This is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve been wanting to work with gold embossed technique so I can apply it on my personalized logo but wasn’t sure how to go about it without customizing a stamp pad. This turned out great. The gold trim in the bottom of the card is such a great idea to add some gold accents. I’ve already got tons of ideas to use this technique! Thank you so much. Heat gun is already in my Amazon cart! Can’t wait to crank up my cricut 😄
Thankyou, I was looking at those yesterday at the craft store, I am making my son and his fiancé's wedding invitations, and wanted to emboss them, but did not know how to use them. :) now I am excited to run out and try them.
Hey! I really love your video I’m trying to create the same effect by debiasing fabric and adding embossing powder on that section do I have to use a scoring tool or can I use a debossing tool?
If you purchase the WOW! embossing pen you dont have to be in a rush to get the powder down because the formula stays sticky (wet) for 24+ hours. Also if you use an antistatic powder on your cardstock before you put into the Cricut it will remove any areas where the rogue powder might grab onto the paper. You wont ever have to pull out a dry brush to remove extra powder. I love heat embossing as well but I find that the tip of embossing pen when used in the Cricut gets smashed down a bit too much because it is a very soft tip. When this happens, over time the embossing line becomes way too big.
You can always try. Not all pens will fit but there are hacks to make it work such as removing the pen holder insert and tying an elastic around it. You can also get pen holder adapters on Amazon. Just be aware that if you try any of these hacks it may void your Cricut warranty. So test things out at your own risk.
@@littlecraftnest thank you for replying! I ended up just opening the notebook to make it thinner and loaded it as the heaviest wood choice and it worked!! yay!! It was a process though to not have the notebook stick the mat it's self. Bc it ripped the pages when we peeled it off, my first go around.
Great question. If I ever find one I'll let you know. You could try the elastic trick, of wrapping a hair tie around the pen and then adjusting it in the joy.
So glad I looked up embossing pen with the cricut! Thanks for the video.
You’re welcome!
You are excellent at giving directions
Thank you!
Loved this, just tried embossing with the pen and powder. Love how it turned out. Thanks for great tutorial.
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you ! 👍
So cool and pretty , work very well . 🥰😊👍
Thank you!
This video was extremely informative and easy to follow!! Can you use these embossing tools and techniques on other material like velvet or linen?
I havnt tried but if you try it out, let me know how it works. I would normally use glitter HTV on fabric material to get that look.
You did such a wonderful job explaining this and showing how to emboss with a Cricuit. Love it!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I have a question how long does the adhesive ink stay wet enough to apply the embossing powder? I'm wanting to ad some on my product sell tags
Just what I wanted to know, so awesome thank you for sharing😃
You’re welcome!
Do you know if the embossing pen you are using fits into the Cricut Joy?
Hey! I really love your video I’m trying to create the same effect by debiasing fabric and adding embossing powder on that section do I have to use a scoring tool or can I use a debossing tool?
I have not tried this with fabric. I would test both ways on scrap pieces and see what you like best.
So gorgeous! Thank you for a great tip!
You’re welcome.
Rumor has it, Crayola Markers work great too
I’ve heard that rumor too!

Hi Did you use a clear pen or black please, all I can find at my local store is clear. and how long can you wait to use the powder?
Clear. I used the powder directly after the Cricut drew the design.
Can you do this with the cricut explore air 2?
Yes you can.
Please how can I get this such pen you used?….
There are links in the description of the video of all the products I use.
@@littlecraftnest thanks very much
Can I use my liquid gold pen in the circut

I had anxiety while you were talking that it would dry and the powder wouldn’t stick. It turned out beautifully though
Lol - Yes it all worked out! And yes you’re right it’s usually better to work quickly when using ink and embossing powder.
Hi, what pens did you use please? I can’t find the link xx

How can I do this on a notebook with my cricut maker 3
You will not be able to fit a notebook through your Maker. I would suggest making a glitter vinyl decal to put on your notebook.

I love that you’re experimenting with new things. Happy crafting!
what possessed you to use black cardstock for "Baby Blessings"???????
Just something different! I actually did it on white first but I really love how gold pops on the black - so I went with it.
Plus, black is so versatile and you can decorate it more with diecuts, stamps, or stick on some cute embellishments.
Silver and Gold typically pops more on darker backgrounds instead of lighter ones ✨️
Has anyone found an embossing pen that will fit a Cricut Joy?
Great question. If I ever find one I'll let you know. You could try the elastic trick, of wrapping a hair tie around the pen and then adjusting it in the joy.
