Hank(and John) Green is this generation's Bill Nye
And beyond. Remember they touch about 8x the subject material Bill Nye ever did over MULTIPLE subject disciplines, not just science
Now that somebody says it... yeah, that seems about right
@@TheJgrimmIn all fairness, Bill Nye was played on Disney Channel and intended for kids
Every generation has those kind tv educators that are just universally loved and in glad that Hank and John are those people for our generation. Mr. Rogers, Carl Sagan, Bill Nye, Hank Green, John Green
That's an insult to Crash Course.
crash course is great bc something about it was so bearable to watch in class, when other educational videos are either boring or condescending. i watched crash course in my free time (cause i was a vlogbrothers fan and also nerd) but i think teachers realized that everybody preferred listening to hank and john explain concepts over basically anyone else😅
A world treasure.
"Teacher" should be the most respected profession.
It isn't because most of them are burnt out wanna be moms who just come for a pay check.
Im a mid thirties male veteran, I did not watch any of Hank Greens videos in school. However I have watched his videos on my own and I am glad that the videos are being used for furthering education, mine and my sons included.
what does the veteran part have to do with it
@@Kelly_C I think it implies that he didn’t pursue further education and may have joined right out of high school. This would mean he didn’t have much need for watching their content other than personal interest, which is great cause it shows how powerful the Greens’ content has been!
@@yikes2540 That's wonderful deductive reasoning, it's a shame others don't take the time to think before they speak, or type in this case.
I’m also mid thirties and I’m thinking I’d need to watch some videos to refresh my knowledge!
Same I love themmmm
Yes Crash Course has literally revolutionized education and paved the way for a flood of other educators to create content that can be used by all. For someone who doesn't learn by reading because I am dyslexic but is more of a visual learner your content has been everything for balancing out the content I make so that all learning types that use my content are included. I am 44 and make content for other homeschoolers and the charter my son goes to.
For my son it has taken him from an elementary student who graduated today who hated school, literally hated it, thought he couldn't learn, something was wrong with him (there wasn't he just isn't a traditional book learner), to one who loves school and watches TH-cam educational videos for fun now including entire courses. He gets so excited when Kurzgesagt and How to ADHD comes out with a new video and has even found creators I didn't know about to teach himself things he wants to know like identifying all the flags of major countries. It very much is making him into a life time learner who loves to learn and can't get enough. Thank you for creating this revolution and continuing to innovate this field for ALL learners.
Kurzgesagt and many other educational youtubers have also admitted that they were originally inspired by Crash Course. Crash Course is amazing in and of itself but it also helped create an entire genre of educational youtube videos.
I was taking a college A&P class when that series was coming out and it helped me pass the final. Thank you.
That's exactly which of their videos I'm currently using to homeschool my 13 year old granddaughter; Anatomy and Physiology
What's crazy to me is that I watched CC for fun and these kids are getting it brought to their classes like we used to get Bill Nye 😂
My Anatomy and physiology class used it as an intro for every unit and to review before the final
Same!
I crammed this week for my quiz on the Nervous System, and I got a 12/15 after knowing NOTHING previously 😭 thank you Hank. I'm gonna start doing this for every chapter too. I also like Professor Dave's videos if I'm short on time LOL
@@Grace-px5ckI'm using it to homeschool my 23 year old granddaughter. We take alot of notes.
Not just in America, his videos inspired me to pursue biology as my college degree.
Hank's smile when the host is telling him the impact of Crash Course on his education is beautiful. ❤ He's just beaming. 😊
I worked as an instructional aid in sped classrooms for 6 years. I have used CC when students had difficulty on a subject. It was a fun and more relaxed way for them to reinforce knowledge they may have forgotten or missed.
I wish hank all the best in his long road ahead 🙏 I know he will beat this! We are all thinking of ya hank! Good luck brother.
And Canada too. Absolutely love the delivery of information for my students and the discussions we have after. Very approachable. ❤
I work with students learning English and these are such a great resource. Subtitles, illustrations, replay, slow down, pause: all tools a student needs to analyze and participate at their level, rather than always struggling with the language part. Thank you!!!
not just in america, I knew hank coz of my Philosophy class
i’m in biomedicine in uni right now, have yet to interact with hanks side of crash course though. johns literature crash course helped me so much in high school!
He fully got me through my first year of studying chemistry
He got me through my nursing course here in Australia
Crash Course saved me in my AP Government. And I've been using their videos to help some people in my history class.
Not just schools. I am 57 and I watch it every day - (philosophy and psychology). It's so informing and entertaining.
SciShow accounted for around 25% of the grade in my High School biology class as a freshman.
I love Hank all throughout nursing school. It got me through A&P 1 and 2 😅 and other classes. I still listen today. Thank you, Hank! I've been a nurse for 5 yrs now.
Hank you got me into grad school. Sending you blessings
And homeschoolers! Such an amazing tool for all types of educators and learners.
Crash course was basically my teacher 💀 my teacher used the videos as an intro to the new topic before diving deeper
We love you get better ❤️
I have my Bachelor's in Biomedical Science because of you, Hank. Thank you for everything.
I luv these brothers the most ❤ hank and john are truly amazing they're truly inspiring ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!! Your content is incredibly utilized and we are so grateful!🙏❤️
I went through highschool (homeschool) watching CrashCourse videos. When I spent a year teaching fifth grade and the school didn't provide science curriculum, I leaned so heavily on CrashCourse and SciShow to help illustrate the concepts I was teaching. It was a really overwhelming and stressful year, and CrashCourse made it a little easier.
I recommended Hank and John crash courses to my students. We are a remote school-at-home program. When I taught traditional classes, I showed CC videos every chance I got. Thank you, Hank!
I have been a teacher for almost 18 years and the Green brother have been part of a lot of my History and Science classes. Thanks a lot!!❤
I'm in Egypt, I teach in university and we use the videos here too! It's a huge help to me as a student and as an instructor. Thank you so much for making learning easier and way more fun. ❤
I showed Crash Course videos in my college physics and astronomy classes, especially astronomy. They are very good supplemental resources that attractively pack so much insight and information into relatively short videos. Thank you for making them. I also enjoy watching them on my own from many different subjects.
I'm in nursing school and it Crash Courses helped me out through A&P I & II so much. Every single person I run across going through A&P or getting into the medical field I sell them a whole pitch to if nothing else let it pour over them so it's not foreign when they get there. It's amazing, one of, if not, the BEST tools I've had access too. Thank you so much Mr. Green!!!
Crash course was my go to in 14/15 for organic chemistry and that knowledge is foundational to my professional practice now.
Crash Course Astronomy really got me into science! I watched an astronomy documentary when I was 7 years old that really inspired me and made me so curious about this stuff, but sadly astronomy and really most of science was not really available where I grew up, so crash course was my window into that world that I could not have had otherwise.
Hank and John green and crew deserve a massive thank you for all of what they have done and contributed to students and teachers around the country and even world. Their videos have genuinely saved my ass so many times. I also want to thank my own high school teachers to introducing me and my classmates to crash course. I just found out my friend who didn’t go to the same high school as me didn’t even know what crash course was. I definitely sent CC his way. I’m hoping he receives the same benefit I had from watching them too.
Crash course is still usable to me and so comforting even at times, just a masterpiece! Thank you Hank for your bad jokes and enthusiasm, thank you for crash course
People who provide free videos and resources to students are such a blessing. I heavily utilized crash course, amoeba sisters, math antics, etc from elementary school now into university.
My professor for anatomy and physiology has your videos up on the site we use to study and watch her lectures. But I've been watching you for years
Genuinely my dream to get to talk to Hank one day. Those brothers have filled my life with so much joy for years
Truly. I was in South African high school watching crash course❤❤❤ Love Hank Green
Crash course was my gateway to watching college lectures on TH-cam. It was fascinating learning that inspired me to want to learn more without all of the anxiety of having to be in a formal classroom setting.
hey, freshman in highschool here, i absolutely adore john and hank’s videos, its genuinely the only way I retain the information because you guys actually make it FUNNY and easy to listen too. I Struggled in history a lot before but now I have all A’s with world history being one of my highest. Thank you so so so much, I’m forever in y’all’s debt 🙇
Absolutely, Crash Course has been such a big teacher to me and Hank especially is also just a big inspiration to me.
Every science class & when they didn’t they have them as a resource or I used them to learn, because they were just as helpful as many teachers. Forever grateful to crash course.
You and your brother are amazing keep it up Hank! You're a good example of how useful the internet is
I Never watched them THAT often growing up, other than in history, but I know their videos have always been a way for me to review and study on my own at home and I will be forever grateful!
Homeschooling mom here. I love these! They are so helpful😊. My 3 children enjoy these videos so much!
I homeschooled my son and we watched Crash Course videos. They were fun and packed with great information. I just recommended the US History Crash Course to a college student to prepare for a proficiency exam.
I used crash course philosophy to get through all my philosophy classes, it was a much easier subject to digets when using this as a backdrop
I use Hank’s videos in the philosophy classes that I teach! Crash Course philosophy was one of the things that inspired me to start making educational content on TH-cam-Thanks, Hank! 😃
Wish you all the BEST Hank ☺️☺️🥲
Watching the world history crash course right now with my brother while i help tutor him. Its mind boggling how much these videos have helped me as a student and is passing onto someone ten years younger than me
hey hank, on the off chance you ever see this, im indian! ive watched a lot of cc and even though the bio course did not perfectly match up with my coursework, it made the subject so interesting to me. i loved the world history, philosophy, computer science and chemistry crash course videos too! thank you so so much
I watch them for fun. The most education I've ever received.
Hank helped me learn and love philosophy! Thank you Hank!!!!!!!
Thankfully, both of the Green brothers were born with an excess of curiosity. It's influenced (and benefitted) countless people who also have a bit of curiosity.
I think i would cry if i met either of the green brothers. Prayers up man :(
I will still watch crash course to this day if I’m curious about a topic. And if I like the crash course videos I’ll end up diving in fully. This dude knows how to make things interesting
Hell yeah 😂 Hank and John got me through high school and college!!!!
You have probably a phantom of an idea just how far your videos had reached. You helped tons of my students and I go through some subjects/programs we've tackled, and no, I'm not in the same continent you are in. 😁
Trust me it's not just America, its literally used here in South Asia and for my then 12 year old self I was so so lucky to have come across it and realising like omg there's so much knowledge and I'm getting it for free. Bless you green kings
Been a vlogbrothers fan since year 1, now in my 30s going back to school, and Crash Course A&P is so helpful
My ringtone has been the Crash Course theme for years
This guy has saved so many lives
Wish I Had CC, or Twosetviolin when I was in school... love watching them regardless
Crash course got me through college Biology after being out of school for many, many years.
It's part of my curriculum in Ashland University in Ohio, he makes learning beyond fun! So hilarious! Never thought I'd be so happy during classes! Have to watch every single one in between semesters!
I love CrashCourse. Never had them in school (too old) but I binge them now. Thanks guys.
Such an influential part of my middle/high school years. 🖤 specifically science.
They were a little past my time in school, but I have always loved vlog brothers and have enjoyed so many crash courses. I’m watch the anatomy one now to get a better understanding of my body. I went through some rough medical issues and I’m still so young. I want the language to be able to better explain what’s going on to doctors. I know it’s a lot but the online series is incredible and free. These two do feel like the changed the world.
When I wore my Crash Course t-shirt to a family/friends gathering that contained several teenagers, two of them complimented me on it and told me how much they love Crash Course.
You the best ,you design hard stuff and make them easy to learn and understand ,in 2 days I was able to understand the heart and then I cant forget it thanks
You helped me pass chemistry Hank thanks.
Thank you Hank and John!!
Every day in anatomy we'd watch crash course. Same with AP US history and government. The Green brothers and all the folks at Crash Course raised a generation.
Beating cancer will be the third best thing he's ever done. Don't worry Hank. You got this man. ✊
Im a homeschool mom and we LOVE crash course! Every topic we study i look for a crash course to go with it
man i’ve watched crash course all of highschool and even still to this day! they honestly make learning fun!
Can you imagine being his son? Love this guy
i was in my early 30s when i started watching crash course, because it didn't exist before then, and neither did youtube. when my kids saw me watching they were all like, no way! we saw this in school, and i was like, good, i think i like your teacher. complex subjects are broken down in detail step by step and explained in clear, simple terms, serious topics are present with the called for gravity. where doubt exists opposing viewpoints are explored, armed with requisite knowledgethe viewer is invited to question and explore further, and it stays fun while doing all that, while never being condescending. this is one of the best things on, or that ever has been on, the whole in'net. i hold the greens in the highest esteem for their continuing work online, and in john's case, in the trenches of america's libraries. i'm rewatching the chemistry series now
I love crash course. As a teacher, it is so helpful!
I'm 24 and watch for fun! Haha I love it, thank you very much🥰
I barely remember lessons from middle school or high school except when we watched crash course!! Saw more of hank and john than any kind of youtube at school and more than bill nye or the astronomy tape videos!! So freaking glad they make the stuff they do
The CC Chemistry videos got me into uni and now I supplement my tutoring with linking to those same videos.
Hank and John are so incredible. The new Bill Nye
Hank is one of the few reason I’m passing my A&P classes
Yes my college A&P class and even my Psychology class uses Crash Courses. I love the videos.
I appreciate your videos. They have helped me understand my body
Crash course astronomy with bad astronomer got me into science and now I've learned so much about physics.
I have two degrees with honors thanks to the videos made by Hank and his team
I use it in my middle school science classroom - thank you so much for doing it!! 😊❤
In highschool I didn't know of Hank or John green I just thought of them as the guys who taught me biology and history. But looking back I remember seeing a "fault in our stars" poster in my biology teachers classroom and now I realize he was definitely a nerdfighter.
I’m currently adding it to my teenager’s homeschool curriculum as just bonus material!
😢❤🫶🏾🫶🏾 we appreciate you!!
It has helped me multiple times over to get through uni!!!!
I was literally the best in my physics and chemistry classes just cause of your Hank's crash courses
I’ve never been shown it in class, but you’re dang right I watch them to study
