Lies of P is my favorite Souls-likes not created by From Software. I really loved how Lies of P took inspiration from From's works such as Bloodborne, Sekiro and Dark Souls and merged them into this really thoughtfully constructed combat system that also manages to have its own identity among Souls-likes titles. While the thumbnail says "1st Playthrough", this is actually my first "completed" playthrough of Lies of P. I did originally play it back at launch a year ago and made it all the way to the 2nd Black Rabbit Brotherhood before falling off pretty hard. I'm not sure what compelled me to want to return, maybe it was all the recommendations from friends, maybe it was the fact despite not finishing, I did vibe well with Lies, maybe it was part of the grief process of losing my dog (Antonia's questline hit particularly close to home) or maybe I just wanted a taste of something other than Elden Ring. But in any case, this playthrough and Lies of P in general really was something special to me. Also, my favorite bosses in the run: 1. Romeo, King of Puppets 2. Scrapped Watchman 3. Nameless Puppet 4. Eldest of the Black Rabbit Brotherhood (Hot take: It was a good gank fight and frankly better than ALL of Elden Ring's duo fights) 5. Laxasia the Complete PS: Tag the section of the video that is a hint on the next Elden Ring showcase I'm dropping... If you can find it. ;)
Lies of P is the only souls like I haven’t played yet,it looks pretty promising and I’m planning on getting it next month,also,26th time mentioning the Erdtree Greatshield
@@Augmenti8323 I think you'll really like it. Combat feels very tight and fluid. Plus, while I didn't talk about it in this video, the weapon assembly system is REALLY cool. I also like that "boss weapons" can still be buffed and infused to a scaling of your liking.
This video is really making me jump back to lies of P How was ur overall experience after playing this game? How is the parry in this game compared to sekiro coz I remember I played the demo last year and finished the first two bosses but wasn't satisfied with parries Is there any upgrades to it and also to dodges? Also can u give me hints on what to upgrade in p-organs? This video was amazing from intro to the end and now I wanna play it too haha Any recommendations on early weapons and which stat to focus on?
@@SoulBlazeGaming You should give it a go, man. If not for content, just to enjoy it. It is really such a good Souls-like. So, to answer all questions: 1. Parrying does feel stricter in Lies of P. Like the window is noticeable tighter but I'm frankly fine with it. The perk to it is it lowers boss stance really quickly. And even if you don't parry and just block, you get the chance of regaining your health. There are upgrades to perfect parrying doing more stance damage and there is an upgrade on dodging to double dodge. I would definitely recommend the double dodge, every increase pulse cell upgrade, increasing stagger damage on charged heavy attacks. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the mechanics but all the ones I included in this video made Lies of P feel very good. As for early game weapons, I really like the Puppet Saber Handle's moveset. Running it with the Greatsword of Fate Blade makes a very hard hitting weapon. The Pipe Wench with the Krat Police Baton feels like the Iron Ball. And Trident of the Covenant rules.
@@CloudieX10 Yeah, the Trident of the Covenant high-key really slaps. It was probably my favorite weapon in this run and the one I felt the most consistent with.
Loved the showcase. And that intro... Music in Lies of P is... I swear, I tried to not cry!🥹😅 Congrats on finishing this amazing game for the first (and NOT last) time!😁
@@suchar7175 My man, Feel is just such a good song. Even though you don't get it from her, I feel like it really matches the relationship between P (Carlo) and Sophia. And thank you! This is definitely not the last time for either off channel or on. This video's numbers are hardly encouraging but I REALLY like Lies of P, frankly more than Bloodborne at this point. I'm currently playing through NG+ with Proof of Humanity and I also started a fresh data with a Motivity Build. I'm just not announcing any Lies of P plans officially since I'm confident I can beat most of the game again, but the biggest obstacle by far is a certain Sad Zealot.

That spear (don't know the name)has pretty good moveset.
I didn't use it but it has good charged attack
Well done ❤
