I agree on the 'Han should not be former Empire' point. As much as I love that fact in Legends, there are so many main (or well known) characters (Sabine, Finn, Wedge, Iden, etc.) in the new canon who defected from the Empire, that having Han do the same might feel repetitive
Can I just say that the scene with the remainder of the Resistance escaping on the Falcon is very reminiscent of the final scene of Rebels season 3. The remnants of Phoenix Squadron leave Atollon and are preparing to join the larger rebellion at Yavin. Many survivors of the battle are taking refuge inside the Ghost. Kanan and Ezra have a nice moment where Kanan says, “There’s a future for us. One where we’re free. But it’s up to us to make it happen.” It among the best scenes of the entire show and I recommend everyone check it out. The episode is called Zero Hour.
Not in the fight (which was awesome, they deliberately had most of the guards handle Kylo) But they both when force pulling the saber match powers. I'm no sequel hater, just look at my profile pic but I'm interested in Star Wars Explained's opinion on the matter.

Why in the Clone Wars do the Jedi wear battle armor yet in Revenge of the Sith it is absent? (Aside from the obvious out of universe reason that TCW was produced after ROTS)
The real reason is probably out-of-universe, as well. Cloth is way harder and time-consuming to get right in 3D animation. Putting armor on joints like elbows and shoulders is way less risky that hoping a sleeve bends correctly at that joint. If you notice, as the animation team got more experience and man power in the later seasons, the Jedi begin to ditch the armor and begin to wear their tunics similar to the movies. And in even _later_ episodes, we see more of them wearing their full cloaks in action scenes. There are a lot of interesting behind-the-scenes featurettes and commentaries on TH-cam with Dave Filoni and the rest of the crew that go into decisions like this.
Perhaps the Jedi began to revert back to full robes in the latter parts of the clone wars in order to help their public image. Look less like battle generals and more like Jedi peacekeepers.
I can only speculate, but I'd say 1) To try and help PR, since their public image was... not great in the later years, often being seen as warmongers, and they probably thought that losing the battle armor would literally make them look better in the eyes of the citizens. 2) They probably just didn't need it that much: The Eta-2 Jedi Starfighters are actually kinda crappy, having been stripped down considerably, having no shields, very little armoring, etc. because the Jedi who piloted them preferred speed, agility, and mobility in their fighters (The Eta-2 was designed by Sienar Fleet Systems, the same people behind the TIE Fighter line, and the standard TIE Fighter is actually superior to the Eta-2 on a purely technical standpoint). I would imagine that they were the same way on foot, taking off their armor in favor of better mobility.
I feel you on the being sick, man. I've been sick since mid-December too, and it sucks. I hope you start feeling better, and thank you for doing the work that you've done while you've been sick. o7
Do you think that the Knights of Ren are the new Dark Side order with the Sith gone? They seem to have the title of "Ren" in their names, with Kylo having it in his name, and we weren't told of Snoke was a specific believer in something, just a powerful Force user in the Dark Side.
How does Luke just disconnect himself from the force and then reconnect himself and use some crazy force power like force projection at the end of TLJ?
Resistance Chris Good question but I guess that, Luke being so powerful as he was, he could recover the state of his connection to the Force instantaneously or maybe with some time of meditation (there is a decent amount of time since Rey leaves Ach-To and the battle of Crait after all)
I doubt Luke actually “cut” himself from the force. I assumed it as more or less he just repressed the force and refused to use it for anything, as he was still able to instinctively blow apart the hut that rey and kylo were in before the scene where he “reconnects” with it.
He cut himself off from the Force so Snoke and Kylo couldn't sense him or any other threat capable of the Force, but he tapped back into it when he went on the edge of the cliff at night and he wakes up Leia, just before Rey goes into the Dark Side Water cave
Do yo suspect Rey will wield a double blade lightsaber in X9. The crystal in Luke sabre is split in two (you can see when she talks to Leia). Additionally, while the crystal is split in two I feel the blades would be stable as if it is a clean cut, the resulting crystals will have no cracks/fissures like Kylos does.
itz DRod It was split in half when Rey and Kylo pulled on it (look up screen shots). When Rey is talking to Leia on the falcon at the end she is holding both ends of the broken hilt; you can visible see a piece of crystal sticking out of each end. Thus, that would give two crystals for a double lightsaber/ dual lightsabers.
Would you change anything about how Luke died, I personally would have had him use everything he had to repulse and do some serious damage to the the first order walkers.
I think it is to fake people out that Chewie picked up Luke and brought him to Crait. But otherwise I think he didn't want to risk the Falcon being destroyed.
yeah, that's how i see it, a symbolic gesture of sorts. the "fallen jedi" is meant to be someone the sith or darksider in question has personally slain which fits with the whole "i destroyed ben solo" aesthetic that kylo repeatedly tries and fails to project as can be seen in the inherent instability of the blade
I see C-3PO and R2-D2 as the custodians of history of Star Wars, seeing how they were involved one way or another throughout the film franchise. Do you think we will see them in Rian Johnson's trilogy too?
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy The 2008 clone wars series is canon, and many of it characters and storylines was put into other stuff like rebels and literature media.
I think he was asking if you couldn't see a Force Ghost if you weren't strong with the Force. For instance, the very first time we see a Force Ghost, Han Solo is there, and he shows no signs of ever seeing Obi-Wan's ghost.
"Time it is. For YOU to look past a pile of old books," Yoda never said it was time for the jedi to end, Yoda was simply saying that the texts aren't that important but Jedi principals that are.
Snoke was enjoying watching the Resistance slowly die, he cackles about them being tied to the end of a string. Snoke shows his arrogance repeatedly from mocking Hux while in ear shot, to telling Kylo that he has been manipulating him the whole time, and with not destroying the Resistance right away
Do you think we'll see the Supremacy again? Holdo's last ditch hyperspace maneuver was very effective at disabling the Supremacy but we explicitly see it blow up, not only that but the ship itself is massive. Could it be possible for the First Order to repair what seems like their biggest asset?
Who, in your opinion, is the better Imperial Special Forces Squad; Inferno Squad or Scar Squad? Or, is there another squad from Legends or Canon who are more skilled?
Quick technical note on Ren's saber design: whether or not it was built from his prior saber, they've taken steps in canon to link its design to a history, even if this is one of those cases where something cool is done in animation that doesn't need to be acknowledged in live action. But we remember that the finale of Rebels season 2 showed saber hilts with these vented crossbar designs in the ruins of Malachor. Hidalgo goes on to mention this connection in relation to Ren's saber design in the Visual Dictionary for TFA, unless I'm mistaken. But I don't have it in front of me.
On the topic of using the force mid lightsaber fight, it was explained in the Darth Bane books (I think) that both opponents would put up a "force shield" practically blocking any offensive force powers (unless the shield was broken) Don't take my word for granted tho
I don't think "The Supremacy" can be considered destroyed after this. I imagine thousands and thousands of FO tugboats pulling the ship and the broken wing to the nearest ship repair yard like Kuat-Entralla Engineering and will be completely repaired by Episode 9 for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren.
Teemo4Life Rian Johnson ran the idea of hyperspace ramming across the story group according to the Star Wars show. They confirmed it's possibility. Something similar also happened on Rebels. It's been established. And if you're referring to lore as it was presented in legends, just stop. Canon is a different beast altogether.
Angry Joe is someone who I personalty, could not care about since he does nothing but scream at a computer all day at everything like he has coprolalia. And I prefer to watch someone like Alex who does his reviews in a positive manner.
In Empire, when Luke was leaving to save Leia and the others, Obi-Wan referred to him as the last hope but Yoda corrected him by saying there was another. That was referring to Leia, of course. But Obi-Wan knew that Luke had a sister. He almost definitely knew it was Leia. So why didn’t he consider her as being another shot at taking down Vader and Sideous? Or at least as another force sensitive person to be able to train?
I didn't really know that those Kyber Crystal were used in the creation of a lightsaber, and I am a Star Wars fan!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's my belief that the dark side energy sensed by Sheev was not Snoke but that Snoke had found this immense power himself, that he's been learning and absorbing it's energy, hence his great power. Time may be distorted outside the known galaxy so it could explain how he lived so long, or perhaps its some sort of dark side world, similar to Mortus. Food for thought :)
Alex here is a question for Q&A. In ANH how does Vader track the Tantive IV to Tatooine if hyperspace tracking wasn't developed until the events of TLJ?
Do you think both of Luke's Jedi Order in Canon and Legends are similar? After watching The Last Jedi I started to see similarities between the two. Like philosophies, ideas, their view on the Old Jedi Order, and other things.
Lockjaw/Mutant Boy The new Canon hasn't even gone into depth about it yet. How do we know that almost everything Fact Free/The Lore Master and The Scoundrels Cantina showed in there videos didn't happen in the 30 year gap. Now that the film has been released. Writers and the Lucasfilm Story Group can start writing more novels and comics to bring more legends content back into the EU of the new canon.
Lockjaw 1) I don't care about being called a Disney shill or fanboy as it's not offending. 2) Lucasfilm dose not steal from something they own, they reuse it. And it's not Disney that writes the films. 3) Alex dose not work for Disney or Lucasfilm, he is an independent TH-camr that has his own opinion 4) There are 2 EU's, 1 is for canon outside the films and 2nd is the legends content outside the films when that was canon. 5) I like both the canon and Legends EU, I like many of the stories that was written and I wish Lucasfilm would reuse them in the new canon. 6) They do make up there own stuff,
7) And Alex does not hate the EU, do you not watch his all videos or are you just determined to overlook that and just hate for the sake of hating you always do.
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy Actually I love Legends. I spent 4 years of my life trying to learn everything big and small. But ok then, it's not like people didn't treat me the same way during the Prequels... 乁( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°)ㄏ
It would be cool if the Solo movie was like a heist. Taking some similarities from “Oceans 11” it would be awesome to see a bank heist in a Star Wars movie
Hey, I'd first like to say how much I love your channel, it's absolutely amazing and you make my life better with it. My question is this - how come after the emperor died the imperial s didn't get a new emperor, wasn't one of there biggest weaknesses that they had lost their leader and weren't as strong without him, wouldn't it be smarter for someone to step up. My second question is you know how the emperor believed that if he were to die the empire should die with him, if he thought this, why would he set up operation cinder - wasn't it like a salvation for the empire, I mean if he believed it should end too why would he give them a salvation for them to survive?
Something we’re hoping not to see in Solo? I vote for R2-D2 and C3PO. They were shoehorned in Rouge One, they don’t need be forced in again. Let the past die!
In Rebels, did we see Maul use the same Force ability that Luke used in the Last Jedi? Both of them projected themselves to a different planet, and the people that were seeing them thought that they were real. Of course, Maul only projected himself to Ezra, and Luke did it to hundreds of people. And its been a while since I watched that episode, so I might be missing something that would defeat my theory.
I wish Ben had Luke’s blue lightsaber. It would totally change the reason everyone is shocked to see it again, and it would add new meaning to the “that lightsaber belongs to me” line
Read The Force Unleashed II novel and was wondering: 1) Is this book a legend-within-Legends book? 2) If not, How was Vader rescued/escape? 3) Is the Battle of Kamino, as depicted in the book, the first victory of the Rebellion since you got to admit capturing Vader would be seen as a great victory. Thank you.
In cannon, When was or when do you think was the last large scale conflict the Jedi were a part of prior to the Clone Wars? Rebels mentions the war against the Mandalorians but that seems like ancient history.
I don’t know if this exactly works with canon concerning bleeding kyber crystals, but it would be interesting if the Sith decided early on that they would only bleed crystals that belonged to Jedi they had killed because they learned it was impossible to bleed your own without damaging it. During the Ilum episode of Clone Wars, each crystal calls out to a specific person before getting it’s color. The padawans cannot just take any crystal, it has to be the one that the force has bonded to them in some way. Since we know the Sith were concerned with domination over the force and building power from bending it to their will, it would make sense that they would want to start with dominating and bleeding a crystal that was bonded to a Jedi they killed. If they tried instead to dominate their own crystal, what would happen? Would it be like trying to dominate a part of yourself? Would it be like fighting yourself until you (in kylo’s words) are “torn apart”? Would the crystal then crack, representing the conflict within? Maybe this is why Kylo’s crystal is broken. Maybe he tried to bleed his own crystal without knowing that would happen. Idk, just an interesting theory. Someone let me know if there’s any canon stuff that would debunk it.
Yoda and Luke never actually explicitly agree that the Jedi should end. Yoda says something to the effect of, "Time, it is for you to pay attention to what's under your nose." Referencing his criticism of Luke in "Empire" where he says he's always looking toward the horizon rather than the here and now.
Since we see TIE Bombers and Interceptors in the ship DJ and BB-8 steal in The Last Jedi, do you think that they will show up someday in sequel content with a First Order upgrade ?
I expected something like a manual from kylo's lightsaber question, like he first took that crystal from there and used these and these then a little details here and done you've got yourself a lightsaber.
Have you ever thought about an in-universe explanation for Darth Vader's voice in Rogue One? Perhaps a temporary side-effect from his time in the bacta tank?
Just A Random Bored Guy That Has A TH-cam Acount I agree, Garmin Bel Iblis is a very interesting character. But if you guys are going to reply, you might well like the comment because the comments that get the most likes get answered on next week's video.
Sorry, I did like just now. And I wish Dave Filoni and Gareth Edwards could have put him in Rebels and Rouge 1 as it would have been the perfect time to. It also would have been a way to show that even the 3 members of the Rebel Alliance leadership fights for control, power and how to go about fighting the Empire. Edit: I mean Gareth Edwards, not Rian Johnson
For the storyboard question...What about Poe Dameron repeatedly learning the lesson to not be such a hot head, what are we on, 3 or 4 times now. Would be cool to see some Bounty Hunters from Clone Wars in Solo as villains, maybe Cad Bane.
Charlie Mylechreest check out Spacedock's channel. Videos on the ships on sw are a lot more his style than Alex's. I know he's a pretty big fan of the CR-90 and has a few videos on it.
Question for next week. I hope you answer it. We know why the bombers weren't at Starkiller base and that I figured out why and with them being slow they just be easy targets. But the question I have is Why were the A-wings not sent to Starkiller Base? They seem more then capable for at least providing cover for the X-wings or help out with that attack run before the Ties arrived. I've looked around for an answer to this since seeing The Last Jedi but nothing. Hope for some answer to this.
These might be dumb questions, but: 1. If the second Death Star was incomplete and had quite a few big holes in it, how did the vacuum of space not creep it's way in and sick all the oxygen out? 2. If Fulcrum Ahsoka used both light and dark sides and so did Mace Windu, what's the difference between a purple and white lightsaber?
I don’t recall Yoda agreeing with Luke that it was time for the Jedi to end. I can’t remember exactly what Yoda says but, he said something along the lines that it was time for Luke, to sort himself out.
This is how I thought Kylo made his saber: after the temple stuff happened, I feel like he tried to bleed his crystal but his conflicting feelings (referenced by snoke) caused it to crack. He didn’t notice and so he put his saber back together and tried to ignite it. And like what happened in the clone wars, his lightsaber exploded and damaged it. So to compensate for the damages and the extra energy he added the exhaust ports on the side for the cross guard look and that would explain why his lightsaber looks scorched
Do you think the Pykes might have a role to play in Solo? In one of the Lego sets for the film there appears to be a Pyke, specifically in the Kessel Run Falcon.
@ Star Wars Explained, it can be fair to say that the Darth Plagueis novel is one of the better stories from Star Wars Legends, along with the likes of the Darth Bane Trilogy. My question I would like to ask you is this: how would you feel if they adapted the Darth Plagueis novel into a canon graphic novel? Surely there are certain themes and plots within that can remain the same, others can be tweaked to match the new canon, and others (such as the Yinchorri subplot) could be omitted altogether. Here is a list of events that could remain, would you remove any or change them in anyway? - Darth Plagueis kills Darth Tenebrous on Bal'demnic - Darth Plagueis murders the crew of The Woebegone (this would be shown from the perspective of 11-4D) - Hego Damask first addresses Palpatine as Sheev Palpatine but Palpatine makes it clear he does not like being called by his birth name - Palpatine murdering his family and security team on the family starship - Plagueis conferring title of Darth Sidious to Palpatine - Most (if not all) Sith training scenes: Mygeeto, Hypori, Kursid etc... - The assassination attempt on Plagueis in the Order of the Canted Circle ceremony and Sidious' immediate retribution against the Gran Procterate - Plagueis and Sidious forcing their will upon the Force which results in the Force retaliating by the conceiving of Anakin Skywalker Plots that can be removed without affecting the overall story: - Darth Venamis and the three potential apprentices (Plagueis could experiment on the corpse of Darth Tenebrous instead?) - The Yinchorri - The political manipulations on Naboo; have Senator Palpatine be the man who makes the initial deals with the Trade Federation to ship plasma off world. Things to change: - Palpatine's age (2 years older than in Legends) - Palpatine's lightsabers (2 instead of 1; maybe he builds second one without Plagueis' knowledge) - How Palpatine obtained Maul (or maybe keep it the same to show that Sidious is lying to his master and plotting to overthrow him with Maul - Plagueis orders to Sidious to train Maul as a Sith Warrior, not a true Lord of the Sith; the title of Darth he bestows upon Maul has no meaning but it is part of the lie that Maul will someday be his equal. - Have Sidious and Plagueis individually show an interest in turning Jedi Master Dooku to the dark side; before Anakin Skywalker comes along Sidious could already be preparing to make Dooku his true Sith apprentice once Plagueis is destroyed and Maul is no longer of use to him. I'm really sorry about the length of this comment, but I hope you understand what I am trying to envision and hope that the Story Group might seriously consider for the future, as a way to bridge the divided fan base of Star Wars. Love the videos and look forward to even more in the future, may the Force be with you
Will also add: Why did the First Order not just sacrifice a bunch of starfighters throwing them at the Raddus without cover from the Supremacy? Because unlike the Empire, the First Order actually values their personnel and equipment. They have better fighters for a reason. Risking them in an action they view as unnecessary is not their style.
Also, while it's a tactic the Empire can afford to use because of sheer numbers, the First Order is barely a fraction the size of the Empire, which is why such methods are much riskier.
Would you like to see Rey use the blue crystal from the Skywalker lightsaber and the red crystal from Luke’s necklace to construct a double bladed lightsaber with both a blue and red blade?
Question: As an alternative to being killed off, do you think it's possible that Rebels will end with Kannan and/or Ezra joining the Chiss Ascendancy (like Vanto in Canon or Baron Fel in Legends)?
Important distinction: Yoda never agreed that it was time for the Jedi to end.
Luke: so it really is time, for the Jedi to end?
Yoda: Time it is... for you to get over a pile of old books!
Yoda was simply mocking Luke, he wasn’t agreeing with him. In fact, Yoda is who helped convince Luke that he was wrong. He changed his mind.
Joey Hillenbrand Thank you for pointing this out. People are misinterpreting something very important.
A lot of people didn't understand what Yoda said. That and the dialogue about Rey having already the books.
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy okay Jaden Smith
Yep exactly. I put this down too but couldn’t remember the exact wording.
Thank you.
I don’t agree that Yoda thought it was time for the Jedi to end. When Luke says “so it is time for the Jedi to end” Yoda says “time it is...for you to move past” and then talks about the burden of masters. I think Yoda is implicitly saying it’s not time for the Jedi to end but rather for the Jedi to grow past the failures of Yoda and Luke to become better
Michael Denton agreed ' time it is .... For you to look past a pile of old books'
He said it's time to look past the sacred Jedi texts
Didn’t luke is crazy af
I agree on the 'Han should not be former Empire' point. As much as I love that fact in Legends, there are so many main (or well known) characters (Sabine, Finn, Wedge, Iden, etc.) in the new canon who defected from the Empire, that having Han do the same might feel repetitive
Amy Cherryclaw It’s confirmed that Han was from the Imperial academy by one of the producers for Solo.
Mutan fanboy/Lockjaw
It's not Disney that wrote him.
Kylo Ren has more dimensions than any of the pre-Disney movie characters.
Come on, in the OT, only Darth Vader wasn't one dimensional...
No they don't, you know full well they don't Lockjaw.
Amy Cherryclaw The defection of the others if anything is a copy of Han solo

THATS EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT!!!!!!
not to mention that holdo's sacrifice is also similar to sato's own
Maybe Dave Filoni gave both the ideas to Rian.
InDistraction except Satos was 10x cooler and more intelligent than Holdos
like 97% viewers of this channel is watching sw rebels
Did you seriously just put another person on the council and not make them a master?
Dake Galcyon This is *OUTRAGEOUS!*
Take a seat, young Galcyon.
But it's outrageous! It's unfair! How can one be on the council and not be granted the rank of Master?
*T A K E A S E A T*
Did Yoda force project himself to Ezra in Star Wars Rebels?
Plojamin Koon good question!
I theorized it was like a weaker version of how Rey and Kylo spoke.
Since they can't see each other's surrounding.
I think he did but it was a simpler version of the power which was aided by the force locus in the Lothal Jedi temple
Plojamin Koon it seemed different it was more like a vision than creating an object that people could see. I would call it something else
No but he did to see ashoka when the inquisitors were destroying the temple
Do you think Rey is a Marie Sue or at least too overpowered. Matching force ability with a further trained Kylo?
Samuronite Wars yep. Just watch TLJ
Samuronite Wars NERF REY
Not in the fight (which was awesome, they deliberately had most of the guards handle Kylo) But they both when force pulling the saber match powers. I'm no sequel hater, just look at my profile pic but I'm interested in Star Wars Explained's opinion on the matter.
What would you call the conflict currently taking place in the Sequel Trilogy? The Second Galactic Civil War?
GJP I think in the canon novels they call it the Cold War. Not so cold anymore, though.
There was a second Galactic Civil War in legends, although it was completely different from the one in the sequel trilogy. Both are awesome so I’m ok with calling it that.
GJP I’ve thought this way too many times
Wookieepedia just calls it the "Resistance - First Order Conflict".
The Kylo Wars.
How old is Chewbacca and what is the natural life span of a wookie?
Chewbacca is 234 years old by the time of The Force Awakens. The natural lifespan of a Wookiee is around 400 standard years.
chewie is 6 and the life expediency is 19.5
Shiny Shinx Mine is correct. Look it up.
He only 200 years old.
Wookies live for more than 400 years.
What do you think has become of Coruscant since the Rebelions after the battle of Endor?
Jack Fogarty it's mentioned in the aftermath books I think
In bloodline, it was part of the New Republic and was represented in the senate.
It's destroyed...
+ThePetaaaaaa
That was Hosnian Prime, not Coruscant.
4:52 Cathar is from legends i think and its the name of the species living there
In Legends were the events of KOTOR and SWOTOR common knowledge to the average citizen during the movie era?
Really? I doubt that they'd understand the specifics if only a few years after the Jedi Civil War, people on Dantooine (where Jedi lived) had no idea what a Sith was.
I think they knew that there were radical Jedi crusades but nothing about the Sith, Malak, etc. Right?

Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy It took you three comments to even answer his question, and even then you still felt the need to bring up the whole canon vs. Legends debate...
+Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy Do the Old Republic and Kotor exist in Disney Canon?
After seeing the Last Jedi, do you have any additional thoughts about Project Resurrection?
Why in the Clone Wars do the Jedi wear battle armor yet in Revenge of the Sith it is absent? (Aside from the obvious out of universe reason that TCW was produced after ROTS)
Supreme Leader Smeagol maybe they only used armor in the early years of the Clone Wars

Obi-Wan Kenobi hello there.
General Kenobi....
Mine is Duel of the Fates from The Phantom Menace.
For me it's gotta be Yoda's theme
Mine is probably March of the Resistance.
March of the Resistance/March on the Jedi Temple
Do yo suspect Rey will wield a double blade lightsaber in X9. The crystal in Luke sabre is split in two (you can see when she talks to Leia).
Additionally, while the crystal is split in two I feel the blades would be stable as if it is a clean cut, the resulting crystals will have no cracks/fissures like Kylos does.
The crystal wasnt split in half and you need two crystals for double blades
itz DRod It was split in half when Rey and Kylo pulled on it (look up screen shots). When Rey is talking to Leia on the falcon at the end she is holding both ends of the broken hilt; you can visible see a piece of crystal sticking out of each end. Thus, that would give two crystals for a double lightsaber/ dual lightsabers.
It's good symbolism that his past is still apart of him. Loved the creativity that was laid out for us.
Do you think Luke used the force to put his x-wing in the sea, or do you think he landed it and had to swim out?
How it was positioned between two cliffs suggests he used the force
Yeah
I think he landed there during low tide, and the water submerged it.
Would you change anything about how Luke died, I personally would have had him use everything he had to repulse and do some serious damage to the the first order walkers.
Thanks for replying, that made a lot of sense to me! Keep up the amazing work and content
Where did chewy go into hyperspace in The Last Jedi after he dropped off rey on the Supremacy?
I think it is to fake people out that Chewie picked up Luke and brought him to Crait. But otherwise I think he didn't want to risk the Falcon being destroyed.
I didn’t ask why he did it I asked where he went lol
"Time it is....for you to look past a bunch of old books"-Yoda in response when Luke asks if it's time
Did Palpatine have a plan in case the Separatists won the clone wars?
Fizedean Radu He controlled both sides, so it was very much planned how the clone wars would end.
In episode 3 there is a gap in the the millennium falcon but in the Lego solo a star wars story pictures there is no gap! Why?
Great q and a love your channel.
Do you think that Episode 9 will have a major time jump?? This could allow them to have Leia die and Rey start looking for force sensitive children.
They should’ve had a time jump already, they’ve left it too late to explore this time period enough
What would your thoughts be if Hondo were to appear in the Han Solo movie? That's the space pirate I want to see.
Congrats on the new patreon subscriber! You are getting there!
Wouldn't using his own have also been the Kyber of a fallen Jedi?
yeah, that's how i see it, a symbolic gesture of sorts. the "fallen jedi" is meant to be someone the sith or darksider in question has personally slain which fits with the whole "i destroyed ben solo" aesthetic that kylo repeatedly tries and fails to project as can be seen in the inherent instability of the blade
InDistraction just like Vader betraying and murdering Luke's father
I'd call saving Chewie heroic!!
I see C-3PO and R2-D2 as the custodians of history of Star Wars, seeing how they were involved one way or another throughout the film franchise. Do you think we will see them in Rian Johnson's trilogy too?
Do you think there is any chance the clone wars will be finished?
eggboy plays if cartoon network lets them
If they did, Dave would just straight at the chance.
Lockjaw
You are just a troll since you know full well that it is canon..
eggboy plays There are legal issues, so there would be many things that would have to go right. It’s possible, but nearly impossible.
What's the deal with x wing ladders?
really though, where do they go? One min it's there, and then not lol
To be read in a Seinfeld voice
I thought they were propped up, but then they just seem to be there right when the pilot lands!
Why did the phase one clone Armor back plates change design from episode 2 to the clone wars series? (In Universe)
Tyler Ferron I think it is the animation style, so in universe the armour was exactly the same
Yobfish I never liked the phase 1 armor in the Clone Wars. It just didn't look right.
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy The 2008 clone wars series is canon, and many of it characters and storylines was put into other stuff like rebels and literature media.
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy the clone wars is cannon unless your referring to the 2003 one
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy 2003 is not canon. 2008 is canon
Much Fear Vs. Hope, Such Council Level!
Which Funko Pop is your favorite?
Did the Supremacy survive ? If so, do you think the first order gonna repair it for episode 9 ?
Are Jedi the only ones that can see force ghosts ?
Carbonite Hunter they are the only ones who can be force ghosts. Nothing suggests only lightside users can see them
itz DRod I mean the only one who’s reacted to them are light side Jedi, so it is a fair question.
"So it is time... for the jedi to end,"
"Time it is... for you to look past a pile of old books," Yoda never said it was time for the jedi to end
You do a damn good job. Thanks for the content.
The idea that Kylo bled his crystal and doing it so powerfully causing it to crack is pretty awesome.
I would love to see Hondo have a cameo.
On the topic of using the force mid lightsaber fight, it was explained in the Darth Bane books (I think) that both opponents would put up a "force shield" practically blocking any offensive force powers (unless the shield was broken)
Don't take my word for granted tho
do you think the Supremacy is completely out of commission or do you think it could be repaired?
I don't think "The Supremacy" can be considered destroyed after this. I imagine thousands and thousands of FO tugboats pulling the ship and the broken wing to the nearest ship repair yard like Kuat-Entralla Engineering and will be completely repaired by Episode 9 for Supreme Leader Kylo Ren.
How is it a plot hole? Please elaborate.
The shields also has the same weakness as SKB. Lightspeed is fast enough to to penetrate it.
There’s no question mark in the title. *TRIGGERED.*
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy That is your own certain point of view.
But I want to see Alex's point of view.
Lockjaw/Mutant Boy
The new Canon hasn't even gone into depth about it yet.
Lockjaw
1) I don't care about being called a Disney shill or fanboy as it's not offending.
2) Lucasfilm dose not steal from something they own, they reuse it. And it's not Disney that writes the films.
3) Alex dose not work for Disney or Lucasfilm, he is an independent TH-camr that has his own opinion
4) There are 2 EU's, 1 is for canon outside the films and 2nd is the legends content outside the films when that was canon.
How much after ep3 does Han solo take place?
I think it's basically the same ability, we also see Yoda do it too
Only ezra could see him because of their connection. Maul took advantage of it and got in his head
And I think that Luke could've only appeared to Ben, if he wanted to, but it wouldn't have worked. Everyone had to have seen him.
Do you think boba fett will be the main villain for the Han solo movie?
I love the idea that Kylo being so unbalanced at the time he couldn't bleed it properly and it cracked. Fits nicely.
Can you please compare and contrast the Raddus with Home 1 for me?
Yoda and Luke never actually explicitly agree that the Jedi should end. Yoda says something to the effect of, "Time, it is for you to pay attention to what's under your nose." Referencing his criticism of Luke in "Empire" where he says he's always looking toward the horizon rather than the here and now.
I’m someone who is looking to get into reading Star Wars books. What’s a recent book that would be good to start with?
Since we see TIE Bombers and Interceptors in the ship DJ and BB-8 steal in The Last Jedi, do you think that they will show up someday in sequel content with a First Order upgrade ?
I expected something like a manual from kylo's lightsaber question, like he first took that crystal from there and used these and these then a little details here and done you've got yourself a lightsaber.
Have you ever thought about an in-universe explanation for Darth Vader's voice in Rogue One? Perhaps a temporary side-effect from his time in the bacta tank?
What characters from Star Wars Legends do you want to see be introduced into Canon?
Gar Bel Iblis
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy O hey dude btw Legends was far from perfect it was great but honestly not perfect you troll
Just A Random Bored Guy That Has A TH-cam Acount thanks for liking!
For the storyboard question...What about Poe Dameron repeatedly learning the lesson to not be such a hot head, what are we on, 3 or 4 times now. Would be cool to see some Bounty Hunters from Clone Wars in Solo as villains, maybe Cad Bane.
Dude I feel the same way, we've been stuck in this time bubble and continue to see the same thing over and over.
Please do a video on Tantive IV and the battle at the beginning of a new hope! Thanks!
These might be dumb questions, but:
What do you think of Poe's character after The Last Jedi and after reading all the comics?
Do you think the Pykes might have a role to play in Solo? In one of the Lego sets for the film there appears to be a Pyke, specifically in the Kessel Run Falcon.
Who do you think would win between the flash and legends Luke Skywalker? Both of them at their full potential
Do you think the eclipse in episode 9?
Do you think BB-9E got off the supremacy?
What's the purpose of the shredder in the Supremacy's throne room (aside from slicing a Praetorian Guard into confetti)?
@ Star Wars Explained, it can be fair to say that the Darth Plagueis novel is one of the better stories from Star Wars Legends, along with the likes of the Darth Bane Trilogy. My question I would like to ask you is this: how would you feel if they adapted the Darth Plagueis novel into a canon graphic novel? Surely there are certain themes and plots within that can remain the same, others can be tweaked to match the new canon, and others (such as the Yinchorri subplot) could be omitted altogether. Here is a list of events that could remain, would you remove any or change them in anyway?
- Darth Plagueis kills Darth Tenebrous on Bal'demnic
- Darth Plagueis murders the crew of The Woebegone (this would be shown from the perspective of 11-4D)
- Hego Damask first addresses Palpatine as Sheev Palpatine but Palpatine makes it clear he does not like being called by his birth name
- Palpatine murdering his family and security team on the family starship
- Plagueis conferring title of Darth Sidious to Palpatine
- Most (if not all) Sith training scenes: Mygeeto, Hypori, Kursid etc...
- The assassination attempt on Plagueis in the Order of the Canted Circle ceremony and Sidious' immediate retribution against the Gran Procterate
- Plagueis and Sidious forcing their will upon the Force which results in the Force retaliating by the conceiving of Anakin Skywalker
Plots that can be removed without affecting the overall story:
- Darth Venamis and the three potential apprentices (Plagueis could experiment on the corpse of Darth Tenebrous instead?)
- The Yinchorri
- The political manipulations on Naboo; have Senator Palpatine be the man who makes the initial deals with the Trade Federation to ship plasma off world.
Things to change:
- Palpatine's age (2 years older than in Legends)
- Palpatine's lightsabers (2 instead of 1; maybe he builds second one without Plagueis' knowledge)
- How Palpatine obtained Maul (or maybe keep it the same to show that Sidious is lying to his master and plotting to overthrow him with Maul
- Plagueis orders to Sidious to train Maul as a Sith Warrior, not a true Lord of the Sith; the title of Darth he bestows upon Maul has no meaning but it is part of the lie that Maul will someday be his equal.
Love the videos and look forward to even more in the future, may the Force be with you
Why didn’t Chewy morn Hans death? Like I know he was angry and shot Kilo, but he didn’t seem sad in the last Jedi
5:20 Precisely. That is the job of the movie department ;D
Do you think a hyperspace jump into the death star could destroy it? If so, how big would the ship have to be?
Question: As an alternative to being killed off, do you think it's possible that Rebels will end with Kannan and/or Ezra joining the Chiss Ascendancy (like Vanto in Canon or Baron Fel in Legends)?
Is there currently any in-universe reason hyperspace ramming isn't used more often?
What's the difference between death troopers and inferno squad?
How did you feel about Luke's character in TLJ?
Nice Video :)
