“The Gentleman” is my favorite Guy Ritchie flick sometimes tied with “Sherlocke Holmes”; but “Wrath of Man” is his best… at the risk of having thought too much into it, it almost feels like the movie has some meta on his ‘flashier’ action movies while still very clearly being a crime action thriller
@@ReelRejects eagerly awaiting what happens for the 3rd; 2 was disappointing despite good production ideas, but how do you squander Jared Harris like that? I mean i get it was before his “Mad Men” flex, but man oh man
@hellfish2309 RocknRolla is mine with The Gentlemen being second. I would love it if Ritchie did a crossover with the cast of RocknRolla and the cast of The Gentlemen. Especially since he promised us a sequel to RocknRolla at the end of that film.
Look at the target dummy when Jason Statham is doing his firearms test. At first it seems like he wasn't accurate, but look at what parts of the body he hits. Liver. Lungs. Spleen. Heart.
Holy fckn sh*t I just realized as soon as he started shooting him in the liver, lungs, etc. I instantly knew he was practicing shooting those exact same organs in that order at the range!!! That is masterful story writing right there!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪😎😂
The Gentlemen is one of if not the best Guy Richie film, if you liked snatch and lock stock and two barrels you will definitely love the movie, its a must watch !!!
My whole family, mom sister dad(before he passed), loves layer cake if its on were all watching it if that gives you any idea how good it is we all have a favorite part and try to justify to each other
I third this! I INSTANTLY recommended “Spy” to friends after seeing it, despite being hesitant about it bc it starred Melissa McCarthy. What they do with her character and performance reminds you why she’s a star.
The Gentlemen is definitely a must watch. So good. I just watched it again not too long ago and it might be my favorite Ritchie movie, even above Snatch.
this film is literally perfect to me in every single facet of the filmmaking process there is; score, cinematography, editing, acting, writing, sound design, fx
I was getting ready for work one morning and my boyfriend put this movie on. I ended up being late cause I was so into the movie!! Jason Statham, he just doesn’t miss!!! He can do no wrong in my eyes! 😂
Look up what really happens when bank trucks get hit. Those dudes literally are unfazed by literal gunshots and crashes. If you see in the beginning when H is doing the shooting training course if you look closely all the shots he fired were the injuries his son sustained. It was a good movie. But if you want an underrated bank movie look up "the inside man" with Clive Owen and Denzel Washington.
It really sucks that statham has gotten stuck in this role of crappy unrealistic action movies. It turns ppl off from movies that he stars in like this. Solid movie!
Yep, haha. It’s funny- the guys saying he was the least believable of his crew but to me he was most believable. 😂 Reminded me of a platoon sergeant or even First Sergeant. I think he fit the role perfectly.
Guys, this is such an awesome film! I think it is such an underrated film and one of the best Guy Ritchie films ever. Glad you have got to watching this one! Really surprised me with its story and structure! And score!
10:54 - The guy watching the security monitors is Alex Frears, the same actor who portrayed 'Commissioner Pete Savage' of 'Gotham City' in 'The Batman', Believe it or not, this guy is a Scottish actor who gained fame (or infamy) as the wife-tormenting husband, Trevor Morgan, in popular BBC1 soap opera drama series, Eastenders. His role as Trevor Morgan, described as "Britain's most-hated soap villain" when he played the role between 2000 and 2002, won him the 'British Soap Award for Best Newcomer'. His next film outing is in 2024, 'Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire'.
"What I don't understand is how you can take down 6 gys without even a scratch". Me: Oh, that's easy. He just does this little thing called 'Being Jason Statham'.
Im glad that you guys enjoyed this movie. I fell in love with it when it first came out. You guys were pointing out all the reasons why. Score, cinematography, editing. I’m glad it’s not just me. I enjoy at the end he says liver, lungs, spleen, but then instead of heart he says his son’s name.
Yep this film is heavily underrated and really does make you go oh it was like that. Edit: That subtle line of a civilian killed too is some subtle foreshadowing when you’ve already seen the film and know it’s his son
Honestly one of Ritchie's best movies! It plays like a modern-day revenge tale that's also a secret Gothic horror, with Statham's H basically the dark spirit Chapter 1 was titled after! Seriously, this movie is so good.
I remember watching this movie knowing absolutely nothing. I didn't watch the trailer, i only knew its new film from Guy Ritchie and when it ended i was shocked how good this movie actually was. I'm glad i didn't waste my time to go to the movie theater beacuse it was one of the last movie i watch before the movie theater close again because the pandemic starting to rise again in my country on 2021.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate just how much The Stath has accomplished over the last 2 decades, flying the flag for action movies, Wrath of Man is so underrated, as for other statham/Ritchie films, Snatch absolute gold.
I would gladly accept a gladiator price increase with a good visual update attached, feels like it still has an older design to it, it deserves some love
Yeah, this film was surprisingly good. I acquired and watched it earlier last Fall when I picked up several Heist-themed movies. Another great Guy Ritchie movie is "The Covenant" which came out last year, I believe. It was about a guy going back to Afghanistan to rescue his Translator and his family after the disastrous pull-out. Very good cinemaphotography.
Im not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet if they have im still going to mention it anyway. The firing range scene where Stathems character dosnt have bad aim he was shooting where the liver , lungs , spleen and heart was.
This is the first review to this movie I’ve seen and I just found this on dvd literally two days ago. It’s a really good movie. 30:36 the one issue with the movie is the jumping around.
'King Arthur : Legend of the Sword ', 'The Covenant' and 'The Gentlemen are some of Guy Ritchie's more recent bests! (though Arthur and Covenant were not as well received I think they have their own brilliant moments. Also, if you haven't seen the RDJ Sherlock films....definitely worth the watch.
We can talk about this or any other Jason Statham movie all we want, but the better question is, why do we all say his full name every time?😂😂 it’s like when we talking about Brad Pitt we just say Brad, but everyone always says Jason Statham 😂
Funny enough, i used to work armored car... YOU ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO DRIVE AWAY! Otherwise you can get in some deep shit if things goes worse. It is company policy.

I want to see Roxy and John do a reaction to the directors cut of spawn
Wait, wtf?! You haven’t seen The Gentleman?!
Such an underrated movie. One of Stathams and Ritchies recent better movies I think
I agree. Better than whatever the hell that shit was that came out last year. Operation fortune 🥱
One of the best of both of them!
G.Ritchie plays with Nolanesc storytelling. I enjoyed it.
@@itzbp9949 yeah it has fun moments but was so forgettable. I would've rather seen a sequel to Man from Uncle
@@peteparker22 I'd love a sequel to that movie too. Doubt we'll ever get one

You're forgetting the classic, Snatch
Look at the target dummy when Jason Statham is doing his firearms test. At first it seems like he wasn't accurate, but look at what parts of the body he hits.
Liver. Lungs. Spleen. Heart.
I noticed that too! That guy is a beast, his crew was str8 warriors.
Wow haven’t seen that
Intentional pain when he could’ve heart shot or head shot, wrath
Did you notice that the mortal wounds his son suffered are the same places that he hit on the target at the beginning of the movie
Gotta love watching Statham and Guy Ritchie just having fun making a movie, Snatch is a masterpiece 👌
Holy fckn sh*t I just realized as soon as he started shooting him in the liver, lungs, etc. I instantly knew he was practicing shooting those exact same organs in that order at the range!!! That is masterful story writing right there!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💪😎😂
What other Guy Ritchie OR Jason Statham movies do you recommend?!
Bahahaha Death Race is my favourite. Stupid needless violence. So fun.
Gentlemen
The Gentlemen is a really good movie
Crank part one n 2
The Man From U.N.C.L.E! (Haven't watched this reaction yet so maybe you've seen this)
The Gentlemen is one of if not the best Guy Richie film, if you liked snatch and lock stock and two barrels you will definitely love the movie, its a must watch !!!
Richie is definitely on a roll lately and not getting enough credit. Even though I didn't like the recent Aubrey Plaza movie
Completely agree!
I didn't like the movie much but the show adaptation was fabulous
The gentleman is definitely one to do
This one is a BANGER!!! Let's goooo!
Wow guys❤❤❤.... must watch The Raid Redemption and The Raid Berandal 👌 😎
Layer Cake directed by Matthew Vaughn, and starring Daniel Craig is another criminally underrated British crime action/drama gem.
My whole family, mom sister dad(before he passed), loves layer cake if its on were all watching it if that gives you any idea how good it is we all have a favorite part and try to justify to each other
What a lovely story. Thank you for sharing. My condolences on your dad's passing.@@denniswashington6924
this is the movie that got him the part for bond too
That movie fucks, great soundtrack too.

Guys, please consider doing 'Spy' (2015) with Melissa McCarthy and Jason Statham. It's a good time. 🧡

one of my fav films from recent years , great story and bad ass
The soundtrack for this movie is something else. It made the movie 101x better.
I never expected this movie to be so good but it was. Once you dig the details its more amazing

I didn’t know what I was getting in to when I watched this movie, honestly one of my favorite movies ever, does not get the recognition it deserves ❤️
also recommed operation fortune by same director also with statham and josh hartnet , fun action spy comedy

One of the best movies ever. The ending was perfect 🔥love me some Jason Statham 😍
Loved how this film is basically 'villain vs villain', with every 'hero' just being caught in the crossfire.
Jeffery Donovan was the lead in the series "Burn Notice". Lots of fun until the late seasons (like so many others).
Yep, haha. It’s funny- the guys saying he was the least believable of his crew but to me he was most believable. 😂 Reminded me of a platoon sergeant or even First Sergeant. I think he fit the role perfectly.
They kept revisiting that first robbery, from different viewpoints each time. That was very effective.

1:36: GUY RICHIE MOVIES? Both 'Sherlock Holmes' movies starring Robert Downey Jr. & Jude Law, are definitely worth your time watching.
One of the best Jason statham movies out there
