    I enjoyed this conversation and the transparency, but I think that it’s also important to promote safe sex along with casual sex. Throughout this discussion I didn’t hear any mention of condoms, testing, PREP, discussing status with these casual sex partners, etc. It’s ok to be a freak. But be a safe freak. Sex is an opportunity to explore yourself, but it’s also an opportunity to learn how to protect yourself and your sexual partners.

      Its 2024! Safe sex should be a NON NEGOTIABLE unspoken GIVEN for those that are interested. Its not their JOB to tell you and others what should be COMMON sex. Not one time did they say have sex without condoms and allow random strangers to bust inside you. You're projecting heavy sweety. Get some healing

    Well said. Saunas in Europe was where you could discover yourself sexually and have freedom to enjoy a variety of men without guilt and with a comfort , that you may not experience here.

    Wow! I really enjoyed listening to y’all! From someone who has dealt with trauma and addiction I. Find myself lost and feeling dirty and used. How to differentiate a healthy way to have sex and an unhealthy way?

    This is a huge problem in our community we just want to make random sex and being unsafe OKAY and make it like a trophie, we are literally killing each other. So many young HIV brothers walking amongst us and it’s sad. We are so amazing, we don’t have to lay on our back to feel impowered.

    • @drnstjhn
      @drnstjhn 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      it's not a huge problem in the community in very recent years. people who are negative are staying negative much easier. stop being in the community and spreading the bad, false stereotypes of the community. prep is VERY used and effective. the state of hiv today is far different than it was even 10 years ago

    There is so much more to life than sex and I haven't heard that mentioned ONCE. This is why sex shouldn't have this much weight or power over ANY individual person. Sex is not the only thing on earth and is definitely the LEAST healthy way to HEAL oneself.

    • @SurfaceLevelPodcast
      @SurfaceLevelPodcast  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      But sexuality is what this episode (and our entire season) is about lol it's literally the topic of discussion here. We have so many other episodes from previous seasons that are non sex related. Please check those out :)

    I appreciate the vulnerability and transparency of this group. I do wonder how this preoccupation with sex affects ones ability to receive love. I do feel that you can ruin yourself for love by heavy engagement in casual encounters. I also feel like casual sex can communicate a subconscious devaluation and self diminishing behavior. It seems that some gay men use sex as an outlet to avoid dealing with various things. I do not think God condones fornication as sex is a spiritual act that is often times confused as strictly physical. I think we are going to see during this current Age that we were wrong about casual sex.

    Great conversation even though hoeing around doesnt resonate with me . I don't belive sleeping around is the only way we can live and enjoy life abundantly. It depicts rhe LGBTQ community in a bad light and also "while living life abundantly"we also have to remember the STDs .but like i said ,great conversation!!
