An aha moment in this video - keeping the knee pointed toward the little toe when going down stairs appears to alleviate all my pain! So simple, yet not taught in my pt sessions. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🎉❤
Fantastic! It's the little things. I had the same issue when I was dealing with a knee injury in the past. The knee pointing outward changed it for me, + that position activates and strengthens your hip muscles! so it's really a win-win! 😊
Good to see Vazir's exercises to strengthen the muscles used in climbing stairs. My approach, however was different. I am 83, so I have had some proof that my ideas from 55 years ago were good. In my late 20's I was a student at a college in Boston where most of the buildings were 4 or 5 stories high with no elevators and initially my knees were painful and hurt each and every time I went for classes. But about 18 months later that pain was gone. Logically, I concluded that climbing stairs was what I needed. So when some years later I decided to build a house for my retirement I had a house with 4 levels designed for me. 29 steps total. My architect, my relatives and all of my neighbors expressed consternation at what they saw as my building punishment for my retirement. This experiment worked quite well for me and for my wife. The only time we have difficulty with my stairs is after we spent a couple weeks vacationing at ground level and never climbing when away from home. Practice what you need for later. not just for today.
87 this month and living in a bungalow. These exercises (seen today for the first time) have given me hope that I will soon be able to venture out alone and not have to worry about going up and down kerbs to cross the road, and shops with steps to enter. Very many thanks. I shall be starting your exercises today! 😊
Well done, Mary Blencowe. I have Blencowe and Blinco(e) ancestors From Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. It's a small world. I'm starting these exercises tomorrow, I'm too tired tonight. All the best to you!
@@sk13ppy How nice to meet a fellow ‘Twig’! I’ve traced back to 1300’s to present day. Found out had my daughter baptised at the same church my 1800’s relatives worshiped at. All the best to you too - I don’t think I will ever make the free standing exercise but won’t give up! 😆
That last one with the step stool looks brilliant. But. To being with, you might need a height no more than 3 or 4 inches. And build up from there. We can all benefit from these exercises, at any age.
I am 73 and weak in my legs. My son insists I need a PT to get me going but I honestly think watching your videos can help me. Thank you for saving me money!!
These exercises are PT. The only difference is you can watch these and do it safely. Just be careful and not pay somebody $60 three times a week. If you need a chair to hold on to use a chair. If you need a cane on one side to step up use that. But just take care when you start going and do this just like the young man says
My co worker who was about 350 lbs had great difficulty getting up the stairs at work. She was literally dragging her weight up the stairs. I asked her if she can walk on her tippy toes and she said yes and I told her to try that as it uses different muscles. She came to me a few days later with tears in her eyes and she said "You have given me a new lease on life". Since then she has lost all the weight and is enjoying her new found freedom.
My mom who was living with us, at 94 , had a 10 day hospital bout. She could only shuffle a few steps after that. But we had a 5 step front porch entrance. We daily went to parks, or a mall or visited friends and family. (She had oxygen and a walker) Mom worked diligently for three months with chair exercises and going up and down on just one or two steps on our inside stairs. And she did it! She got down and up the front porch. She was exuberant! Mom had two more years of good life before her lungs gave out (emphysema) She used to say, “ If only I hadn’t smoked!” Miss her a lot.
I am a month away from age 78. Just discovered your stair climbing video. It is a masterful presentation. You are pleasant to listen to, thorough in your explanations and concise. Thank you for this very helpful information. I will definitely subscribe.
I found this video at just the right time. I'm 73, live in New York City and there are a lot of stairs that need to be navigated in order to get around. Subway stairs are the most problematic because they're steep, long, and made out of concrete. Believe it or not, climbing the stairs isn't nearly as difficult as going down the stairs, and I'm going to faithfully do these exercises. Thank you so much for making videos like these.
Here's why I subscribed, the information was short and complete. You recognized that I am not here to study for a PhD, but need clear information. Lastly the exercises are easy to remember and sound doable.
I am 67 and do 20 squats when I get out of bed and 20 before I go to bed. I don't have knee pain with stairs and my lower back pain is gone as well. This is because I have built strength in my legs which is the key. When I am in the down position with a squat I hold it for a bit to build flexibility in my knees and to make sure I'm not using the momentum of the "bounce" to drive myself back up. You have to do this every day to maintain strength. Strength also provides stability so falls are less likely. Like they say, use it or lose it.
Thank you for this advice ~~ I can do the same easily. I’m 72 and pretty active, still working weekends for the nursery I’m retired from. Problem is .. I did fall on my right side down on wood flooring…. Ouch! I did suffer a “ stable hip fracture “ & had a replacement 7 weeks later ~~ then, had the left hip replaced 4 months later omg! Ever since my thighs are much weaker darn it! Very noticeable to me.. hate it! It’s taken months of working on my feet all day 2 days a week & walking my dog & doing yard work to finally get some strength but still way different ~~ it makes me somewhat winded too… I’ve had that checked out with a pulmonologist & cardiologist but luckily.. I’m ok there except I DO have Afib that as it progresses can cause some out of breathness~~ wonderful~~ sheeesh! Thanks for reading my long reply… doing my squats before bed& tomorrow morning without fail.
Teaching not only how to but how not to. Thorough, concise, spoken evenly with nice tonal inflections. Best how to exercise video for those of us over the hill, trying to get over the hill like we used to. Thank you Shrey.
I've just turned 80 , live in a 3-story townhouse and am determined to maintain mobility! I work out diligently 3x a week with weights but climbing stairs has become harder this year. Really appreciate your videos, especially this one 😊
Keep the stairs eventhough it is difficult at least with stairs you get more exercise. At 79 I bought a townhouse with stairs to continually get exercisse. Climbing those is the only exercise my husband does. Me, I'll exercise to avoid pain. Having broken back, then right hip then left I must exercise to keep from deteriorating. I want to keep my blood moving & muscles able to lift me.
Love your videos. They are a great help for this 74 Year old. Used to climb stairs for an hour everyday when in my 30s. Have started having problems going down the stairs. This video is a great help especially after a back operation. Thanks again.
Thank you! I’m somewhat active (64yrs old) but I have noticed this decline in my ability to climb stairs in the past few years! My husband and I walk at Disney every weekend but this doesn’t seem to be enough! I have been looking for exercises to strengthen my leg muscles without doing lunges and squats that hurt my knees! I hope I can be consistent and get stronger!❤️
I noticed losing strength in my legs after 55, it progressed faster after 65, so I started doing excercizes to slow down the decay. I'm certainly gonna add these to the program 👍
This is an EXCELLENT video! So clear to understand, so natural, not robotic, simple and 'do-able!' Thanks so very much for this video. My husband (80) and I (73) will start working on these three exercises!
For the first exercise I folded my arms to my chest. I also use ankle weights to help strengthen my leg muscles. I loved all three of your exercises and plan to use them every day. Thank you! I’m 72
My Mom is 86 and I’m 65. The stairs work for us- six 8 tier steps to get to our apartment, then 12 steps on the ground level up to our rooms. God is so good 😊 🙏🏽😊
@@birgip.m.1236 - I was also curious about the "8 tier steps" meaning. I searched and found what "tier steps" are: hidrostyle.ro/wp-content/uploads/2024/01/78705.jpg
I’ll be 74 this month and I’m now having problems with leg weakness. I just came across your video and was quite impressed. I will be doing these exercises. Thank you so much. I just subscribed.
A wonderful video. My philosophy is to keep working my body - sensibly and safely- and it repays me over and over. Im 80, have nasty osteoarthritis in one knee, but i keep it strong. Never use a lift. Use tge stairs, and an exercise bike in the gym. I still teach ballroom dancing. All the talk about supplements and crazy diet plans. The best supplement on the planet is regular sensible exercise
Thank you Shreya. I have lost strength in my legs the past year and find myself avoiding stairs. I note the stairs are very narrow and you spring up the staircase using the front of your foot. I think it is worth mentioning one should put the whole foot on each stair (where possible) when assending a staircase. It takes stress off your knees. Love your videos. Very clear and informative.😊
I can't thank you enough...I haven't seen your channel before....These exercises are just what I need.... Your presentation and is excellent too. Thank you for taking the trouble to help us Oldies.... Bless you!
I'm 89 and I find difficult to get up the stares and I'm going to start these exercises as of tomorrow and let you know in few weeks. Thanks for the tip.
Love your video .. and channel Having been a professional trainer myself ... I just had to share somewhere... An elderly friend fell down a few months ago - she could not get up on her own, thankfully a family member happened to come by for a visit & rescued her. I know MOST people don't know how simple it can be to eliminate the falling-down worry. You see how very important your work is! I am Grateful for everyone who is Blessed by your work.. seems to be hundreds of thousands !!! Yay!
Thankyou so much Shrey, I am 61 and faced too much muscle loss, I was 56 kg ,but now 45 kg, in 4 years I lost this much weight due to sarcopenia. I did these exercises today with you felt bit strength in my legs , very much hopeful that I will get my strength back. Please suggest some strengthening exercises for arms also
I am much younger than most people commenting here. I noticed pain in my knees going up the stairs and added milk to my oatmeal cereal (which I had stopped several years earlier due to other reasons) and my pain completely went away. But that was just a warning and I am going to try out these exercises for future. Great information!
72 here. Going to p.t. and the test they have is the chair 10 times in a min. Im going to do what you've shown in this video religiously as i have trouble with stairs now. ( You are my new jack la'lane
At 75, I spend a lot of time at my desk at home, often many hour without getting up. Your 3 exercises has been a god send, I was having trouble climbing steps. Having used your exercises within a few days I already have seen an improvement. Thank you so much!
09-13-24. Didnt know how weak i was. If i hadnt run into this most valuable instruction i would be incapacitated in the forthcoming years in stair climbing for sure. The exercises are right on spot. Thank you so very much in helping me be successful in strengthening my leg mobility muscles. Iris
I’m so glad I found you, I’m 60 at the end of the year and with back issues in the last 2 years from a fall, I deal with sciatica off and on, I’m definitely starting these exercises now😊
Cuz doctors are trained & paid pill pushers who aren't trained in healing & natural health. Only those who've chosen to go beyond the medical-pharmaceutical industry to learn about natural health & healing may know.
So many doctors have never been sick much !! Also this man has a degree in exercises, physical health of muscles, etc.. If you read his bio you will discover he became sick and was in a lot of pain. Had to find his own way back to health. Now he is dedicating his education to help others..
As an individual who has suffered Rhabdomyolysis, several times, I must say, that not (one single time) during my rehabs, did (anyone) explain why it was (important) in relation to (age), the facts relating to muscular degeneration that occurs as a person progresses in age.. Therefore, I really didn’t put much thought into the matter. I just simply did what I needed to do, to exit the therapy. Now, that I have stumbled upon your video, I have gained a better perspective on the importance of maintaining muscular strength. Thank you for sharing your professional opinions on social media in regards to the elderly, you are greatly appreciated my many especially myself. You have a new subscriber.
I'm excited! I'm 46 and have only 1 step in my home. I can use these exercises to strengthen the unused muscles so I can confidently do stairs when I go out and about. I look forward to flying up and down stairs like I did as a teenager!🎉💪
Thank you for your good advice. I had a lower back operation 4 yrs ago when 2 young men on bicycles hit me and I fell down on my back. I am ok now, only somehow I cannot walk standing straight like I used to. Also using a cane I walk slightly bent. Besides I get tired and the muscles of my left arm start to hurt me. Walking with the help of a roller I am straight like a pole, I can walk for long distances and what is amazing, I can even run. My doctor says I should exercise my butt and thigh muscles. If one day you could give a few other hints for me and other people with similar problems?
I really needed this. Thank you so very much. Increasingly dragging myself up stairs with the handrail and almost leaning on it when I come down. Only hope I can start getting my act together tomorrow, lying in bed now. Thanks again.
I'm 83, live with my younger wife and 2 German Shepherd dogs in a 4- story home. I am grateful for your suggestions on stair climbing and I will try to use the exercises you show to to keep my ability to climb the stairs. The challenge is limited energy and strength.
My mantra is ‘nose over toes’. Thank yiu for this video. Stairs freak me out but I’m off to try your method. My stairs are marble so very unforgiving if I lose my balance.
At age 73, with back and hip problems, and many falls included, (multi sclerosis and bursitis in hips), your video for me is a life saver! Thank you Shrey Vazir, indeed thank you. Will begin the exercises as of today.
Thank you! I'm 62, climbing 109 steps to my flat (no elevator)+ 12 steps inside to my bedroom for the last 24 years. As I'm getting older, this can help to stay fit 😊
Thank-you for this l have no strength in my right knee due to pain and osteoarthritis l dont walk up the stairs normaly but lm going to give these excercises a go ❤
I still have my Firm videos and the Fanny lifter 2-piece stepper, this would work great! I'm 64 and can still run up 17 stairs several times a day but sometimes I get a little stiff and off balance when coming back downstairs. I'm also 20 pounds overweight. I'll try these exercises. Thanks for sharing!
I am 28 and excited to implement these strategies! I broke my femur(thigh) bone and was in a wheel chair for a while because of it. Now years later I am still held back physically and I need exercises like this just to get back to normal. Great video! Thank you!
So glad I found you! I am 68, prone to falls, stairs are so hard for me (bad knees, back, and hips) and just diagnosed with the beginning stages of hip degeneration. If I squat down, no way I am getting back up. I always had strong legs until I got bursitis and sciatica several years ago in my left hip. Walking became so painful. I am really looking forward to seeing more of you! Thank you so much for sharing. 🙂
Thank you- @65 now having trouble with the stairs and uhm I pull myself up on the rail when I walk upstairs to my 2nd floor apartment when I carry groceries- I will definitely try your exercises
@@LovesLakes oh my goodness- I have an impingement on my left shoulder- so freaking painful- can’t afford any more Physical therapy- so I do it at home - I wonder now if that’s how I got it - thanks for your post - you take care too
Iv been doing the same pulling myself up with the hand rail when I have bags of shopping in the other hand, I live in a apartment, I'm 69..have low bone mass doc says after tests..😢
Thanks for the very informant video. I am 74 and In the past led a pretty active life playing tennis , bike riding ,Kayaking and other things to keep in shape.I can walk up and down stairs without holding a hand rail but I have to admit that I am finding it harder as each day passes. I like these exercises and can't wait to start and see how much I can benefit from them .Thanks again...
I'm watching from Germany, 60 years old and MS Patient half of my life. I'm still on my feet but somehow started using walking sticks and I am helpless without them. I feel like these exercises will help you a lot and will come back to you in 4 weeks full of training. Thank you so much for your input😊
ੴ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸ਼ੁਕਰ ਹੈ। Thanks for the wonderful way that you have explained not only the exercises but also the the anatomy of muscles. May God bless you🌹
Thank you so much! I’m 69 and really having strength problems, not so much for stairs but for getting up, getting in and out of the car, etc. These exercises will be very helpful. I love the way you explained the exercises, what muscles they use and focus on the correct form. Will definitely be including these in my daily (and growing) list of exercises to keep myself going into my 70’s!
My right hip and knee were broken in the last 2 years, and my foot was injured by surguery two years ago that is finally about yo heal.. thank you, i need to rebuild this area.. i want to walk.. feel like im just pulling my leg behind me
Thank you for sharing. I have the difficulties for go up and down down stairs so we installed a chair lift ( not a good idea) but my husband > 81 years old has no problem, he can run up and down like a guy 40 years old and I don't understand how he can do it. Will try your exercise asap. Hello from Melbourne 👍👍👍
oh I'm so glad I found you. I go up and down my stairs every day, now your clear explanations will help with my leg strength. I love forward to watching more of you. thank you so much.
Thank you for making this video. I’m turning 77 next month and struggle with stair climbing. Definitely will start on these exercises tomorrow. I don’t like the way I feel at this age. Hoping these three exercises will help me become more active.
I started doing these exercises after watching your video today. I'm a runner for over 50 years. I'm 66 now and I noticed that my left leg was slightly weak compared to my right leg while doing these exercises. I will make it a point to do these PST 2-3 times a day. Thanks for the video and I will continue to watch your other videos. Have a nice day!
Thankfully, I just found this video! I have subscribed immediately! I'm 81 and overweight and NOW must overcome sarcopenia! I do feel the weakness in my legs...and do not feel "secure" with each step. I use a cane occasionally for balance. PLEASE, any other advice will be life-saving! Thank you so, so very much!!! Mike
Increase protein slowly, coming up to 100g a day, if you can, even more. (100g protein = about 400g steak or 500g ground beef or salmon). That will keep you satisfied for longer, and you may lose some weight. Look into meat based nutrition like steaks, ground meat, fish, eggs with grilled vegetables and green salad, quit seed oils, other processed foods, sugar, gluten (bread and baked goods), rice, pasta and potatoes, all fruits and anything with fructose (honey), and dairy. That means elimination diet. After about 8 weeks you can reintroduce one food in 3 days and look if you have no issues. Never get back to highly processed foods, seed oils and sugar. Look into Fodmap protocol as well as keto/ carnivore diets (low carb) (Dr. Cywes, Dr. Ken Berry, Dr. Bickman, also early videos).
Thank you SO SO MUCH. I am extremely grateful for this easy-to-follow video to help me climb my stairs. Have had 3 knee operations and 1 hip operation. Yours truly is one of the BEST videos I have watched and been able to do. Thanks so much for being such a blessing to us.
I will be 74 in November. I had bilateral hip replacement maybe 10 years ago, and left knee replacement after that. These are some fair exercises. They wanted us doing "arm chair push ups: prior to both surgeries. I would suggest that for starting out. Nice that you put in a going down the stairs exercise. Can't say that I have ever heard of some one falling while going up the stairs, but many many cases of getting hurt going down the stairs. Totally different ways of loading and unloading your leg muscles. Oh, best back relief exercise I have heard of, and especially for swimmers, "Suck in your gut like you are trying to put your belly button on your spine." from a coach at Speedo. So many hip and back problems come from slouching.
Excellent video! Well done! You are giving us info we can use in a way that is easy to understand, doable at home using things we have at home. Your delivery is professional and friendly. Thanks so much for posting this.
Thank you thank you. I have just spent three weeks in a re education centre to improve my muscles but you have instantly identifed all the problems I have and have given me exercises to do at home that are simple and require no great equipment. This is much needed in todays world of more and more sedentary older people. I love it and will try them out. Will update as I go on. Ten out of ten!
Thank you for helping out old people with hurting joints. Yes, thank you for helping ME to learn what I need to do, and should have been doing all along. Maine says "Hello".
I'm watching from Indonesia. Do these exercise keep our knees out of pain? I'm 80 yo 9:42 lady and still have good knees, only osteoporosis in my spine. And if only you have some exercises for spine except plank. Because sometimes I do plank. Thank you.
5 1/2 weeks ago I have pelvic floor surgery. The doctor said don't do exercise but do walk. So I have been doing a lot of walking and an couple weeks ago I decided to start walking backward a little and walk backward up the small hill of dirt left over from building our house many years ago. I can sure feel it and I know I am building muscle in my knees, upper and lower legs and butt. These walks will be a part of my daily do from now on. Thanks for these ideas.
That's really good for the brain too. Our brains are used to the same repetitive methods, like when you come down stairs & always go right. When you start going left, your brain "wakes up" & that's good.😊
Hello Shrey! This is the first time I saw a video addressing my actual issue. I am a 62 year old regular gym going guy. MY upper body is strong and muscled. My issue is weak legs - cant stand for a long time as my legs give way, cant lift my leg and walk is a bit dodgy. I feel your exercises will help me gain my thigh muscle and make my glutes stronger. Thank you so much Shrey. I will update you on my progress. Cheers.
🎁THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age brought by Christ to purify man with His Word" (In the future, whether you will be blessed or cursed will be decided based on your actions and behavior today. If God will make you perfect, it will be right now, at this time; there will be no other opportunity in the future. In the future, if any trials befall you, any events take place, or any calamities befall you, God wants to make you perfect; this is a certain and indisputable fact. Almost no one from past generations has experienced this; even in the time of Jesus the revelations of today did not exist. The words spoken to you, what you understand, and things you experience have all reached a new peak. You do not go away in the midst of trials and chastisements, and this is enough to prove that God's work has reached unprecedented glory. So, it is appropriate that each of you do your best and do not limit your efforts so that God can make you perfect. During these times you should not pay attention to negative things. When you manage things, do so with a heart that seeks, and caresses, a heart that longs for God. For example, your older brothers and sisters have religious beliefs, but you can pray, submit, eat and drink the word of God, and sing hymns.... It means whatever you can do, whatever role you can play, put your all into it with all the energy you can muster. Then when you can understand the truth and enter into the reality of God's word, you have been made perfect by God.) If God will make you perfect, that is certainly now, at this time; there won't be another chance in the future. Even now, God really wants to make you perfect, and this is not a way of speaking. In the future, if any trials befall you, any events take place, or any calamities befall you, God wants to make you perfect; this is a certain and indisputable fact. From where can it be seen? This is seen in the fact that the word of God, in all ages and generations, has never reached such a high peak as it is today. It has entered into the highest scope, and the work of the Holy Spirit in all mankind today has never happened before. Almost no one from past generations has experienced this; even in the time of Jesus the revelations of today did not exist. The words spoken to you, what you understand, and things you experience have all reached a new peak. 🔴 You do NOT leave the midst of TRIALS and PUSHING, and this is enough to prove that God's work has reached beyond what man can do, nor is it something that man maintains; but rather it is the work of God Himself. So, from the many facts of God's work, it can be seen that God wants to make man perfect, and He can certainly make you perfect. If you can see this, if you can have this new discovery, you will not wait for the second coming of Jesus; instead, you will let God make you perfect in the present time. So, it is appropriate that each of you do your best and do not limit your efforts so that God can make you perfect. 🙏 During these TIMES NEGATIVE THINGS should NOT be ignored. First, put aside and IGNORE ANYTHING that makes you feel negative. 🔴 When you MANAGE things--things, DO so WITH a HEART that SEARCHES and caresses, a HEART SUBJECTING to GOD. For example, your older brothers and sisters have religious beliefs, but you can pray, submit, eat and drink the word of God, and sing hymns.... Thank you, Mr. Vazir! I'm 73 and broke my hip and femur in the same accident. That was in October 2022. I will do all of these in the future, along with my other exercises.
New Sub., This is an excellent video and I will start this exercise routine tomorrow morning. You have a wonderful personality and your patients must love you. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and may you reach 1 million subscribers. KUDOS!
Thank U! Now I found clear why I have lost the strenght of legs more and more after operation I was stronger, but I forgot similar advices…. THANK YOU👍🏼
thank you thank you my left leg is better and getting stronger still cleaning and have found my legs weakening especially during covid now to find something to stand on a folding stool is my option and a bag full of heavy books will be my resistance
Hope not yes arthritic knees swollen and bad surgery no help but going to try at 70. I use weights for upper arms but have nothing for legs that are giving way
Thank you for this. I’m 58 and I suffer from several invisible illnesses, and I’m losing strength in my legs and find it harder to climb my front steps. I will do this regularly from now on. ❤
Nose over toes is an easy way for me to remember to go up stairs. Great advice young man, I'm in PT for my knee and I will be adding the three exercises to my workouts.
I went immediately to do these exercises as they didn't look too demanding. I was so pleased that with effort and persistence they were great to do, as I was able to do what I hadn't done easily for quite a long time. I am very excited, I believe this is the beginning of stronger days! Thank you!
This young man is awesome! I've experienced arthritis in both knees, hips. He's right on the spot. I've was approved for physical therapy and it's made a world of difference. Mobility, mobility, is the key. He's doing everything that my physical therapy is doing during my sessions. However, I will ask my P T about doing eccentric strengthening in the near future. In the past I've been in extreme hip joint pain. I've had to use crutches, cane and sometimes a wheelchair. I would love to be able to move up and down the stairs with limited pain.

Thank you, I’m going to try this today
Thanks
Are these exercises effective for athletes including Rugby? Also thanks for this great posts
I did all three for three weeks and what a difference.Thank you very much.
I’m only 86 and feeling great.
Great job! so happy to hear that! keep it up 👏
I really like the way you said that I am only 86
"only 86", . . . I *love* it!
Thank you!
@LottieLane2486
Try a BIG book!!
But use support for stability til strong enough to exercise on the stairs
@@birgip.m.1236Thank you. I,LL do just that. 😊
And get to a gym if you can
My co worker who was about 350 lbs had great difficulty getting up the stairs at work.
Oh my goodness son! I am so glad this popped up on my feed and I'm going to start doing this tomorrow. God bless you!❤ I'm 64 and my legs are weak
My mom who was living with us, at 94 , had a 10 day hospital bout. She could only shuffle a few steps after that. But we had a 5 step front porch entrance. We daily went to parks, or a mall or visited friends and family. (She had oxygen and a walker)
Mom worked diligently for three months with chair exercises and going up and down on just one or two steps on our inside stairs. And she did it! She got down and up the front porch. She was exuberant! Mom had two more years of good life before her lungs gave out (emphysema)
She used to say, “ If only I hadn’t smoked!”
Miss her a lot.
💔
😢❤
God bless you
Wow, even with smoking she got to such a ripe old age!

I am a month away from age 78. Just discovered your stair climbing video. It is a masterful presentation. You are pleasant to listen to, thorough in your explanations and concise. Thank you for this very helpful information. I will definitely subscribe.
As a 70-yr old, I can fully endorse these exercises. This is one of the best (if not THE best) videos on the subject.
I am 78 with a heart transplant I am surely working on this exercise
Inspiring to all .

Totally agree - this is THE best video on the subject. Precise, do-able and easy to understand and follow. Only sorry that Vazir is not in the UK !
I’m 77 and I will start these exercises today. Thank you so much.x
Here's why I subscribed, the information was short and complete. You recognized that I am not here to study for a PhD, but need clear information. Lastly the exercises are easy to remember and sound doable.
Exactly. Thank you
Great minds think alike, exactly why I subscribed!
I am from India very nice explained and easy to do also
Thank you very much sir
Thank you
Did exactly the same for the same reasons.
Thank you for sharing.
I shall try that.
👍😎
Thank you so much for the kind words :) I hope these exercises help!! - Shrey
I've just turned 80 , live in a 3-story townhouse and am determined to maintain mobility! I work out diligently 3x a week with weights but climbing stairs has become harder this year. Really appreciate your videos, especially this one 😊
You're doing the right thing. Well done
You can cash that death trap in for a magnificent 1 storey - maybe with acreage.
If weights are light or if you’re doing the same weight without progression in sets, reps or change of routine ..diligence becomes negligible.
You are doing way better of many of us.
I have never had a problem with stairs until recently and I am 75. Can't wait to try these exercises and I am so glad I found you.
You can do it.
Thank you! I’m 72

I also am 87, I climb stairs every day. Thats what keeps me fit. So I keep doing it.
you're 1 in 87. Just hope your mind stays as fit as your legs.
My Mom is 86 and I’m 65. The stairs work for us- six 8 tier steps to get to our apartment, then 12 steps on the ground level up to our rooms. God is so good 😊 🙏🏽😊

I am much younger than most people commenting here. I noticed pain in my knees going up the stairs and added milk to my oatmeal cereal (which I had stopped several years earlier due to other reasons) and my pain completely went away. Investigate how raw milk maintains the enzymes and processes itself. It can cure asthma and do awesome things for your health. Just investigate.

Why doesn't my doctor's give such sensible advice thank you 👍
Cuz doctors are trained & paid pill pushers who aren't trained in healing & natural health.

Then when you can understand the truth and enter into the reality of God's word, you have been made perfect by God.)
Almighty God said
In the future, whether you will be blessed or cursed will be decided based on your actions and behavior today. If God will make you perfect, that is certainly now, at this time; there won't be another chance in the future.
You do NOT leave the midst of TRIALS and PUSHING, and this is enough to prove that God's work has reached beyond what man can do, nor is it something that man maintains; but rather it is the work of God Himself. 🙏
During these TIMES NEGATIVE THINGS should NOT be ignored. First, put aside and IGNORE ANYTHING that makes you feel negative. 🔴
When you MANAGE things--things, DO so WITH a HEART that SEARCHES and caresses, a HEART SUBJECTING to GOD. Whenever you discover a weakness within yourself but do not submit to its control and do the duty you are supposed to do, it is a positive step forward. For example, your older brothers and sisters have religious beliefs, but you can pray, submit, eat and drink the word of God, and sing hymns.... It means whatever you are capable of doing, whatever role you are capable of performing, put your all--everything into it with ALL THE STRENGTH YOU CAN MUSTER.🙏
DO NOT WAIT idly. GIVING--PLEASE GOD in DOING your DUTY is the first STEP. Then when you can understand the truth and ENTER into the REALITY of the WORD of GOD, you are MADE PERFECT by GOD. 🙏

Fulfillment of (John 1:1) and (Ezekiel 2:9-10), (Revelation 18:9,13)
The Savior has returned and He or Christ has fulfilled His building of the kingdom/church on top of the rock or standing in the worthy holy place in the air/TH-cam! When He came He fulfilled what was prophesied in the book of Revelation and from there it is recorded that He changed a new name and the name of His city from ("THE CHURCH OF ALMIGHTY GOD" 💐) "The Epistle to the church of Philadelphia" "The one who overcomes is I will make a pillar totemple of my God, and he shall not be removed from it forever. I will engrave on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem that will come down out of heaven from my God. I will also engrave him with my new name. (Revelation 3:12). ... "The Reign of the Prince of Peace" "For a baby boy is born and he will rule over us. He is the wonderful counselor, the Almighty God, the eternal Father, the Prince of peace." "They said together, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the throne!" (Revelation 7:10). ... Thank you, Mr. Vazir! I'm 73 and broke my hip and femur in the same accident. That was in October 2022. I will do all of these in the future, along with my other exercises.
Thank you for your great explanation as well as showing the exercises that are easy to do in real life.

Thank you for creating this video! I am 73 and I will try these exercises.
Excellent exercises if you have good knees (arthritis). If not, may cause pain due to inflammation or bone on bone friction, I would think.
My dear son, i feel HAPPY about this video. Thanks.
Nose over toes is an easy way for me to remember to go up stairs. Great advice young man, I'm in PT for my knee and I will be adding the three exercises to my workouts.
Pretty good. I would like to see some modifications for people with serious knee pain, exacerbated by climbing stairs.
Great suggestion! I will be adding a knee pain video soon!
I went immediately to do these exercises as they didn't look too demanding. I was so pleased that with effort and persistence they were great to do, as I was able to do what I hadn't done easily for quite a long time. I am very excited, I believe this is the beginning of stronger days! Thank you!
This makes me so happy to hear :) Thank you for sharing this! Made my day!
Simple and very doable. Very helpful explanations, too - thank you!
