Time has passed and something truly felt different. Now that y’all are back I am genuinely happy and giddy chile! The show has had an incredible impact on my life. When I watch the bond between the three of you I feel hopeful that I will have friendships specifically with other queer men who are in alignment with myself. I have only had that experience platonically with women through my life but communing with other men it is something I definitely think would be beneficial. Love yall DOWN!! I will continue to support this show until the book of Surface Level is closed. Thank you all for helping me feel less alone. - Love V💚
This! You are exactly the reason why we started this 🥺 We love you deep and we hope we continue to create space that makes you feel more seen and alive. It’s kind notes like these that encourages us to keep going, because the notion that anything we’ve said has helped someone else in this world feel more seen is time well spent. You got this! We see you and we encourage you to continue doing the work for yourself 😘😌
@@SurfaceLevelPodcast OK I'm back! This was great. My hookup story was me being totally ignorant. A guy I hoooked up with from A4A multiple times reached out on the app as usual and said cum over. I got there and he says just come in the door is open. I'm thinking this kinky since we have done this before. I walked in and went to the same bedroom as usual. The lights were off, ok cool. I know my way around and we have been consistent on the hookups in the last two months. I get in the bed and we get right to it (I'm topping this time). Him on his stomach and I'm just goin in. I'm a lil high and It's so good , just amazing. It did feel a lil different and for the first time he cums without touching himself. Ok, that's also NEW! and I cum to. Well, time to turn on the lights. It wasn't him!!!!! It was his roommate. I was nearly speechless. My only question was, "was that you who hit me up on A4A?"He says yes. I say ok cool the sex was good and I got tf out of there.Hold on now! They both have the same build and shape and everything was familiar to me until we started having sex.
as an early 20 gay, i’m noting y’all’s horror stories cause a concrete shed would irritate my soul 😂 i live for this podcast tho i need to deep dive into the older episodes.
I recall reading F scott Fitzgerald books and the HOOK UP culture amongst the 1920 children was NOTHING TO play with ! LOL. I feel like its always been around however as marginalized folk existing in Amerikka with all of its vile tentacles it does impact us more vile however its totally not specific to queer or blk queers. I'm a little confused. Why do people say their pronouns are he and him, but would refer to themselves as girls.. For example, if I were to call a guy "girl" that labels himself he/ him, but refers to himself as "girl," is that disrespectful? Serious question. It's misleading af. 😅 like which one are you?
I think you’re busy trying to conflate pronouns with colloquialisms. When many gay men refer to each other, within the community, as “girls“, they are doing so colloquially, as in a friend. They are not identifying the other persons gender pronouns. Now, when we are interacting with someone who is trans or gender nonconforming and we say she/her/girl…..we are acknowledging that person’s preference in their gender identity. Hope that helps, and just know there are many things about straight people that we find confusing af as well 😊.
@bernardwylie9760 okay.. I sorta figured that could be the case.. Colloquially.. Gotcha.. I should know this being that I'm not straight.. I have gay n bi friends, but the majority of my closest friends are "straight" so I be a lil behind with some parts of the lifestyles, lingos and terminologies.. I appreciate the breakdown homie!

@@dantesummers4048 No, but why are you still having sex with randoms? Get in a relationship, build something that is lasting and you’ll definitely find greater fulfillment.
@@heyheyhey40everyone is different. What's fulfilling to you may not be fulfilling to someone else. Also some people simply wanna fuck on some randoms and there's nothing wrong with that as long as you're careful and safe. A highlight to my week!!!

Gay dating is horrendous because it’s all about sex. And almost everyone has the same mindset.
It’s hard out here!
@SurfaceLevelPodcast Well if your thing is hard keep it in your draws.

So we're supposed to stop having sex once you hit 30? I don't understand.
