Nice "ride-demo"! Good explanation of the features on the bike! I'm 58 years young and looking to get my first motorcycle, I think the Road-King model will be a very good choice to start on. I'm 5"9' and 285lbs. I think the Road-King model will be able to "schlep" my "Tex-ass" sized "back porch" with no problem! Hopefully I can find one in the mid-night crimson red! Thanks for your review!🏍️👍🐻🧸🤓 Doug
Beautiful bike!! I love the original road kings, big mistake by harley for discontinuing them, I recon harley will lose a lot of customers because of that.
I got a 15" Memphis Shades windshield for my Road King...it's the perfect size...easy to see straight over the top, deflects wind & debris at just the right angle & being that short & chopped off looking, looks outlaw af too...& you can get a color fade on the bottom to match the bike, which makes it look even more awesome...stock shields suck, need a shorter shield...they actually work better...I'm 5' 9", btw...those damn windshield charts manufacturers make are very misleading...shorter is actually better...
I have the 09 RK classic and the specs say it has a 6 gallon tank but mine only had a 5 gsallon tank. People did not believe me, even the dealership but that's what I have. I t used to tick me off b/c as we took long trips (Sturgis, Daytona, Gettysburg) all the fellow bikes used me as the fuel pit-stop guy b/c they had 6 gallon tanks and could go another 150 miles before needing fuel. I do wish I could get a new HD stock 6 gallon fuel tank, I'd do it.
That extra gallon sure can make a difference! Reach out to our parts department and see what it would take to get a 6 gallon tank! www.tobaccoroadhd.com/
I’m 5”6 and around 180 pounds, and I’m a little past intermediate rider,. I’ve always road off and on a 650 VStar,.. what’s your thoughts on me moving up to a Road King,..
I'd say do what makes you happy! I've seen lots of shorter folks ride lifted baggers. They had to adjust their style but they could make it work. Stop by sometime and we'd be happy to get you on a touring bike to see if you're comfortable with it!
I'm 5'5" @ 165lbs. I considered the road King but I didn't fit it well. I test road a 2022 low rider st and a 2022 road glide special. I can almost flat foot the road glide with my riding boots. I bought the road glide. I'm coming from a 2002 Sportster.
You could do it easily. Just take it slow and once you’re comfortable, a couple days, you’ll be good to go. Might have to get a narrower seat say from Saddleman to make your feet planting more comfortable.
This guy needs another $10,000 to make it perfect…… bought it, 3 years later, various comfort mods including full legend suspension, handle bars, seat, etc. etc….. now it’s a long distance Cadillac….. for my wife and I😊 this was the last year that “tire sidewall” was included with your purchase…. Then H-D in their infinite wisdom went lo-pro tires…. Ridiculous.
Looks like the framework to easily add filler lights. Many people remove the tail light assembly and install new brake lights in-between the fender and bags.
I got that exact bike and love it! Mods: LED'S, seat, bars. Air intake, cam, headers, pipes, rides and sounds amazing, love my King!
Get one .Ride it. Then ride it some more. Best modification is to roll the odometer numbers bigger and wear the tires smaller...
I like how you ride, just cruising, to me that’s what it’s about ❤️

Best model the Harley makes. Did you get one?

The Road King Special is still rollin' hard in 2024!

Nice bike, nice review 👍
My next bike, I love it
Color is awesome.
What’s with the 2 open slots in the back?
