    Fun fact on the Pikey accents.
    There's that scene where Turkish and Tommy are trying to strike a deal with the Pikeys with the rabbit... If you have the subtitles on for the Pikey dialogue? At one point in the conversation, it just goes to questions marks like, ???????? Because it's implied that the subtitles doesn't even know what the hell they're saying. It's the funniest gag.

  • @cheeseknees9606
    @cheeseknees9606 หลายเดือนก่อน +20

    Just as a FYI for anybody. In the UK, calling a traveller a "Pikey" is SUPER offensive! Never call a gypsy/traveller a pikey unless you're looking to get beaten by a guy who's been boxing since he was 3 years old. 99% are nomadic and even they young guys who are born and bread in the UK still have the thick accent, it's almost like a secret language.
    Also, Brad's accent is absolutely spot on, which is unbelievably hard to pull off. Without a doubt, this is his greatest acting performance!

    I hope they get around to watching RocknRolla, too. That's an underrated Ritchie jewel.

    The reason it was shot through a sepia filter was because of a lack of budget, and it wasn't Ritche who invented those shots, it was his DP, who story-boarded the whole movie in cartoon style.

    Pants means underwear in the uk lads. So yeah... lol. Also , A caravan is what you call a trailer. They were originaly horse drawn and called caravans back then too. We have seperate names for a trailer (used for transporting loads and garden waste or vehicles etc) and a towed home, which is a caravan.

    The director intentionally created pitts character to be impossible to understand.
    Specifically to trigger haters of lock stock and 2 smoking barrels, who criticized the accents as being too hard to understand

    This movie is just a great time and I think that's all that needs to be said. I mean not all. You can dissect the production methods and learn from them but overall it delivers. You leave this knowing you had fun.

    One of my favorite Guy Ritchie action comedy movies about a heist that goes terribly wrong, yet a lot of sordid characters get into crazy hijinks throughout!

    I do like the absolutely unashamed way people will stereotype and imitate brits. If we did that, game over 😂 luckily, we don't give a shit.. keep on wiv the crap accents, we luv it, innit Bruv 😂❤😂

    An absolute classic. And for the record, Vinny called out Solomons name first, in the bookies.

    This kind of stuff is why bookies don't buy fighters anymore. Too much drama. They just buy refs and judges.
