    Your dogs are adorbs! 🐶🐕💜 My mom was a dog trainer, so all our dogs were extremely obedient ... until Hailey, LOL! 🤣 She's a black lab/shepherd mix rescue, and OMG, what a handful! It took 3 adults and 5 puppy training courses (we always do these as it helps to socialize them) to get her to calm down and listen. She always aced her puppy classes but at home she was a beast! She was in wild play mode nearly every waking moment!
    I went to some of her advanced classes, and two of the most important commands we were trying to nail were sit, sit, stay and come. This was for her own safety. One day, one of the puppies got out of her collar and started running for the busy road. Her owner yelled SIT, then STAY!, and she froze in her tracks and did so, saving her from a possible collision with a car. The other thing was when we told her to COME, we were to use a loud, low and authoritative voice, and to always say COME (not come here, come see mom, etc.). We all still do that and she ignores us until we do it right, lol.
    Another thing I've noticed with all my dogs is when they turn 7 or 8 they become defiant of their training, and sometimes a bit grouchy. If we have Hailey outside off leash (we are on a 3 acre lot at the end of a dirt road In the country) and the mail lady comes, she only obeys the sit stay until she opens her door, then it's as if she hasn't seen a human in years, lol. She jumps, licks, and sometimes tries to get into the car. Luckily our mail lady loves Hailey and all dogs.

    Haven't seen this product in Europe yet. I've used the hydrating one for a while, but it wasn't cleansing enough for my taste. Replaced it with SVR Topialyse Baume Lavant and I love it. It's a little thicker, more creamy than the Cerave and it takes a little more time to wash off (nothing drastic) - but it cleanses really well, doesn't dry my skin out and isn't irritating in any way. Have a great weekend and thank you for your content, I really enjoy it! xx

      I'm going to have to check that out, I've got a few SVR products and love them, especially their sunscreen cream, it's so amazing and light feeling. I agree with you on the cerave hydrating Cleanser, it's nice but doesn't clean enough.

    I have all 5 Cerave cleansers and so far, this has been my favorite. I primarily used the regular foaming cleanser but I reaaallly don’t like gel cleansers (texture thing for me). Hydrating cleanser felt like I was washing my face with lotion. This provided a nice balance of moisture for my 30s skin and foaming.
    Non-Cerave cleanser fave is the FAB Face Cleanser and this felt very similar.

  • @MyCrownstar
    @MyCrownstar 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Thank you for the review. I will definitely try this one. I have combo skin, and felt the hydrating one left a film that I couldn't get off easily and surprisingly I found the foaming a bit too drying. I really like Cerave as a brand. I hope Loreal don't mess them up. I remember the old PM lotion, it was better than the new. My fav cleanser is Fresh Soy cleanser

  • @jessicagalyon5840
    @jessicagalyon5840 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Funny how everyone’s skin reacts so dif to dif things! The hydrating one leaves film & clogs my pores. Foaming makes me sooo dry & itchy. I just got this one few days ago & love it so far. Been using vanicream for years but I think it’s too alkaline for my skin.
    Pretty sure this one doesn’t have niacinamide? My skin doesn’t tolerate that well & that might be why I like it so far. Feel like it cleans so well, but doesn’t take any of my natural oils. All cleansers say they won’t strip these days, but that isn’t true w my dry skin.
    I use habalado cleansing oil first & seems like a perfect combo

    I use the foaming cleanser (not the hydrating ones) as my second cleanse. I can't stress how much I love it. I have oily skin and it leaves my skin plump and hydrated. It also does a great job of removing my first cleanse balm. It struggles to remove heavy waterproof makeup but does remove my sunscreen and oil build up.

    The forming cleaner is my favourite. Tackles my oily zones just right and not had any dryness. If I get any minor breakout I use the salicylic acid cleanser at night.
    Tried the hydrating cleanser but due to me having oily areas it was feeling a bit too gentle and creamy for the type of cleanse my skin type requires.
    Now researching this blend cream to foam to gauge how it perform. I did wonder why S.A featured in the cleanser as that could be the drying element but probably give it a try.

      CeraVe does know how to formulate great cleansers, I will say that- for different times of the year and weather I've found that each CeraVe cleanser seems to work well depending on how dry my skin is. I've warmed up more to their new one, which at first I didn't love, but now it works nicely.

    Thank you for this review. Love your in depth methodical way of reviewing a product for each category. I love Cereve products but will probably stick with the hydrating one based on this review. I would enjoy a side by side review of all of their cleansers though. I’m older than you and have normal skin with a slightly oily T zone so I double cleanse using micellar water as my first step. It works well for me since I don’t wear much makeup. Again- great review.

    I didn't know they had this out. I am currently using Sisley Lyslait Cleansing Milk and it is worth the $123 dollars but I got it at Costco for $80. The BEST gentle cleanser on Earth. And since L'oreal bought Cerave. I have lost interest in the line. L'oreal will NEVER create drugstore brand that can negatively impact their Lancome and Skinceuticals brand.

      I couldn't agree with you more, Loreal has such control over so much in the skincare industry, and it is really unfortunate. The industry would be so much better without the Big 6 companies involved. They do a lot of research, but then they patent the heck out of everything! Makes me mad....

    I have just started using this cleanser because I use a lot of sunscreen during the day and I was not comfortable using the hydrating cleanser. I felt that I was not getting all the sunscreen off my face. My face feels a little tight after using it too. In the AM I use Cerave Hydrating cleanser, PM I use the Cerave SA Skin Renewing cleanser as the 2nd cleanse. This has worked just fine this summer, though when the turns cooler and drier I'll probably try this Foaming Hydrating one, so thanks for reviewing. Through my 30s and 40s I used the philosophy purity made simple, which I loved, but after they were bought the formula changed (again and again) and I just found the whole brand untrustworthy. So it's Cerave for now.

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Philosophy purity used to be a nice and gentle cleanser, but the current formula they are using is so drying. Philosophy introduces so many products every year and most of them I've found not to be great for sensitive or dry skin. It's a bummer because they could make some great products but unfortunately they don't.

      @@NOBSBeauty Agree! When they were on QVC back in the day, with the original owner, their products were skin changing for me. I use it, it's thick but sinks in well with a moisturizer type feel, not filmy like a waterproof spf. Stings the eyes really bad and is shiny. I notice it most on my neck and chest area where people are generally not dewy. Hasn't stained any of my white clothes. Makes my makeup slide around really bad. I wear the supergoop unseen sunscreen over the top and it makes makeup apply a lot better and stay put.

  • @moose8762
    @moose8762 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don't understand why they made this. Probably because L'Oreal acquired the company and they know the brand is popular at the moment. But really the only difference between this and the foaming cleanser is aesthetics. It makes sense to have a cream cleanser, foaming cleanser, and exfoliating cleanser... this doesn't make sense. They could have just reformulated the foaming one if they think this is better! I use the hydrating cleanser and find that effective after rubbing a random oil blend on my skin. Their products are actually slightly (or sometimes very) different in the UK. E.g. I don't like the cream in the tub because it dries really tight and uncomfortable on the skin

    • @chelsea8082
      @chelsea8082 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your comment made no sense. They made this for people who can’t tolerate the hydrating cleanser because it doesn’t thoroughly cleanse or the foaming cleanser because it’s too drying and strips the skin. There’s also a big difference between this one and the foaming one. This one is cream based and transitions to a foam once you activate it with water so it’s a 2-in-1. The foaming cleanser is gel based. Gel and cream cleansers are NOT the same. The cream-to-foam is also really great for those who have combination skin. There’s no reason for them to reformulate the foaming cleanser if they could just combine that one with the hydrating one, which they’ve done.

      Actually, I do! I think this new one would be great for oily skin, probably a bit better for oily skin than drier skin, to be honest. I think their Cleanser for normal- oily skin is a bit better for my dry skin. I do enjoy most cerave cleaners, this new one I'm going to keep and see how it works for me when the weather is really hot and humid, I have a feeling my skin will appreciate it much more then. On another note, I'm Working on the awards show, I've got some fun surprises coming, I can't wait for you to see it, I know you're going to love it this year!

      I ordered it Thursday! I can't wait for it to arrive so I can try it out. I really am enjoying the eye cream, the blurring primer is just okay, not much of a primer, more of a moisturizer.

    Skincare question... When you open a new product in a jar, do you keep the plastic lid liner that seals the top of the jar or throw it away?

    I have tried both the hydrating and the foaming cleansers and both tend to dry and irritate my skin. I recently switched to the makeup removing cleansing cloths and have seen a huge decrease in dryness, irritation, and redness. I'm curious what you think I should use to exfoliate my skin once in awhile and what you think about my experience with CeraVe.

    Would you say this is similar to the first aid beauty cleanser?

    • @NOBSBeauty
      @NOBSBeauty  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh I'll have to do a versus of the two! They are pretty similar in terms of the cleansing effects, both do a good job removing foundation and sunscreen but struggle a bit on eye makeup. The FAB I've found to be just a bit drying, but bit overwhelmingly so.

    Skin renewing cleanser actually contains only 0.5% salicylic acid despite the fact that salicylic acid is in the name of the product 😝😝😝 seriously if you're gonna put salicylic acid in the name at least put 2% in a rinse off product...
