Its a weird experience having just started this game after all the balancing that was apparently done. Everything feels pretty good to me. I'm in a happy place. That said i feel like im going to run out of things to unlock pretty quickly
@@justintime5021 it feels like a new game in terms of balance that's forsure! Hopefully now that balance is in a good place content takes priority for the devs.
at 780hrs, and still finding it fun and engaging. I only play level 10, and do my usual 3 strategem to win, and 1 strategem by roulettte. WHich always keep things fun for me. Samples are super fast to collect. nothing is PTW. Whole game is fun af. Dive already.
The Jetpack buffs have also really made those builds utilizing it a lot more fun. If you have a squad with real friends you play regularly with, playing with a uniform loadout makes it a lot more fun too. A squad full of all Laser Weapons and Inflammable Armor, all Arc Throwers wearing Arc Armor and Arc Sentries, all Grenade Launchers with Supply Packs and Fortified Armor make those missions feel a lot more engaging. The videos I've watched with all Arc Throwers make it seem like a sequel to Ghostbusters with Space Marines
I just started a little while ago. I still have things to unlock. I can totally understand loosing interest when you run out of things to work toward. I can see that coming pretty fast. There needs to be more stuff to unlock. Thats the life blood of games like this. So while im totally hooked im also working towards goals still. If I didnt have that im not sure what would keep me playing.
@@justintime5021 Yeah when the game is fresh there is so much to do! My best advice is don't neglect samples because you need a ton! Other than that it's very Sandbox like in that you need to make your own fun!
Agreed @Justintime5021. I'm closing in at probably close to 400 hours of actual mission time and about level 110 or so right now. Maxed out all the Warbonds, Requisition Slips, Medals, etc. The dopamine has definitely lowered a bit lately after feeling there's nothing left to work towards earning. I can't modify my Helldiver's appearance outside of pre-set Helmet and Armor Options, there are no female skins to select from, there's not an endless horde mode for multiplayer, there is no prestige system in place to encourage starting fresh after leveling up all the way... The gameplay is a hell of a lot of fun especially after the big patch a few months ago, but it's definitely losing some of the appeal to keep playing other than trying new builds. I finally found a loadout that can let me finish Level 10 Automaton Missions with teams, and now the only issue I seem to have on those missions are if Orbital Bombardment is active from the Democratic Space Station. Having said all that, this is a Game-As-A-Service title, and they have been working diligently this year on making the game more fun and the new Warbonds are ok enough to warrant returning to check in every so often. There was a user who pointed out the Steam version of the game had a bunch of Illuminate files updated to the game code within the last week so we may be seeing new enemies soon. Right now the only things I would like from the game would be more color options to personalize my Helldiver, female skins, an option for saving loadouts, and a way to add weapon attachments.
After 60 days update it brought like 50% of players back. Its all because of new things. I, am afraid this game will die slowly because of his repeating nature. And i don't know how they really going to fix it. They can stretch it with new planets, enemies, weapons. but a storyline with a reason to earn something and be able to fully immerse yourself in the storyline. with short cutscenes and intriguing goals and missions. or a special loadout or a special weapon that you can earn in an impossible difficulty and that together with friends. something that challenges you to come back. a kind of co-op raid.
@@lunaticmickful I feel that! My hope is that now that the 60 day update is set the remaining dev focus is new content. There is a lot that can be done in this game to make it feel fresh. I bet in 6 months from now it will look like a very different game in terms of the amount of content available.
I think it’s natural to take breaks from games I think a lot of people me included took a break and now we’re back back to playing you can’t play the same game 247 365 many of my favorite games I’ll take a couple months off then start playing again that’s just how it goes
I guess that part got cut. The DCS is both the reason I stopped and reason I cameback. The gun feels so much better and I can finally live my marksman dream
why I stopped is the grind at end game was not very worth the time and effort. I stopped and then when I felt like I could come back. I played one game and now I really don't wanna play it lol. It feels to me like the game hasn't gotten any better. Also my brothers dont play it and they were the reason I played it.
@@jwilliams703 that is very similar to me. I felt there was no point in grinding and then I didn't want to play alone. I will say even when I tried to comeback the first couple of games were a bit of a drag. You really need to create your own fun in the game. I think a lot of the fun comes from people you play with. While I have always found kind/fun randoms I don't always want to be social with strangers so I understand the struggle!
Idk how anyone still plays this game. No new content, devs literally just cannot help themselves from releasing absolutely broken content without testing it. The glazers are in full force 😤
Gathering ultra rare samples is the most tedious thing on this game I absolutely hate it. Have to play the harder difficulty to get more of them, but everyone dies so much you can spend 3 hours and barely get 10. I love this game but my god you are spot on and there is so much they could fix and improve. Please fix and improve.
@@DaNDuBy I mostly play on 7 now because I can insure extraction with some rare sample. I feel like on 9+ people only care about super samples and I have too many of those already lol
Yeah, Level 9+10 Automaton missions usually result in very few samples collected due to all the lasers firing everywhere and no one wanting to go back to retrieve their stuff from their previous Helldiver.

Bug side: laser dog, quaser, 500kg, + roulette
Primary of choice is crossbow for bugs, plasma punisher for bots.
Secondary and grenade choice I rotate between several.

i always have plenty of super samples you barely need them compared to common and rare but yes they still need to fix some bugs
