She is one of the main reason why he has a lot of amazing videos. She is really dedicated to see him being a successful soccer player which is amazing to see. They complement each other very well💪
You bring a great point. I was looking at his soccer background and it is crazy to see all the great teams that he played for. He is a quality player and I believe that he deserves an MLS contract💪
What happened to Rubio? I remember he was doing great in Holland playing in the top flight against Ajax and such few years ago, thought he was a top propect and had a bright future. Felt the guy defo had the potential to make it into the top five leagues in Europe but now he's like mid 20s and without a contract? damn... Footballing world is so competitive I guess.
This was a wake up call for me. You watch for 30 seconds and you see the quality oozing out of each player. You see the accuracy and power of their shots, the precision of their touches and passes sand you go “Oh yeah, that’s a pro right there”
sharky H I know right that’s crazy. None of these players even play in their countries top flight. So maybe, that couldn’t mean that Jesse Lingard isn’t that bad of a footballer 🤔
So much to take away every time you train with other high level players/pros 🙌🏼 young players are lucky to be able to grow up watching these videos. Class as always!
Love the Intensity Matt! I take some of these drills and incorporate them into my training and It is incredible how much they can make you improve and keeps you sharp.
Thanks matt for the response your the goat also I have another question if that's fine QnA: what's your mentality on staying as a pro. A lot of youtubers are having this road to pro Was wondering what is it like mostly your mentality on staying and surviving in professional football
This is properly the best training video i watch from you, the qualities are just too good. If this video doesn't get over a million views people are missing out.
@@unknownbangbang1648 tbh the defender put his hands on his chest area first and then spiked his hands up towards his face. Regardless of it being a foul that’s a typical training day at pro level. If you’re gonna get mad at something like that then you definitely aren’t cut out for even semi level. That’s why the kid laughed it off and went at it again, he has a good attitude and strong mentality. Those are small key differences that makes a player better that scouts/managers like and look for. Go train South America, you’ll see first hand how physical they can get
Hi Matt! Thanks for taking the time to visit with me and my two young boys this morning. Really appreciate it! You were super generous and gracious with your time and I like that you were quick to complement your training partners. BTW, if I were in your shoes, I would have called foul play on that game of two touch. That last ball was a fair bit short, by my eye :-). Thank you!
Bro the fact that they’re not even in the mls says a lot about the professional level. Like I’m starting to doubt myself looking at this video (I’m a jr in hs). These guys are insane btw!
It's okay to doubt yourself.. But in football you will always meet better players literally everywhere... The most important is the willingness to learn and improve... You can have talent but if you don't work you will not make it... Good luck 🤞
Q&A: Hey Matt. I know one of your goals is to play in the MLS. However, do you believe that at this age in tour career, you will be able to accomplish that? Why? Thank you!
In my opinion, if he doesn't believe, than he shouldn't make it a goal, if that's Matt's goal than I think than he firmly believes or at least should believe in that
I believe that Matt will always try to play at the highest level that he can. He believes in himself and work so hard like players in the best leagues in the world. His work ethic is incredible and I believe that it is just a matter of time before he reaches a higher level than USL.
Had a video of yours pop up from 2 years ago, small group session similar to this, your intensity has improved massively, good to see you’re still improving! Excellent work 👏🏻
Futsal is great to develop as a soccer player when you are young. It helps to increase your speed of play since you have to play a lot quicker with the small side field. Also, you become better technically as we can see with a lot of bresilien soccer player. They all played futsal before and we can truly see a big impact on their technical abilities on the field✊
I have some great memories at this complex!!! My first game as a trialist for the U14 Whitecaps, playing against San Jose Earthquakes for the first time, playing the sounders and timbers. Awesome place! Love the videos Matt!
Crazy how there are so many elite players and only 1% out of them turn out to be World Class. That training group looks really good on the fundamental skill level. Sexy first tuch.
Q&A Question: How do you plan a individual training session? Do you write your plan down with specific drills? Do you have a vague idea of what drills you’ll do or do you do something different? Would love to know as I have been having trouble making my own training sessions lately.
When he has partner trainings, he always ask to his partners what they want to work on or improve and then he puts the drills together. From watching his videos in the past, he doesn’t plan the drills in advance, he goes more with the flow.
Q&A Do you have any advice for a player who has had multiple major injuries in the same year and is trying to get back to in shape and to their full capacity both physically and mentally but at the same time not over do it and get hurt again?
Go step by step and don’t try to comeback to fast. Trust the process and listen to your body to make sure you don’t get injured again. Start with easy drills and then increase the difficulty and add partners after when you feel ready. It is really important not to skip any steps💪
Thanks for this kind of content wish we could have similar fields like this in South Africa but thank you for this video motivates us and gives us hope and courage
Hey man! Love the content. Huge fan of the sport. Haven’t really played since highschool 8 years ago. Getting back into the sport just for fun and exercise. Can you do a video or a tik tok or something on some good drills/workouts to get back to my fundamentals? I think there is probably a ton of guys and gals who could find this useful! Thanks again
Matt, Quick question about that 3v3 +1 you played @12:33. Do you switch sides after each goal? That looks like a wicked fun game to play when we have odd numbers at pickup. Thanks for your content! Hope y'all have an Amazing Christmas!
Q&A: I was wondering how difficult is it to transfer from a small d1 school to a big d1 school. I’m considering going to a small d1 school that lets me play right off the bat, and then transitioning to a bigger one so I could play more competitive soccer while also presuming I wouldn’t have to sit as much as you traditionally would as an underclassmen.
The player from England would be and honour if you could get in touch with me and explain the expectations in England adapting to the weather and anymore info on what to expect
Q&A: How do you know when to take breaks? It's not good to train like 3 hours everyday. So it's obviously all about knowing your body, but do you have any other tips?
He listens to his body. Sometimes, he adjust his trainings when he feels to tired. He decreases the number of repetition to prevent injuries. The main goal is to learn and know how to treat your body. I suggest you taking one day off per week.
Every player has the same process. Gks are naturally less worth than outfield players but that wont make the paycheck any different for them. Maybe a little bit but still if youre a pro gk u can easely make a living out of it.

Q/A, should i have certain days for certain drill like monday crossing passing dribbling and so on and so forth and if so can u maybe show like how you would set something like that up
I believe that in every session you should work on different aspects on your game that you have to improve on and to perfect. You should mix crossing, passing and dribbling because you need everything in a game, so why not working on all of them in a session💪
QNA: explain when you are OVERWORKED. And how to prevent yourself from getting it even though you want to train everyday to get better? Love the videos by the why keep up the good work.
