Axel H and he's only in the MLS. Imagine the difference between the MLS and a league like Ligue 1 (which is a farmers league), and then compare that to the premier league lmao. There's levels

I can watch this video 1000s of times. Everything is so smooth, you can tell everyone is at a professional level and you get so much information just by watching the players, but it's also so "grounded" in a sense compared to watching a premier league team train, like you think it's actually possible to reach this level one day.

bro I had no idea how outrageously good these dudes were until I saw a Timbers vs Sounders game from a few feet away. they were playing each other in the Open Cup at on a smallish field with a beer garden behind one of the goals to it so you didn't have to pay a bunch of money to get up close. I couldn't believe how little time they had and how deft they were at controlling fast passes at their shins

Rubio Rubin was one of the best American prospects back then, he just kinda fell off. Many were expecting him to go to Europe back then.
He played in Holland for a couple years and was a promising prospect but came back and had a few stints in Mexico and now plays in the mls

The video should be about training with him in a tight space with different ball mastery drills, because I and my partner always train at the back of our house since we can't go anywhere due to the lockdown but we sometimes don't know what drills to do next. Great drills. I’ll definitely use them. As a GK coach as well, you should tell your GK on the video he’ll get beaten a lot on his far post as he’s not centred in the goal. Check out how many times he gets beat at far post. “Ball, you, middle of the goal” 👍🏻👊🏻

Q&A: What is our opinion on the MLS Super Draft, and did you try to enter it. Love the Vids!!!!!
The draft is better and better every year since the amount of talented players increased a lot in the US. The visibility expanded also which is great for the soccer in North America. I don’t think that he ever declared for the draft.
In the side foot shooting drill you can see that rubin shots are mostly low, he does not look for top bins. He either placds it in the far corner or doing a reverse and going near post if keeper is off guard

Hey #mattsheldon #Becomelite I can tell that ur really dedicated in your work and the players that you practice with. Hopefully these players can give a good word for you. I have to say they each day I am improving in so many things like ball control and aerial passes. If you didnt make game analysts videos I would be in such a low level, but thanks to u I got to a higher level. If u read this comment we all understand how Matt has improved and we know that this is still the beginning of his soccer career. #don’t stop and defense wins games.
Q&A: would you still vlog and build become elite if you were a bench-warmer and/or didnt have much of a game-time in your team? what to do if we are in this situation?
For the younger players, really watch the one on ones. There are great notes to take away from it. Rubio makes one move to either side, create a yard or less of space, and then fire a shot. This is a great example for players who say they don't have room to shoot and keep doing skill moves until they are literally on the goal line. Create space and shoot a good example is 15:20, Matt has no space to really go forward so he backs up creates space down the other sideline, and shoots once he has created it. He doesn't even look at the goal because of his spatial awareness of where he is at on the field.

Hi Matt, I was wondering if you could explain how to train for the long term. Im a player who usually does high reps when it comes to muscle endurance training, sprints for explosiveness and some weight training to strengthen my legs. But I wanted to hear it from a Pro, someone who is older and has more experience than me about this type of training

Rubios good but anyone else notice he only has one move? Andres Iniesta’s la croqueta. And he relied heavily on his right foot in those one on ones. Always tried to bring it to that side, no real attempt with left foot. Great player tho
Sometimes all you need is one move, but you are right, he should try to use his left more.
@@nicolascolorado3764 yeah I know some people are known for one move such as iniesta for la croqueta and Aidan McGeady for the McGeady spin and Cruyff for the Cruyff turn. However at the MLS level, there’s more analysis and study of the opposition so being that predictable gives the opposition an advantage. I picked up after the 2nd time he did it that he always does that move and I think any good defender would be able to stop him.
@@Donalliverpool1 Messi only uses body fuints and la croqueta and not many defenders can stop him, you can be predictable and still unstoppable.
