Hey don't forget to watch "Blade(Trilogy)", "Electra" and "Fantastic Four" before watching "Deadpool & Wolverine" because they are very important to the plot :)
@@MatthewQuach-ug8in - Christopher Plummer swiped the Oscar nomination that, I think, Stewart would have had when Plummer replaced Kevin Spacey at the last minute and saved the "All the Money in the World" film.
Hugh Jackman's Logan roar in the climax after killing a soldier to a tree has got to be the best roar that he has ever done. Either that was dubbed or he did it on set for real, it was still freaking incredible. I got chills when i first heard it, it was really the moment where Wolverine fights his enemies like an actual wolf
When Charles is talking about the Statue of Liberty at the start of the film, a lot of people miss that the scene that follows where Logan meets Gabriella at the motel takes place at the Statue of Liberty Motel.
*Facts about X-23/Laura:* Creator Craig Kyle described her as quote "Pinocchio for Marvel Comics, she's a samurai sword trying to become a real little girl". Unlike Logan, who had already lived a long life before he became weapon X, X-23 never had a normal life, she was literally born and bred for one purpose, and one purpose only, to kill. And she didn’t originally come from the comics, she debuted in the cartoon X-Men Evolution in 2003. In the comics she had already killed enough people to be considered one of the deadliest women in the world before she met Wolverine, and that was when she was a child. Also she only has Adamantium on her claws and not the rest of her skeleton because she was still a small child at the time and the plan was to wait for when she was a full adult because otherwise she wouldn’t have grown into her body. So while she’s not as durable as Wolverine her healing factor is actually faster and she’ll never have to worry about Adamantium poisoning because the small amount on her claws won’t be enough to affect her in the long term.
No matter how many times i've watched this, the ending always gets me 😭That is the definition of how a comic book movie should be! Great reaction guys :)
Director James Mangold said in interviews that Yukio’s prophecy from The Wolverine came true, she said he would die holding his heart in his hand, Laura was his heart.😭😭😭
Hugh said right after he saw the first Deadpool he knew he wanted to make another one with Ryan, called him up and the worked on making it happen. The entire script and story beats changed so much if you head the behind the scenes, not just different cameos but whole plots of who showed up where etc
Its such a horrible feeling of irony knowing that Charles spent all those years trying to protect mutants, only to be the one responsible for killing them😢.
He definitely could have killed all the mutants using Cerebro but that is not what killed ALL the mutants in this timeline. Not saying that’s what you are saying just adding to the other comment.
Don't know what's worse, this or what happened to Logan in Old Man Logan. Dementia causing your powers to be uncontrollable to the point where you kill your students or your own unresolved rage and blood thirst leading to you killing your found family.
Fun fact: When filming the forest fight scene, Dafne Keen was having so much fun that she started grinning and giggling as she was slashing people. Hugh Jackman was bursting with cuteness overload because of this, so he picked Dafne up, hugged her and spun her around.
I always felt it was him having a family/daughter. Logan has died multiple times before he got the adamantium put in him. Logan and Victor were put in front of a firing squad and Victor said "wake me when it's over" implying that they do in fact die, they just regenerate and come back to life.
The first ever superhero movie to get an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay. Sounds pretty awesome, would've been nice for additional of Best Picture and some technical categories like Cinematography or Editing or Visual Effects. Oh well, i guess received an Oscar nomination for its screenplay seemed like a huge honor and it totally deserved it
He accidentally talked during the scene that explains on the radio about the death in the Westchester incident that claimed the lives of several of the X-Men he was making a joke about the clicking the Locking mechanisms of the doors, that would have explained a few things for Tara
RIGHT?? Got me yelling at the screen over here, there are movies where it's okay to yap and quip while watching, but not during a dialogue heavy moment like that one!! It's such an important bit of exposition.
This was probably one of my favorite reactions to this movie specifically, watching Tara blind watch was a delight! She was all of us when we first saw this movie lol ❤
Awesome Video Andrew and Tara!!! This is not just One Of The Greatest Comic Book Movies, It's One Of The Greatest Films Ever Made. Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen were all Phenomenal and they all Deserved an Oscar In My Opinion.
This is a fantastic movie, I came out the cinema after watching this still in tears on the way home and it still makes me cry!!!! Hugh and Patrick and everyone are amazing in this. Loving Tara’s Xmen journey watching these for the first time with Andrew ❤❤ not long to go now till DP&W LFG!!!
I love Laura/X-23/Wolverine so much! I’ve always thought Logan/Wolverine was alright but Laura is on a whole other level in my opinion. I’m glad this movie did her justice. I HIGHLY recommend reading her first two comic book mini series from 2006 and 2007 for anyone interested in learning more about her. It’s tragic as hell but such powerful storytelling.
There is, of course, some debate amongst the fans on this because of specific details, but Mangold himself has said that Logan's death here was directly alluded to in The Wolverine when Yukio said she'd seen Logan's death - "I see you on your back (obvs pinned to the uprooted log). There's blood everywhere (because his healing factor was broken and he'd had a massive rage fight). You're holding your heart in your hands (Laura, by this point, and become his metaphorical heart because he loved her so much). It's the perfect ending to this Logan's story, too. So much violence, and blood, and anger, but also so much sadness, and comfort, and love, and softness...just beautiful.
Hugh Jackman really shows how that character expresses his sadness and solidarity, full of fear and broken, that is literal proof that he is complex, that even shows me that rage and common sense push him to choose being a hero with Laura, in the reflection of there being no mutants and a cruel and evil world. Just seeing him not have the strength in the forest made me cry and seriously. I couldn't stop crying and after his death!!!
Charles didn't use his powers on purpose in the hotel. He had a seizure, which is what the pills are supposed to prevent. Charles wasn't taking his meds like he was supposed to. Laura gave them to him, but he has been hiding the pills...that's what Logan finds in the car seat. So when they're in the car, that's why Logan tells him he wants to see it to make sure he actually took them.
This movie hits so much harder after 7 years caring for my Father battling Dementia. Stewarts portrayal is the realist I have seen. Hug your Parents and anyone who care gives for anyone.
I do enjoy how Andrew has already seen LOGAN and Tara hasn’t. I’ve been in this situation before. I went to go see Transformers One last Wednesday and my buddy who is a bigger Transformers fan than me saw the movie beforehand at an earlier fan screening. We still had a great time 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I love this, you guys 😄😎🙌🏼❤️
So fun comic fact wolverine has actually fathered close to a dozen kids with different variations of his powers some had they mom's power but over the couple hundred years he's been alive he's had a few different ladies so bunch of kids.
I loved watching y’all’s reaction. Y’all appreciated and understood this movie, and it was pretty wild to see how much of the movie Tara could predict. I saw this movie opening day in the theater, and almost everyone cried and the theater was dead silent. Everyone sat waiting for the cut scene, and when it was over and the lights came on, everyone just stood up and walked out dead quiet. It was like someone leaving a funeral or a very revered person. I also felt like Hugh Jackman should have been nominated for actor of the year, and I felt like this as a true drama and not just a “comic book movie”. Great reaction!
The character of Laura Kinney (X-23) was an original creation for the show X-Men: Evolution and was soon incorporated into the comics. She has since gone on to take up the Wolverine mantle in the comics after Logan died (and he later came back).
Knowing Logan has not only lived one tragic life, but many, due to his slow aging, makes his life….or lifetimes I should say, all the more tragic. How he is even able to mentally function at all, after all the tragedy and death he’s seen is nothing short of a miracle. And also shows just how good of a heart he has, that he even has the ability to care after all these decades of loss and hate.
Maybe when Hugh Jackman finally retired his Wolverine role (they'll probably make him do this until he's 90 btw 😅), I would love to see Dafne Keen as X-23 continuing Hugh's legacy as the next Wolverine. I was pretty convinced that Logan dying with Laura grieving for him was the moment where Hugh was really passing the Wolverine torch to Dafne
Logan got an Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars, but this also should've been nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, and acting nods for Hugh Jackson, Patrick Stewart and Dafne Keen. It's one of the greatest comic book movies ever made.
I don't know if you guys heard in the scene when they're on the highway on the radio and he talks about the incident. He also mentions it happens at the X mansion where most of the X-Men die
Nice little detail.. I forget the complete translation.. but when Laura speaks (and yells) at Logan in the car.. she basically tells him that theres no reason to speak to him because all he ever does is yell at her and disrespect her.. which kinda lets you know that her standoffish attitude towards him throughout most of the movie is basically down to her feelings being hurt.
Fun fact: Huge Jackedman felt uncomfortable when they filmed the car scene, he didn't want to yell profanities at a child. He was informed that she called him the C-word twice in Spanish during the tirade
Yukio did call his death correctly in The Wolverine. She saw "him dying, on his back, his heart in his hand, it's not beating" it was metaphorical and literal. In that movie his heart stopped mid surgery but in this movie he literally died on his back holding his daughters hand (his heart in his hand, not beating). Love it
If you loved Dafne keen in this, watch His Dark Materials. It’s fantastic, so so so well done. Fantasy show with her as the main character, it’s a YES 🙌
This movie is a masterpiece. As an adult who grew up with the x men movies and wolverine through the years, this hit me so hard. I had tears of every emotion in my eyes on opening night. What a monumental film Logan is.
I've always liked the final Logan death scene as far as dying on camera performances goes. but not until this rewatch have i noticed how incredible Hugh Jackman's performance really is, not just the dying, but the fact he had to sell the death of an ICON, the MAIN Character of 10+ films. Truly I do not know how many Character Deaths match up in that sense idk im high but this makes sense to me lol
Fantastic movie!! 👍😎👍 When this came out I was helping take care of my 98yo grandmother 😢 The scenes with Charles dealing with dementia REALLY hit too close to home 😢 NGL I wept in the theatre at mutliple points during this movie 💔😭
One of my favorite if not the favorite xmen movies. It feels like a love letter send off for the 2 big characters. Logan and Professor are so beautifully done. And Laura was such a powerhouse, I want to see more of her! Like for real she could have been the one to continue to franchise she was that good for me.
Fan of the X-Men movies and love that this one went for an updated Western type film, really gritty and violent but throughout and definitely at the end tugs at our hearts
My favorite part of watching reactions of this movie is the people before sight and after sight. Just check out the intro and then the end of the movie.
PSA: Deadpool & Wolverine Spoilers Below!! Is anyone gonna tell Tara to watch Elektra or Blade coz I feel like she’s gonna have no idea who Elektra Gambit, Blade or Human torch are in DP3, which would be sad watching her go through all these movies and have all the major cameos be a “wait, who’s that”
She'd need to watch Daredevil Elekrta Blade 1 2 and absolutely def 3 I think they did the fantastic 4 didnt they? Was tara there-a? I'll go check after this. *yes tara has seen The OG Fantastic 4
It would be pretty obvious if we tell Tara and Andrew that they need to watch Elektra and Blade before they watch DP3. That's basically telling them about the cameos.
At 43:16 when you mentioned "The Last of Us" there is actually an easter egg in Logan when they meet the farmer family Logan says "Someone else will come along" which is the exact line Joel gives at the beginning of the game in the car with Sarah and Tommy when they pass strangers asking for a lift.
The Statue of Liberty was the first movie. However, it’s a blink and you miss it moment, but the motel Gabriela stays at has a neon sign with the Statue of Liberty on it.
I’ve literally been spending all my time watching Andrew and Tara’s reactions for the past few days, and all my other time watching other people reacting to Logan, the universe loves me 😭😭😭😭😭

Love it
Tara lookin’ great! Happy to have you back!!
Hope you’re feeling a lot better from being sick...❤️
I'm so happy I checked TH-cam this morning.
Andrew FLASH Gordon sayin “elilah” was so great, love you brother 😂 🙏
If you loved Dafne keen in this, watch His Dark Materials. It’s fantastic, so so so well done. Fantasy show with her as the main character, it’s a YES 🙌
This movie breaks me every single time. Even when I read the description on reaction videos... I know what is coming and get choked up.
No, the best example of a road trip movie with cat and mouse is It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, not Terminator 2 lol.
Oh sorry my bad lol 😂
53:39 I feel you, Andrew. Such an emotional moment. 😢
Truly I do not know how many Character Deaths match up in that sense
idk im high but this makes sense to me lol
Fantastic movie!! 👍😎👍
When this came out I was helping take care of my 98yo grandmother 😢 The scenes with Charles dealing with dementia REALLY hit too close to home 😢
NGL I wept in the theatre at mutliple points during this movie 💔😭
The SolGol jokes really got me. 😂😂😂😂
Greg mentioned it's Logan, Dark Phoenix, Deadpool 2, and then D&W. But don't forget about New Mutants before D&W
Agreed.
Even if it's after D&W, please do New Mutants. Just remember, it was never really finished.
One of my favorite if not the favorite xmen movies. It feels like a love letter send off for the 2 big characters. Logan and Professor are so beautifully done. And Laura was such a powerhouse, I want to see more of her! Like for real she could have been the one to continue to franchise she was that good for me.
I didn't know Eric Lasalle was in this movie. Along with world class actor Patrick Steward and amazing actor Hugh Jackman.
I didn’t know Patrick was a steward 😂
Fan of the X-Men movies and love that this one went for an updated Western type film, really gritty and violent but throughout and definitely at the end tugs at our hearts
Loving the reactions so far!! I've watched everyone since the first reaction!
My favorite part of watching reactions of this movie is the people before sight and after sight. Just check out the intro and then the end of the movie.
The most heartbreaking part of this movie is that logan didn’t get to hear what charles said to the clone
PSA: Deadpool & Wolverine Spoilers Below!!
Is anyone gonna tell Tara to watch Elektra or Blade coz I feel like she’s gonna have no idea who Elektra Gambit, Blade or Human torch are in DP3, which would be sad watching her go through all these movies and have all the major cameos be a “wait, who’s that”
Great fuckin point
She'd need to watch
Daredevil
Elekrta
Blade 1 2 and absolutely def 3
I think they did the fantastic 4 didnt they? Was tara there-a? I'll go check after this.
*yes tara has seen The OG Fantastic 4
It would be pretty obvious if we tell Tara and Andrew that they need to watch Elektra and Blade before they watch DP3. That's basically telling them about the cameos.
At 43:16 when you mentioned "The Last of Us" there is actually an easter egg in Logan when they meet the farmer family Logan says "Someone else will come along" which is the exact line Joel gives at the beginning of the game in the car with Sarah and Tommy when they pass strangers asking for a lift.
100% Tara’s best “ring the bell” yet :)
I was with Andrew, I have seen this film so many times. I sob everytime.
The Statue of Liberty was the first movie. However, it’s a blink and you miss it moment, but the motel Gabriela stays at has a neon sign with the Statue of Liberty on it.
I’ve literally been spending all my time watching Andrew and Tara’s reactions for the past few days, and all my other time watching other people reacting to Logan, the universe loves me 😭😭😭😭😭
Been waiting to see her reaction to this one. Hugh is definitely one of the better actors that plays a superhero. BTW, Andrew's Soul Glo reference 👌
Deadpool & Wolverine arrives on digital October 1st
