    wow im surprised how much anthony's biggest regret relates to me. I tend to train between 5-6 days a week, couple hours each day and i focus on things like ball mastery, dribbling, tight space stuff, etc., and i dont really pay attention to doing exercise (although i've always been very fit) or being fast (the only times i focus on running is when i am improving my endurance, but i never focus on speed). I think i'm going to start paying attention to those weaknesses more now.

    Q and A. How do you deal with injuries? I've been getting injured for the past couple of weeks, and it is killing me. It's not those serious injuries like ACL tears; it's the minor groin strains and calf strains. I know you have to rest and build up slowly, but what is your mindset when injured? I tend to get frustrated and annoyed, wishing I can be out on the field to get better. How can I change that? Thanks.

      I would suggest analysing you game, figuring out what your strengths are, what your weaknesses are and focus at least 60% of your individual training sessions on improving your weaknesses and the rest on making your strengths into "super strengths". I believe that with his journey, it was more difficult to reach out the pro level because he tried abroad in 7 different places and was not kept. He really had to work hard and remain positive because he was denied a lot. However, now he is set in the USL and really earned his spot in the great full back of the league:)

    • @The1Percent
      @The1Percent 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HI mate, it is important to remember that every player is different and an improvement point that may help one person won't necicerily help another one. I would suggest analysing you game, figuring out what your strengths are, what your weaknesses are and focus at least 60% of your individual training sessions on improving your weaknesses and the rest on making your strengths into "super strengths". However there is one thing all player can improve and that is their mentality, learning to maximise your confidence, or staying positive. I would say that the increasing of the visibly and level of the MLS has a big impact on the academy players of the MLS academy. They are in better hands than before with staff, facilities and knowledge of the game. There are much more talents in the US today than 4-5 years ago.
