    I happy to say I am sufficiently fit enough to do this on my first attempt to completion - my abs are sore but I survived much better than the push up challenge

    Milan - It is strongly advised during this exercise to not only pull your stomach muscles in toward your spine to protect your lower back, but to also place your hands under your glutes. (Glutes is a fancy term for ass). Elevating the glutes slightly will help your lower back remain on the floor. Ideally, there should be no space between your lower back and the floor while doing this particular exercise, thus protecting your lower back muscles from strain. Perhaps instead of your chosen term #cheaters, maybe you could use the more accurate hashtag, #doingitcorrectly.

      Every time you raise your legs too high you are resting and in fact cheating like most of the comments say... Way to work though! Everyone is challenged differently.

      In my middle school and high school wrestling we did leg lifts every single day and at the ends of the season we’d have competitions against the coaches. We had to re-do the ones when they saw us with our hands under our butts. It is possible to keep your back flat, and that’s what makes it more difficult, thus working out more muscles and putting more work into it.

      cooldude0814 yes it can be done but it is very challenging and not advised for beginners with weak core as they will tend to use their back instead which can lead to injuries. I see it as progression, not cheating.

      i did this today with pushup, squats and bicycly crunches. and yesterday i did hiit burpees + work.
      after 8 hours i still feel the burn in my legs

    Omg. It looks so easy for them to do this workout! My gym teaches made us do this for 5 minutes! ;( my lower stomach and my upper legs are still very sore. We also did the Bring Sally Up Squat Challenge. Worst 10 minutes of my life. Haha!

    I'm going to try this--weirdly enough, my legs start hurting far sooner than I start feeling anything in my abs with the leg raise exercise, but I will do this and update. I think it'd be a fun challenge to create a circuit of different exercises to do with this song (yes, that'd mean listening to it a lot in one exercise session).

    This is exactly what I have to do nearly every day in JROTC.. Do this w/ squats once, run a lap around the school, do it again with squats, another lap, do the song w/ pull ups, two laps, do it with lunges, then do the song w/ leg raises, then finish off with 30 Pushups, 20 Pushups, and 30 pushups with a 1 minute break in-between. (This is why we hate letting Sergeant doing PT classes..)

    my class does this a couple times a year in PE and today was one of those days, i play on a competitive softball team so my core is significantly stronger then the rest of kids in my grade, so i did this quite well in my opinion, even got complimented on it, then we did the squats, and my class was practically screaming out of pain but i’m a catcher so i was fine, nothing is sore or hurts, i either kept a straight face the entire time or laughed at the screams during PE

    I thought this was very easy doing as they did in the video. A good step up is to do a 6 inch, raising and lowering only slightly with your arms out to the side instead of under your rump. For me at least it takes alot more muscle and control to do this. Try doing just a single six inch with proper form having your arms under your butt as they are doing, and then compare to how it is with your arms out to the side. I gaurentee you will feel a great difference in dificulty level.

    I think the lady in pink is using the momentum that's why she beat the others. If you do it slow it's way harder but I really don't know which is the proper way of doing leg lifts

      same, my warmups for rehearsals are burpees to the song can you keep up, planks(into push up position and back down to arms) to who run the world, and squats to this song, combined with arms moving from straight above your head to straight in front, then out to the sides

    this exercise works the iliac psoas muscle , which can cause back problems and is less effective than the plank for abs. I know that from a doctor, I tried both and it's totally true.

    all of these workouts are easy tbh will someon find a variation that isnt plank,pushup,leg lift, pull up, squat, or even benchpress because ive completed all of those and they were easy so if someone could think of somthing else i would really appreciate it.

    Did this in basic combat training (army) but every time we went down we did flutter kicks.
