i was informed my combox and amp needs to be replaced due to water damage. I have no audio or screen. i purchased the exact used combox and Top HiFi amp and still nothing comes on, any suggestions?
if you replace your unit with the same thing do you still need to code it? i have a bluetooth failure and just need to replace. i dont want an upgrade.

Why won’t the navigation work and with the Bluetooth since I have a 2007 that the Bluetooth module only makes calls and receives call will I need to change something else in my car. I have a 2007 525i E60 I got the cic out of another true e60 2010. I’m so lost on this coding and stuff need help!!!
the cic unit needs to be coded to make navigation work. your retrofitted cic has the VIN of the car you got it from in it. if that number doesn‘t match your cars VIN, the navigation is locked and can‘t be used. you need to find someone to „virginize“ it and write your cars VIN in it. seems to be a bit tricky. and without the combox in the trunk you won‘t be able to use bluetooth for music, only for calls.
Can you do a video on how to fix crackling and buzzing noise coming out of my speakers? It happens when I floor it and I play loud music, still haven’t figured it out, thanks.

I emailed the dealership to find out about getting the LTE combox installed and this is how they responded, is this accurate? "A bit of bad news I'm afraid... The previous owner actually elected to have the combox deactivated and receive a $200 voucher. This option unfortunately prevents the vehicle from having BMW Assist capability entirely. Sorry about that." Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!

What does this combox even do? Can someone explain me? My Audio-Hifi systems makes strange white noise and almost never plays the music since 6 month. the salesman told me the problem comes from the combox. Because Radio and CD works, only USB and Bluetooth don't.
Hi thanks for the upload, I am a little confused do you need to keep your phone plugged into the car to use Spotify ect? If so I don't see the point in the com box as you can plug in a Bluetooth adapter bovee ect and go hands free with steering wheel skip. Thanks in advance

Anyway, when I watch your DIY videos one thing I wish you do before you start is to show everything needed to get the job done. I notice you didn't connect anything to the MULF blue plug, you left it hanging. Did you lose any functionality because of that? Does your AUX audio still work?
Did you ever find an answer to this? My aux isn’t working, it not grayed out but when you select it it won’t select. I opened up my trunk to find this hanging mulf plug and bypass loop
