@@stephen.gillen dear Mr Gillen, there's a question I always wanted to ask, and never saw anyone asking for it. Maybe fear of being laughed as naive guy.
Here it is: what kindness represents in the mob wprld? Is it something not even considered? By exemple, would a mafia or gang guy would stole in the same way a poor family (for which a lost of X pounds, by exrmple, would be absolutely catastrophic) and a not-poor one (which can resist to a lost of X pounds)?
Are mudered people mudered for a good reason (treason, etc) or just because outlaw guys love the thrill of being bad?

As an American, I actually prefer Snatch over Pulp Fiction. Don't get me wrong, Pulp Fiction is great, but there's something about the more simplistic nature of the story in Snatch that I find appealing. It's just very enjoyable to follow all these characters dealing with the boxing and the diamond and how they overlap. Also I prefer the editing in Snatch over Pulp. Idk, I think Pulp Fiction tries too hard to be serious sometimes, whereas Snatch strikes the perfect balance between comedy and gritty reality. It really hits hard when Micky's mom dies in her caravan, and the ending to snatch is way more satisfying with the Pikeys taking out Brick Top's gang.

Fun fact about Brad Pitt's character. He had multiple dialect coaches to help him craft a dialect that would be a mix of English and Irish..he didn't like it after they started shooting and Pitt changed it himself to what we git in the final movie. Guy Ritchie was blown away at how masterful Pitt's dialect sounded. He said it felt like we had a real life UK Traveller personality on set.

I've always thought Snatch was more rewatchable than lock stop because, in some weird way, it seems like it's more reflective of everyday working class life, my life I suppose, in terms of dialogue. The "bird" in the bookies sums it up quite well, "all bets are off". "I ain't buying it", "I ain't selling it, all - bets - are --- off".

I thoroughly enjoyed the commentary & insight.

Magnificent review from a man on the front line. Lock Stock and Snatch are without doubt my two favourite movies. The cinematic experience is gritty, almost raw, and throughout both movies, the characters, larger than life, the premise of the movies, larger than life, the diamond in Snatch, larger than life!
The whole thing wrapped up with soooo many short sharp quotable lines.
    Written, and executed, beautifully.

Hey mate, just watched you for the first time and it was the snatch reaction. I also really enjoyed that movie and although I'm in Australia have many old friends over the years that could have been some of those characters. I think when you've been around a bit that if you're lucky enough to get a bit older you can see the humor in certain once very serious situations. You remind of some of my pommy mates and are the right man for this gig. I've subscribed and look forward to watching all your stuff. All the best and cheers from Australia.

I managed to get the special edition of this movie on DVD. One of the features was subtitles. I thought that was kind of strange but, okay.
Turns out the reason why subtitles was a special feature is because one of the subtitle options was "pikey"... Excuse me? Okay I got to see this.
Basically the subtitles were normal, until Mickey was talking. Whenever he was talking the subtitles transferred to a? On the screen... The entire time. Lol!

Michael De `Hara was brilliant ringside" We`ve done 40 grand down you whats the fucking craic" ? I always thought he sounded like a real villain turns out he was he was with Ronnie Oliffe and he got nicked last in 2008 and he has been out of trouble since that made a big thing in the paper because he was close to Guy Ritchie and he played a chauffeur in Rocknrolla and was a script advisor . The bloke next to him RIP his name was Mickey Taheny he was in a documentary called the Ends was a real villain too.

Not this guy, however; felt like I was listening to a professor from the USC film department lol. I enjoyed your analysis of the characters, while also inserting some of your own personal experiences for added context. The video flowed very nicely; well done man!

First off, Snatch is my favorite Guy Ritchie movie. 2nd, Brad Pitt was very hard to understand when I saw the movie on the big screen. However, at home, I can hear everything just fine. I've seen Snatch probably 40 times. It's one of those movies that, when it's on, I stop and watch it no matter where it is in the movie. Guy lost his way for a few films, but, it seems like he may be back to himself again with his last couple.

Great movie, very entertaining. I'll even forgive the blooper in the script because I love the scene.
ie. The bet is "If I win the fight I get the caravan and the boys get a pair of those shoes, if I lose F it, I'll do the fight for free". Wasn't the whole premise that he would intentionally lose in the 4th round?
