Great video! I have a few questions: 1. What case did you show us for the camera itself? 2. Do you have any lens cap recommendations? 3. Do you have any recommendations for camera lights? Thanks a bunch!
1. The case was -Tenba SKyline camera case: amzn.to/3vqDy72 2. I usually just use the ones that come with the lens and use my camera bag 3. If you’re asking about lights that you can mount on top of your camera then I’d recommend the Aputure MC light. It’s a high quality light with a soft diffuser so it will actually look good and not harsh

The only one I’ve tried is one off of Amazon as well, but I haven’t had an issues yet. The one I use on my production setup is the Kondor Blue dummy but it’s connected to a V-Mount battery
Going to be attempting my first project are nd filters and color correcting a must just trying to get the most natural look from camera any pointers or advice would be much appreciated
I would start by shooting in standard profile and when filming try to get the exposure to around 0 on the meter. The new filters are only going to help you get the correct exposure outside in bright conditions whil maintaining a shutter speed and Aputure. Then in post all you would really need to adjust is highlights and shadows and you will should get pretty good looking natural looks.
Great video! You really covered it all here. I also have the PM VND II and it LIVES on my camera ha! Great for the food channel where most if not all of the videos are run & gun outside. I've just got the Sony-ZV-E10, I wanna get an external mic, what do you think is the "biggest" / longest mic that will fit (with a deadcat) without being in shot of the kit lens? Obviously you show the Deity D4 Mini and Rode VideoMcro Compact are fine, but when about the Rode VideoMcro Compact II or Rode VideoMc Pro (with deadcats)? You mention the NTG but don't show it fitted, but I'm gonna assume that's gonna be too large with the deadcat. Looking around the net it appears the "micro" mics are the safe bet, but nothing conclusion, so just trying to find out for sure.
I started making asmr videos. I always connect my blue yeti mic to my Sony zv-e10 camera and no matter how much I reduce the gain or set my wind noise reducer on, there is still a lot of white noise. is there another way to reduce hissing/white noise in the camera or in the mic? other apps like iMovie don't work well with noise reduction. I just want to make my voice the only sound just like your video but how?🤷🏽♀️
@@ChristianContessa well the rolling shutter won’t get any better on this camera, but the 10-18 lens makes the active stabilization crop look like what the 16 should look like. Plus that lens is stabilized so you can get away with just standard stabilization and keep that 10mm length.
Hey Kyle , I’m not a blogger but learning to photograph mainly for Realestate…. This falls in my budge over the A7 series. Would this work for me over the Sony 6400 ?
Other than not having a viewfinder it’s basically the same camera. In fact the zve10 has better auto focus. On my a6400 I fell like I’ve used the view finder maybe a couple times so I dont miss not having one
It’s still a good camera. Not sure how you would be using it but it’s kinda hard to compare a GoPro with a mirrorless camera. To me GoPros are more of an action camera that get used for a specific situation.
Lovely Video Love from Pakistani Vlogger xD, just tell me i do food vlogging outside. which camera should i go for zv e10 or a6400.. and can i use kit lens for starting.. please give response :D
both camera are pretty similar. Id pick up which ever one you can get your hands on. i know the zve10 is still on back order so it could be awhile before you find one. the kit lens is still a nice lens. but i primarily used my Sigma 16mm 1.4 lens to get better depth of field
@@KyleWattsTV 😁 Thanks for respond, yes ur right zv e10 is short in market. with sigma 16mm can i zoom? bcoz some footage i need from some steps away and zoomed in.
@@mhka the sigma 16 is a fixed focal length of 16mm. One lens I really like that’s a zoom lens is the Sony 18-105. Plus it’s a stabilized lens so it will help with stabilization. Otherwise the kit lens is still a good option
Hi Kyle! I just got this camera and was wondering about the small rig cage w/grip extension and the small rig base plate. I want to protect my camera so getting the cage would be ideal, but I’ve seen some reviews that say the cage has “compatibility” issues when it comes to using attachments that would be ideal for TH-cam or TikTok videos (ex: Mics, vertical shooting, covering up other parts of the camera, etc.) As I’m sure you’ve picked up both these small rig items by now, I was wondering if this was true about the cage? My camera will be used for TH-cam videos as well a lot of vertical videos for reels, tiktok, etc. so I am curious to see if this would all be possible with the small grip cage? Thank you so much for taking the time to read/answer this if you have!! (I am a beginner to cameras and camera accessories if that wasn’t clear already by my comment lol, so your input would be of tremendous help!)
the small rig cage and grip makes holding this camera way better! and technically the cage will give you more mounting options and mounts for vertical video. this is the one i have amzn.to/3xShT9O
Kyle, I love your suggestions. I've been doing this crazy stuff for over 40 years,,,20 years with an Arri BL which I hauled all over the world by myself... but digital for only 20. I recently bought 2 Sony ZV-e10''s and have found it one of the best cameras for the price on the market. I'm even working at shooting a low budget feature with it. My greatest worry so far is overheating! Will. the SmallRig Extension Grip for Sony ZV-E10 (black) work effectively as a heat sink? or is there something better? Camera over heating is one of my greatest fears with this little gem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Mickey Grant
There is a setting in the camera where you can turn the temp setting to high. I was shooting with the zve-10 in really hot temps for pretty much the whole day and didn’t even get a warning that it was overheating. The only Sony camera I’ve experienced overheating was the rx100
Hi Kyle, thanks for the great video. Do you have any suggestions for a teleprompter that works with the ZVE10 (with kit-lense)? I have a Desview T3 teleprompter. In order to fix the ZVE10 to the Desview, I had to get a step-up ring adaptor from 40.5 to 55, easy enough. Now the camera attaches to the teleprompter weill, but the camera now tells me that it cant recognize the lense. Might be because of the weight of the teleprompter on the lense. Any advice or suggestions?
Hey man , so for 4k vlogging do you recommend the SanDisk extreme pro 200 mb/s or 300 mb/s ? Big price gap difference and want to be certain before purchasing
You know how there's parental lock, there should be one for Adults that need to stop buying stuff online LOL! I am planning to use my EV 10 more than my A6300 for videography for sure!
Hi Kyle, I have a question. Do you have to do any set up on this cam to use external mic? I bought sony zv e10 along with dji microphone. Tried so many ways but the external audio just doesn't capture. :( do you have any tips? Dji mic works on all my other devices like macbook, Samsung phones, dji action 2 but not sony zve10.
ok im super green in this. I check the transmitter recording, it does capture the audio. when i tried playback on sony, or transfer the video on macbook, it doesnt have the audio. Is this the case for you and everyone else? And you are supposed to mix the audio and the video together on editor? or we should be able to hear the audio on the video file?
@@deemayannimaat the only thing I can think of it that the input the 3.5mm cable goes into it the cable itself went bad. How high are you bringing the mic volume up to in the camera?

These are mostly in mediums and sometimes I step in and it turns into a close up. A cinematic “feel” is something I strive for. Needs AF. Preferably I can also use that lense for when we are out and about to film us/ stuff etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you 🙏🏽
I’m a big fan of the Sony 18-105mm lens. It’s super versatile and has a sharp but almost diffused look which I really love. It’s been my go to lens on my aps-c Sony cameras
Would you recommend a zv e10 or zv1 for my first camera, using it for zoom calls, youtube vids, vlogging etc and prob want to get something that would pair well with the a7 iv when it comes out.
Yes, it’s a great starter camera. I tend to use my zv1 as a secondary camera to my a7siii but that’s mostly due to its size and ability to pocket the camera. But the zv-e10 is perfect for beginners who want to get into interchangeable lenses
@@umairahmadmalik for me, since I already have the zv1 and the a7siii it probably won’t. The zv1 for me fits that need of take it anywhere ability and the a7siii fits the interchangeable lens. But if it’s a first camera for you it would be perfect. It’s very similar to the a6400/a6600 which I used to use exclusively.

Which handheld tripod if I have the Tamron 17-70 on this camera?
The Ulanzi my-47 is a good one. It’s been my go to for awhile
@@KyleWattsTV Thanks a lot man
@@KyleWattsTV Thanks so much for the reply, what are your thoughts on the PGYTech MantisPod 2.0?
@@seth_andal haven’t used it so I can’t really say
I started making asmr videos. I always connect my blue yeti mic to my Sony zv-e10 camera and no matter how much I reduce the gain or set my wind noise reducer on, there is still a lot of white noise. is there another way to reduce hissing/white noise in the camera or in the mic? other apps like iMovie don't work well with noise reduction. I just want to make my voice the only sound just like your video but how?🤷🏽♀️
Outstanding video, very informative - thank you

Great Video, I just picked one up myself for my vlogs and love it
Great camera for vlogging!
@@KyleWattsTV I just need to find a way around the Rolling Shutter. That Doesn't crop the video so much like the Active Stabilization.
@@ChristianContessa well the rolling shutter won’t get any better on this camera, but the 10-18 lens makes the active stabilization crop look like what the 16 should look like. Plus that lens is stabilized so you can get away with just standard stabilization and keep that 10mm length.
@@KyleWattsTV Thank you for the tip, just getting into the whole camera space. I’ve been clogging with my iPhone so it’s a pretty big jump
@@KyleWattsTV thank you for your reply. I rarely to never use the view finder. 👍🏻
Is this camera still worth buying or should I wait for the GoPro 11?
@@KyleWattsTV okay i got it and thanks brother, i wish your channel grow up very fast 💨💨💨
(I am a beginner to cameras and camera accessories if that wasn’t clear already by my comment lol, so your input would be of tremendous help!)
the small rig cage and grip makes holding this camera way better! and technically the cage will give you more mounting options and mounts for vertical video. this is the one i have amzn.to/3xShT9O
what size mm lens would you recommend for the zv-e10 to get a similar shot to the one you used in this video?
Is it possible to charge Sony's original battery in a third party adapter?
Yes. Works the same
Kyle, I love your suggestions.
Lll

Great video. Thank you!

When using other lens do you need to have a lens adapter?
Only if it’s not a Sony e-mount lens. There are a lot of lenses out there for the Sony e-mount system
Im very new to all of this, but im leaning towards the zv e10 for the price point. Would the rolling shutter be an issue shooting automotive content?
If you’re moving the camera side to side very fast then yes. But most cameras have rolling shutter of some sort so you tend to get use to it.
@@KyleWattsTV awesome advice thanks so much, im guessing a gimble or some type of device like that would help as well?

Good stuff Kyle!
Which lens you used to shoot this video..please let me know it helps
Sigma 24-70 f2.8
Hey man , so for 4k vlogging do you recommend the SanDisk extreme pro 200 mb/s or 300 mb/s ? Big price gap difference and want to be certain before purchasing
These are the ones I use

Add to this Sony’s streaming cable (power chord with dummy battery), ECM-B10 mic
Thank you for your reply. I went down to the store and it work well now, which is very strange as I did the exact same thing as the technician. There wasn't any special or different method. 😅
Whats is the bes filter for Sony ZV-E10 with sigma 16 mm 1.4,? thinkink i make a live in my office and make courses too...
I personally use the polar pro Peter McKinnon vnd and the freewell magnet vnd set. Both 2-5 stops and 6-9 stops for very sunny days
@@KyleWattsTV tks.. But I use in my office, I need this?
@@alexdonega ND filters are really only needed in bight light conditions (like sunglasses for your camera) that allows you to keep a low Aperture with correct exposure
I appreciate your content. Thank you. I’m looking into getting the ZV E10. If I’d get one lense which one would you recommend?
My main use is doing self tapes.
@@KyleWattsTV awesome. Do you see this becoming your travel vlog go-to instead of the zv1?
@@umairahmadmalik for me, since I already have the zv1 and the a7siii it probably won’t. The zv1 for me fits that need of take it anywhere ability and the a7siii fits the interchangeable lens. But if it’s a first camera for you it would be perfect. It’s very similar to the a6400/a6600 which I used to use exclusively.
@@KyleWattsTV thanks I had the choice between zv1 used excellent condition for $530 vs new zv e10 and went with the e10 yeaterday at BestBuy

Why no one mentions the EVF attachment for this
Are you referring to the attachment that you put over the screen? I just recently saw those but I know the external evf from Sony doesn’t work o. The zve10
