500k or over a million dollars, we just don't know
    6. There can be conditions to bond, like restrictions to areas, victims, house arrest, ankle monitors, etc
    7. They will get over 10 years. Felony sexual crimes almost always require 10-20 years, with requirement to spend 90% of that time in prison (so no early release/parole)
    8. Bond just is held to ensure you attend your court hearing. Once attended, Bond money is returned in full (unless you used a Bond company)
    9. Jail time doesn't always count towards your prison sentence, though sometimes it does depending on the situation (many people during COVID didn't have theirs counted, due to backup in the system & too few public defenders)
    10. Yes, there is a chance they could spend time in a different facility due to mental health, but usually that's still a prison (ex: all sex offenders in TX usually are sent to specific prisons after sentenced)
    Anyway, I'm a corrections officer, not a lawyer, but still want to clear up that he's not "free," and bonding out for this isn't unusual at all. I see these every day (unfortunately)

Some people took it farther then others, but all of it is immoral. Chris chan wasn't a very good person but what they needed was rehabilitation and psychiatric help. Not a community of monsters turning their life into a public spectacle. I find it alien too me how people who I otherwise think are good people can find themselves defending any part of this madness. CWC isn't just one of the most well-documented people on the internet, but one of the most well-archived people in HISTORY. There are very few people who come anywhere close to the amount of available records directly from the source like this. It's crazy to think about, we're witnessing history as it unfolds and we thought it was over two years ago but here we are seeing it reignite itself. Only a matter of time before CWC gets a camera and internet access again.

A huge part of that is due to their parents, but also the school system, social services and their own peers have failed Chris too. Chris will probably end up back in jail from going back to his mother's house because he has never lived anywhere else and cannot live without his toys. I don't buy Barb being senile though. She's proven herself extremely manipulative over the years, even threatening "not alive" the first time Chris left home overnight. A horribly abusive and intevitable situation all around.

    • @SuperNoah9999
      @SuperNoah9999 ปีที่แล้ว +62

      Agreed. I think the argument that Barb is senile is dumb because she was deemed capable of living on her own and didn't have her driver's license taken away (leading her to get into a car accident and charged with Fail to Yield Right-of-Way for it) which would've never happened if she were actually senile.
      Edit: Also, I'm not sure why I didn't mention this earlier (probably because I initially thought i wouldn't need to), but I work in a care home. Admittedly, I don't work in a medical capacity, but they did give us a crash course on Alzheimers and other forms of Dementia as a part of our training. This mostly means very old systems like Play Station 1 and old game boys, but prisons can allow other devices.
