Insecure men want to compete for women out of their reach to have a trophy to show to validate their insecurities. Dont fall for that kind of people, because they never get tired of the chase. If the man is healthy and confident, if you look for him, you will find him and he wont retract because you are showing him interest and love, he will show the same to you. But if you want insecure men that you are just a trophy to fill their ego, then look for guys like that. Stable people are looking for love, not playing games.
Your point does apply to certain men, but not all. If you compete for the best job you can get because you know it will make your life better, you don't call that man insecure and that he wants to show it off as a trophy.

When I was in my twenties going out to parties I observed that most men noticed me and kept staring at me for a while, then they decided that they are not playing in my league and went for some "easy" chicks. It is pretty hard for intelligent, good looking and spiritual women to choose and pick a guy. No large selection there. 😬🐒

If he's able to take a person for granted, then he's not a good person to begin with is my opinion! Is he not aware that people are special in their own unique way?! That if worse comes to worse and the relationship DOES end up breaking apart, then eventually they'd be able to give their love and affection onto someone else who DOES appreciate that. ..In a way, a person who is not capable of loving someone or giving/sharing that love, is not someone who will ever understand their role in giving it! Like let's say that you and the man actually get closer to each other , and ofcouse, overtime, the more you guys spend time and understand about each other, then that mystery will fade away because of it? Like what else is there for me to do? To be able to keep that mystery? When we were in relationship during my examinations we fought everyday because a guy spread false rumors about me
