Alex in your opinion what makes a star wars movie, a star wars movie? References to the Force, Force users, lightsabers, themes of family, good and evil, the struggle of finding one's destiny, stormtroopers and an Empire like adversary etc? And what a fresh start in the franchise means? Aside from having a good story to tell, good direction and performances, what do we keep from the norm and what we leave in the past?
What does "cutting off from the Force" mean? Rey said to Luke that he "cut himself off from the Force". Yoda on the other hand said that he "missed" him. Does it also mean you're unable to see the force ghosts if you separate yourself from the force? And with that information, does that mean droids can't see force ghosts -since they're not force sensitive- as it was asked in this video? Thanks
I got the feeling from Yoda in TLJ that when Luke had cut himself off from the force he had also cut himself off from force ghosts. Is that what you saw and is it relevant to the question of who force ghosts can appear to?
Do you think it's possible that the knights of Ren were leading the other legions of the first order to take control of the galaxy during the last jedi? And if so, do you think that the first order menaged to do so?
Pietro Pietro well you know in battlefront ii we know the ships we see in the last Jedi are just a 1% basically.... They have enough destroyers to take over the entire Galaxy within weeks... I think after the last Jedi and the legend of Luke Skywalker spreading by one microsecond at a time is making things rougher to the first order and we'll probably catch up on 9 after a long period of war...
Ryley 18 he could hear it from the cliff. I’m sure it has a distinctive sound he’d recognize. 🤔 It came from the sky not the sea in the other side of the island.
Ryley 18 i am pointing out the obvious common sense. I love about 10-15 miles from a navy base which has pilots flying in and out of the area at times. We do hear and see them. That island is not that big. It is a huge ship which would make sound. 🤔
I'm going into it with very low expectations as it is not a movie I wanted or felt needed to be made, as well as not really giving a damn about Han's backstory. Still I hope it surprises me and is a great movie.
On Crait, why didn't Luke tell the Resistance that he was buying them time? Wouldn't his plan work better if he filled them in on it instead of them having to figure it out on their own?
Agent Orange perhaps. But if I labeled every moment from these movies I didn’t understand as “bad writing” then they wouldn’t be as much fun to talk about!
Mutants and Inhumans you do realise it was introduced in episode 1 which is cannon so the rule of 2 is cannon. Hell it's talked about in the clone wars.
Ghost Company2.0 If i recall correctly he did visit but there was not much left. He was looking for more jedi knowledge. All i recalk qas wonder ans sadness. He established his own Academy on Yavin. This is from legends.
do you think that fan theries made us expect to much from the last jedi in terms of snoke and ray's parants and how important they are for the trillegie
In truth, I believe Luke did care about the Jedi, that he couldn't REALLY let go. This is demonstrated when he couldn't bring himself to burn THE SACRED TEXTS
In canon: He wasn't missing in action, it was rumored that he was killed when Gallius Rax assassinated the NR military and political leadership on Chandrila when he ordered Rae Sloane to fake a peace treaty with them. In Legends: He was killed by a Hutt.
I have always wanted to know what happened to Barriss Offee after she was arrested and also what Luminara thought about her and what she has done since they were really close. Maybe you can give me some explanation about this since I can't find any.
Ozzel so they can make the rebel sympathizer fan theory canon. The Empire Strikes Back doesn't have a clear indication of how long Luke was on Dagobah so hopefully it answers that question too.
RM_Prime my one friend believes dagobahs time is skewed compared to other planets according to a canon book he read (his inference) so the falcon crew couldve been on bespin for a few days but luke couldve been on dagobah for weeks. I hope they clarify.
8:51 ME: hey, that commenter's name kinda sounds like my name ME: hey, their comment kinda sounds like my comment from that one time... ME: Wait a second... *GASP* That's MY comment! Oh snap!!! YAS!
Yeah, I think so. I think what should've happened is Luke gives the lightsaber to his nephew, young Jedi Ben Solo, as a sort of passing the torch down the Skywalker family line. Then it makes even *more* sense for him to say it's his in TFA. I feel this would've strengthened the bond between Luke and Ben for audiences, making Ben's treachery even more poignant.
With TLJ lacking a lightsaber duel & Episode 9 being the final instalment of this trilogy, Do you think it will feature a lengthy & memorable lightsaber duel this time around? (on the scale of RoTS or ESB)
How come after starkiller base was destroyed the first order was barley affected and were able to take over the galaxy. But when hosnian prime was destroyed the republic was able to fall even though they are a large intergalactic government.
Tj's world My best guess is that the headquarters of the First Order was not on Starkiller Base, but on Snoke's Star Destroyer. The HQ of the Republic was on Hosian Prime, and now only the Resistance is left without a central government to protect them. My opinion though.
The reason why Starkiller Base being destroyed didn't really hurt the first order as much as the Republic is pretty easy to answer from reading the books. While Starkiller base was a big weapon for the FO, it was not the only one. The FO still had all its Starships and Troopers out there. And they really didn't even lose many personal as Starkiller base took so long to actually blow up that a lot of the personal stationed on the base were able to evacuate. The Republic, on the other hand, lose a heck of a lot more. Not only did they lose their government when their capital was destroyed, they also lost the Home Fleet that was stationed in the system, which was the main bulk of the entire Republics Starfleet (the Republic had a major disarmament bill that went into effect shortly after the galactic concordance was sign, greatly reducing the standing army and Starfleet they would have deployed at any one time). It was also known (from the novel Bloodlines) that many Republic Senators and planetary governments were actually supporters of the first order. Once the Central Government was destroyed and the Republic lacking its leadership, most worlds either gave in to the FO because that was their plan as supporters of them all along, or the surrendered knowing that they couldn't win now and resisting would only mean that they would suffer
What is so important about Ezra that draws the Emperor's attention? Could he be related to Snoke? Maybe Snoke's previous apprentice was Ezra due to his specialty.....
Travis Bunch oh wow I was just trying to rationalize it. But then again in return of the Jedi when we see the Hayden Christensen anakin force ghost had 2 arms
i thought about it for a while and it seems like it has no logical answer to me the robotic hand would be not considered part of his living body so it wouldnt fade away to the force with him? if so, what differs it from hair or nails which are also dead parts connected to your body? should his teeth become one with the force too? do you think this makes sense or am i just dumb
Do you think that the reason we haven't seen the knights of ren yet is that they don't exist yet? Maybe now that smoke is dead and Kylo is supreme leader, he finally brings the ex-apprentices together into a formal organization. Like until this point they were all just working on other tasks in the military.
so you mean that they were just some Dark Jedi for now? I still think that they will have trust issues with Ren and that Hux will attempt to turn them against him, then Kylo will have unexpected help from Luke's ghost and will surprisingly defeat them and show them that he is a worthy leader meanwhile Hux got enough time to get his own portion of the First Order and turn then loyal to him and not Ren, then Kylo gets the Knights to capture Rey
Hera, Chopper and the Ghost survive, obviously. Kanan will die before the finale and become the giant Lothwolf. Ezra will die in the finale. Zeb will sacrifice himself fighting Rukh so everyone can escape. Sabine's family will die so she will become the leader of her people and return to Mandalore.
I have two questions about Force-nexus planets. We currently have 3 planets that are quoted as force nexus (Mortis, Dark-Side Dagobah and Light-Side Ach-To), and a few planets one could argue have a lot of "force connections" as to say (LS -Lothal, Jeddha, Ilum; DS - Moraband, Malachor, Mustafar; V, Neutral - Coruscant, Uatapau). What causes a planet to have such "force sensibility"? Ilum is like a planet of Kyber, as is Jeddha, and Korriban and Mustafar are quoted as very strong with the dark side. Also, how does time work in general in this planets? do the flow of time of Dagobah and Ach-To work like Mortis (explaining why both Luke and Rey could become very good force users while for the rest of the galaxy only a few hours have passed)?
Could Kyber crystals be destroyed by explosions? Or could they be cut in half by some blade? Would a lightsaber be able to cut through it or would the crystal absorb all the power? Thanks
Just A Random Bored Guy That Has A TH-cam Acount Kyber crystals or Death Stars? You don't know if it's Kyber crystals either survived or were destroyed :/
deadshot 500 No we won’t kanon and ezera are both novice Jedi. Also the reason there are new force powers in the new trilogy is because it’s been 70 years
Are you saying that the sequel trilogy has this or doesn't? Because I'm fairly sure it's the same way right now - JJ served as Executive Producer on TLJ and Kathy is the head of Lucasfilm. Plus there's Pablo, who's in charge of a lot of the story management and frequently tweets interesting stuff. I think Rian was told some things and it was his job to get the characters where they needed to be. I could go on, but I don't wanna get too bogged down.
From what I know, I could be wrong, and if I am shown evidence to show otherwise I will concede this. Back when Lucas was making the original trilogy he had a general idea of what he wanted the plot to be like. If you watch interviews of him you see that originally all three original movies were supposed to be made into one but it would have been way too long. In that case he made one stand alone movie due to producer restraints but once he had the green light he made more and had a general idea of where to go but not how to get there. From what I know of the production of these new movies is that J.J. established the Force Awakens, and then the next director for the next movie would just take the story in a new way, while doing some collaboration with the storyboard. Rather than making the smart choice, in my opinion, and lay out from before Force Awakens and make a plan of everything story wise to minimize the mistakes between story lines and all of that. For example, a map leading to Luke Skywalker making him seem to wanting to be found only to say go away. From what I know about Pablo is that he and the rest of the storyboard just try to organize the canon but in my opinion they can do a way better job. From what I see of Kathy is that she just puts what ever the hell she wants (going into political opinion here) and I heard that Rian finished the screen writing before Force Awakens came out and before he saw it. I could be wrong but I wanted to explain what I said before. Hope this clears it up and sorry for the essay lol.
PolarPhantom Julian is correct. There is no direction for these movies. Many plot points from TFA dismissed and the directors had complete control. And Kennedy has no idea how to do SW or else she would have established a clear path for all 3 movies.
Why the big Kyber crystals in both Star Wars Rebels and unfinished episodes of TCW were green & exploded in green? Shouldn't raw Kyber crystals be colorless? Thanks
Veldaren they arent colorless but i believe force users can see the color to others they are opaque. In the ashoka book ilum is mined by having chunks of the planet ripped from it because its impossible for non force sensitive to fin crystals
same i figured the event was big enough in the force that all force sensitives atleast in the radius of the two planets saw it happen in real time and the ending bit is the force sensitive kid telling the story to the non force sensitives
Big Ben if they do it happened really fast. There was no time lapse between the movies for such a thing to happen. That is a plot hole I have been thinking about
Alorha Baga good point but there is some time difference between when the Hosnian system was destroyed and when the First Order arrived at D'Qar in episode 8. So I was just wondering if during that time most systems surrendered to the First Order or not.
itz DRod good point but there is some time difference between when the Hosnian system was destroyed and when the First Order arrived at D'Qar in episode 8. So I was just wondering if during that time most systems surrendered to the First Order or not.
@Starwarsexplained What do you think about Wedge's potential return to the sequel trilogy? If so, what would you expect to come from his reoccurence. Personally I'd love to see his interaction with Poe. It would be awesome to see the chemistry between some of the greatest pilots in the galaxy. As a bonus: who do you think is the better pilot overall?
How does propulsion in Star Wars work where ships need to constantly push forward to avoid an enemy behind them? More specifically I'm asking about what we saw in Last Jedi where it was a game of "catching up" rather than an object in motion just stays in motion. Do Star Wars ships like Snoke's Supremacy have such intense gravity (natural or artificial) they start to pull on other ships toward them or were they using tractor beams to try and "drag them" back or something else?
AgentN Considering the fact that Fillony has been promoted to head of Star Wars animation, they are probably going to make another show. They may even have two running at the same time.
sorry if this has been explained in some other form of media, but is there a canon explanation to where The Raddus, The Ninka, The Anodyne and The Vigil was during The Force Awakens either on a resupply mission like Crimson and Cobalt Squadron or in orbit of D'Qar and we didn't see them or something else?
Hey Alex ... So Luke force projected himself onto Crait as a younger man using the Anakin sabre meaning the force user can project what he desires. Do you think Vader was force projecting to Dagobah in ESB?
This a tow part question. I was recently watching revenge of the sith and what happened two the second half of the Invisible Hand, and what was the business on Cato Modia???
I've got two questions 1st) In the two films we see Clone troopers and the subsequent ranks that command them, along with the animated TCW Tv show, we see several Clone Officers, Captains, Commandos, Commanders, and even ARC Troopers. My question is, what equipment specifically set a Clone Captain apart from a Clone Commander, or Clone ARC Trooper? 2nd) In Star Wars Rebels, we see that the Inquisitors can "fly" by spinning their spinning double bladed lightsabers and holding them above their heads. My question here is, do you think a certain "Droid General" with a notorious habit for spinning his lightsabers around his mechanical body could "fly" in a sense also?
Do you think there is any connection between the Bendu summoning a storm in Rebels season 3 and Yoda shooting lightning from the sky? Does this confirm the Bendu is a force ghost?
Man, between your channel and Jedi Council, I learn so much. I don't read the books, but do really enjoy the Vader comic...because it is Vader..lol.. Thanks for all your work.
Do you want the saga films to continue in say 10 years once more spin off films and Rian Johnsons new trilogy has been completed? If yes, what would you want it to focus on? Broom kid?
Question regarding snoke connecting Rey and kylo... If kylo and Rey couldn't really see their surroundings and could really only see each other... How is it that there were still able to interact with it. Example... The wave crashing behind Rey and kylo wiping water from his face?...
4:00 There is some evidence both ways indicating that Force Ghosts can pick and choose who they appear to and evidence that they can be seen by anyone in the area. In Empire Strikes Back, Han was running to Luke and almost ran through Obi-Wan's Force Ghost without seeming to notice the disappearing man. On the other side of the coin in was the Clone Wars episode "Sacrifice" where Qui-Gon's half force ghost manifested as voice to Yoda in the garden but Anakin (who was walking towards Yoda) seemed to hear Qui-Gon's voice as well.
Now that active hyperspace tracking is a thing in canon, do you think we will see a different method of travelling faster than light ? Maybe a method, that was not used before because it's far slower, experimental or way more dangerous.
Do you think Rebels will end with the Battle of Scarif? The Mid-Season 4 trailer didn't really make it seem that way. I suppose they could be hiding it, though. I watched Rogue One again the other day, and it made me wonder. If Ezra was at Yavin IV as suggested by the Ghost being there, he could have heard of a mission involving Saw Gerrera, and might have wanted to go. That could be something brought up in an episode as a sort of easter egg.
While playing Battlefront 2 I have the feeling that First order TIE fighters are a bit smaller than the Empire's one. Do you know if they really are ? Thanks for you videos man I love them
When Luke faded into the Force did his robot hand fade as well or was it left behind in his robe sleeve? Mark Hamill himself was wondering about this on Twitter. Not sure if it's already been answered
before episode 9, we will already get comics of Snoke's connections to the Empire and why he exactly got chosen as leader and after episode 9 we get comics or the new trilogy about Snoke's life before The Clone Wars
In some of the novelization of the force awakens had poe meeting rey. Then in the last jedi they meet for the first time. Are they just going to pick and choose what is included from the supposed novelaztions of these movies or the canon books?
So, since we know rose was involved in the creation of the baffler tech (I'm going to keep hammering on this till you cover it), why do you think she didn't bring it up during the plotting behind holdo's back? We know for a fact once the plan was fully explained to Poe he felt it was viable. Even a throwaway line of "I have an idea....no wait that would only work if we had a planet to land on and they didn't run an active sensor sweep...nevermind" would have been enough in my book, in the film it seems to come out of left field.
Only parts of the book are canon as they written before the actual final script is complete and is based on a similar script and contain deleted scenes.
Do you think there'll be comics focusing on Luke's adventures post Return of the Jedi? Such as his search for Jedi-artifacts together with Lor San Tekka, how and where he set up his temple, who his students were and where they were from, his training with Ben Solo and the things that would eventually make him lose faith in the Jedi and himself?
When Luke cut himself off from the force was it like he was a normal non-force sensitive being again or was it something different? Something like the Islimirri maybe?
Do you think we'll see Ezra get a vision or glimpse/flashback through the force of have The Ones came to be? With something similar to their backstory in legends? Also could we see a glimpse of something Snoke related when Ezra is seen in some sort of vault by Sidious. (Wearing the stormtrooper armor at the time in both occasions; the murel of the ones and when confronting what's probably sidious, that is.
Who do you think is more powerful (overall) Snoke or the Son? Obviously the vampire like son wins the cake for physical abilities, but what a about spiritual-force?
Could there be any chance we get to see a connection between Solo movie with the character of Lando in order to have him in ep IX? I'd like that to happen so he can have a last reunion with the Millenium falcon and I also think it can be through Maz character so they can come with something. Congrats on your channel !
I am still a little confused on how the force projection power works. In TLJ we see C-3PO acknowledge Luke's projection. If this is some sort of Force power working within one's mind, then how does a droid see Luke. I know that Luke doesn't seem to have much of a physical presence on Crait, except when the visual and audio sensor's of C-3PO pick him up. Does that mean that this power is working in a semi-physical realm? Or is the Force just able to exert control over even droid "brains"? I know in KOTOR II Kreia talks about how hearing T3-M4 in the Force is difficult because he is a droid. Just a curiosity of mine, I mean obviously the team at Lucasfilm probably didn't think about this too much, but now that I have seen the movie three times, it confuses me.
Why was Obi-wan featured in Reys force vision in TFA? They made a special effort to get Ewan Mcgregor to do the voice. Does this still have significance to the story or just something that was dropped. He says "these are your first steps" this could imply that he has been watching her, expectant for something? Or are all the force ghosts just watching everyone galaxy-wide, waiting for the force to randomly and very powerfully awaken in someone, so they can tell them, "these are your first steps" when i does?
Hi Alex, this one's barely related to Star Wars but knowing Tom Baker is the voice of the Bendu in Rebels, I'm curious to know. Have you ever watched Doctor Who (either the classic or current series)? If so, what do you think of it.
Alex I have a weird question, but what if Rowan Freemaker was Rey’s father? He did survive the battle of Endor, even if the show isn’t fully canon. If he were to be Rey’s father it would explain why the Skywalker lightsaber called to Rey the same way the Kyber saber called to Rowan. What do you think?
Elemental Jedi that doesn’t change how ridiculous it would be to have a character from a Lego show aimed at children to be the father of Rey, a character from a movie franchise aimed at Star Wars fans all ages, besides I think the freemakers are the last thing Lucasfilm cares about for Star Wars so it is very unlikely
Elemental Jedi yeah but it tells side stories of characters we already know, I doubt the films would have any connections with that weird desert creature that Rey faces in the first episode
Do you think their will be another From a Certain Point of View Novel? If so, Do you think it will follow the events of The Empire Strikes back next? And what POV would you like to see? I personally would like to see the POV of Captain Needa. The fact that he was willing to go to Lord Vader himself to admit his failure I think says something about him and how he could potentially be a good and fair Captain. I think a Few Imp Captains we have seen in the past would have tried to blame their subordinates or find a way to not have it be their fault. That fact that not only did he take responsibility for it, but that he would go to face Lord Vader in person. He had to know or strongly suspect what was going to happen when he did
1) General Carlist Rieekan 2) Captain Lorth Needa 3) Admiral Piett 4) Mon Mothma’s son from legends 5) Anyone aboard one of the 30 GR-75 transports 6) Dec (lukes gunner) 7) Hobbie (and his death with veers) 8) General veers 9) Boba fett 10) An Ugnought 11) Imperial on cloud city 12) Civilians on cloud city 13) White Hoth protocol droid 14) Red protocol droid (Legends) 15) A cloud city Blue guard 16) The rude protocol droid on cloud city who to told 3-PO to piss off 17) Wedge Antilles after hoth 18) The Medical droid who treated luke (2 stories) 19) The captain who died on the destroyer when the asteroid hit the bridge (In hologram) 20) An imperial on the bridge who saw Vader choke Ozzel (and a way to explain the camera) 21) Lobot 22) Lando 23) The Major at echo base 24) Any of the other Bounty hunters on the executor 25) Stromtroopers who shot 3-PO 26) Anyone aboard the disabled SD at Hoth battle 27) Other rebel pilots at the Hoth battle 28) Rogue 2 29) Admiral ozzell 30) Guy with the ice cream maker 31) A stortrooper knocked by chewi in the freezing chamber 32) Anyone from blizzard squadron 33) An Intidictor cruiser passenger that was on it's way to Hoth 34) Snowtrooper at Hoth 35) Snowtrooper eaten by wompa 36) Yendor 37) Yoda 38) Anyone one Yavin 4 from ANH on hoth 39) Anyone on the bridge when Vader watched the ties for amusement 40) Tie fighter/bomer/interceptor/ in asteroid scenes 41) Cloud car pilot 42) Anyone manning the ion cannon at hoth 43) A rebel from Pheonix squadron 44) The women at Hoth command center
Ahh All good choices. I too thought of Admiral Piett, and one of the passengers of the Transports would be a great choice. I wouldn't mind seeing one from Lobot as well. The Lando Comic ended with him being more machine then man now, but it would be interesting to see his POV just to see how true that is. And it sure looks like you have the makings for the Book all by yourself there :D
Does the First Order have TIE Interceptors and Bombers? Because when DJ gives his POV of the war between the Order and the Resistance for Finn, he shows a hologram that has the new X-Wing and AT-ST models, but the TIE models in it seem too familiar to the ones of the imperial era. But well, it was just a hologram, so those could have been newer models.
Considering the scene of Rey, I think there is some sort of denial even as a kid. She was raised by Unkar Plutt and I could see her imagining that some random ship was her parents ship, which I'm sure bothered Unkar.
(Star Wars Explained) In The Clone Wars it's stated the reasoning for the clones having different personalities was because the kaminoans had the lack of Jango Fett DNA, (after he died) which caused them to keep stretching out his genes. So the clone batches after AOTC, started having small differences between each clone. But why didn't the Republic/Kaminoans just used Boba Fetts DNA? Is it because Boba was still just a clone? But he was an unaltered clone, so wouldn't his Genes be the closet to the original? Maybe Boba genes still wouldn't heaved worked because his genes were still only a copy of Jangos.... Am i right or wrong?
Alex in your opinion what makes a star wars movie, a star wars movie? References to the Force, Force users, lightsabers, themes of family, good and evil, the struggle of finding one's destiny, stormtroopers and an Empire like adversary etc? And what a fresh start in the franchise means? Aside from having a good story to tell, good direction and performances, what do we keep from the norm and what we leave in the past?
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy dude you need a life
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy no
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy lol “7-9 should have been thrawn’s story” 😂😂😂😂😂
In clone wars legacy episode "Big Bang" the one thousand years old Yavin code was mentioned by Obi-Wan, what is this?
Leo Joël Schaa It’s a rule that prisoners must be blindfolded prior to their execution. Obi-Wan mentioned it to stall and buy time for Anakin
The Yavin convention is the Star Wars equivalent of the Geneva convention.
Thanks
in the force unleashed rahm kota cut off his connection to the force from drinking
I got the feeling from Yoda in TLJ that when Luke had cut himself off from the force he had also cut himself off from force ghosts. Is that what you saw and is it relevant to the question of who force ghosts can appear to?
It did make sense for Yoda to appear in TLJ than Obi Wan Kenobi, due to Alec Guinness no longer being alive.
Do you think it's possible that the knights of Ren were leading the other legions of the first order to take control of the galaxy during the last jedi? And if so, do you think that the first order menaged to do so?
I could buy that.
I assume they were sent off to do something else in another part of the galaxy.
RadioactiveOwl95 i thought they were still training
All great idea's! Let's hope they reappear in episode 9
How many resistance members survived and who are they
Mr.cat The best cat 69😂😂😂👌👌🔥🔥🤣😒😅😱🅱️
Mr.cat The best cat apparently few enough they can fit all of them on the millenium falcon...
Mr.cat The best cat i think about 12
Will Zay and Shriv appear in Episode IX as some of those allies from the outer rim ?
Doubt but would be cool.
The Battlefront campaign near the end brought me so in to the universe that I half expected to see Zay in TLJ.
Didn't Luke see or hear the falcon when Rey and chewie arrived ? He seems very surprised to learn that the falcon and chewie are here
Ryley 18 its actually really not
Ryley 18 he could hear it from the cliff. I’m sure it has a distinctive sound he’d recognize. 🤔 It came from the sky not the sea in the other side of the island.
I think he was too focus on his pee ...
Ryley 18 i am pointing out the obvious common sense.
I love about 10-15 miles from a navy base which has pilots flying in and out of the area at times. We do hear and see them.
That island is not that big.
It is a huge ship which would make sound. 🤔
Bad writing since Skellig Michael is tiny
In the Force Awakens, Finn mentions the Trillia Massacre. What exactly is the Trillia Massacre?
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Trillia_Massacre
You really DON'T wanna know!!
Did you ever see any of the Critters movies? Imagine that but with Rathtars and no jokes.
No they didnt Mutant Fanboy.
We don’t know, and might never.
im going to approach solo the same way i approached TLJ "i dont know how its going play out but its going to be awesome" and i wasn't disapointed
Knightikhan I’m going to see solo expecting it to be bad. Since Disney said it would be a flop. So then I’m not so disappointed
Yeah i tried to not speculate or read into anything (unlike most people) and i liked the movie but i had issues with it.
I'm going into it with very low expectations as it is not a movie I wanted or felt needed to be made, as well as not really giving a damn about Han's backstory. Still I hope it surprises me and is a great movie.
Why do I detect a hint of producers in there?
Knightkhan
Face it you would go see "Porgs a star wars story".
On Crait, why didn't Luke tell the Resistance that he was buying them time? Wouldn't his plan work better if he filled them in on it instead of them having to figure it out on their own?
He kinda did, as Leia didn’t feel him touch her, and 3PO saw something was off about him.
Connoralpha Leia knew
Eugenideddis C3PO made everyone laugh
Because bad writing
Agent Orange perhaps. But if I labeled every moment from these movies I didn’t understand as “bad writing” then they wouldn’t be as much fun to talk about!
In TPM how did the Jedi council know about the Sith rule of two?
Mutants and Inhumans you do realise it was introduced in episode 1 which is cannon so the rule of 2 is cannon. Hell it's talked about in the clone wars.
Mutants and Inhimans Fanboy Do you remember this line from The Phantom Menace: "Always two there are, a Master and an Apprentice."
Ok but the real question is how did the Jedi know about it
Mutants and Inhumans Fanboy false. It is.
FMA Official why would they not? I mean the sith no alot about the jedi why wouldnt the jedi know stuff about the sith
What is the difference between hyperspace tracking and the usual tracking?
Why cant people accept that Snoke is dead?
Marco D. Toon He went out in such a horrible way, fan theories, and the way his character was built up by TFA all led to disappointment.
cause he's not
because if he did die, he is a subpar villian and character
atleast that's what most think
Because he was such a big character in TFA and then just boom. Died in TLJ. it’s just disappointing. People wanted more.
I think he is dead, but I think the character became such a waste when he got killed
Didn’t Kylo use Anakin’s lightsaber in the flash back scene? (I have only seen the movie once so far)
Anakin's was lost on Cloud City or with Maz by then.
In either legendside or canon, did Luke ever visited the Jedi temple in COURSCANT and how did he reacted or act towards it.
SWM somethingwithmotion yeah snoke was hyped up by fans i can understand being annoyed at reys parents tho
Yes.
If Luke wanted to hide from the galaxy, why didn't he chose some random planet that doesn't have history with the jedi or map to it's location?
BulgarianFan Because two directors with different ideas.
Not really the island was shown in the force awakens
Luke wanted to learnt new powers and Jedi origins...
Luke went there to end the Jedi with him
In truth, I believe Luke did care about the Jedi, that he couldn't REALLY let go. This is demonstrated when he couldn't bring himself to burn THE SACRED TEXTS
What happened to General Madine after Battle of Endor ?
In canon:
He wasn't missing in action, it was rumored that he was killed when Gallius Rax assassinated the NR military and political leadership on Chandrila when he ordered Rae Sloane to fake a peace treaty with them.
In Legends:
He was killed by a Hutt.
Just A Random Bored Guy That Has A TH-cam Acount A Hutt? Why?
I have always wanted to know what happened to Barriss Offee after she was arrested and also what Luminara thought about her and what she has done since they were really close. Maybe you can give me some explanation about this since I can't find any.
Same here as well. I hope LucasFilm does gives us a story with Barriss Offee after the Jedi Temple Bombing arc.
If they make an Empire Strikes Back version of A Certain Point of view, which characters would you like to see portrayed?
Ozzel so they can make the rebel sympathizer fan theory canon. The Empire Strikes Back doesn't have a clear indication of how long Luke was on Dagobah so hopefully it answers that question too.
RM_Prime my one friend believes dagobahs time is skewed compared to other planets according to a canon book he read (his inference) so the falcon crew couldve been on bespin for a few days but luke couldve been on dagobah for weeks. I hope they clarify.
RM_Prime I don't think that Ozzel is a Rebel sympathizer, he's just "as clumsy as he is stupid!"
8:51 ME: hey, that commenter's name kinda sounds like my name
ME: hey, their comment kinda sounds like my comment from that one time...
ME: Wait a second... *GASP* That's MY comment! Oh snap!!! YAS!
RedCaio Nice
RedCaio that would be my exact reaction if I my question was answered 😂😂😂
Not even a true Star Wars fan
Were you happy with his answer?
Yeah, I think so. I think what should've happened is Luke gives the lightsaber to his nephew, young Jedi Ben Solo, as a sort of passing the torch down the Skywalker family line. Then it makes even *more* sense for him to say it's his in TFA. I feel this would've strengthened the bond between Luke and Ben for audiences, making Ben's treachery even more poignant.
They treat a trilogy like it's nothing. Well, Johnson made a critically well received film. He's getting his trilogy.
With TLJ lacking a lightsaber duel & Episode 9 being the final instalment of this trilogy, Do you think it will feature a lengthy & memorable lightsaber duel this time around? (on the scale of RoTS or ESB)
Kylo ren Vs Luke on crate
Do you think Solo will keep its release date now that Deadpool 2 is opening a week before?
How come after starkiller base was destroyed the first order was barley affected and were able to take over the galaxy. But when hosnian prime was destroyed the republic was able to fall even though they are a large intergalactic government.
Tj's world My best guess is that the headquarters of the First Order was not on Starkiller Base, but on Snoke's Star Destroyer. The HQ of the Republic was on Hosian Prime, and now only the Resistance is left without a central government to protect them. My opinion though.
Kevin Ramos I think The First Order has no HQ and simply hide in the unknown regions
Because plot
Dave Plot basically, and I hate to say it because it foretells poor writing. Look where TLJ left us.
What is so important about Ezra that draws the Emperor's attention? Could he be related to Snoke? Maybe Snoke's previous apprentice was Ezra due to his specialty.....
Ezra is Snoke.
LOL nope
Hehe
Will rey form the ancient jedaai in ep 9 cos of balance . If so what will happen after ix ?
What would you think if Biggs Darklighter survived the Battle of Yavin?
What is the difference between hyperspace tracking and the device the empire used in rebels to pull ships out of hyperspace.
one just tracks and the other pulls out a ship to a stop in their tractor beam type weapon.
The big question is how did Luke's robotic hand become one with the force. It should have clanked to the ground
Travis Bunch maybe it landed on his clothes that's why it did not clank on the ground?
Nathan .w , nah, i watched it a few times. The shot lingers a few seconds after and his robes just blow away. No hand.
Travis Bunch oh wow I was just trying to rationalize it. But then again in return of the Jedi when we see the Hayden Christensen anakin force ghost had 2 arms
Nathan .w actually I thought about that too, but they only show Anakin from the waist up. Never show his arm
i thought about it for a while and it seems like it has no logical answer to me
the robotic hand would be not considered part of his living body so it wouldnt fade away to the force with him?
if so, what differs it from hair or nails which are also dead parts connected to your body?
should his teeth become one with the force too?
do you think this makes sense or am i just dumb
Do you think that the reason we haven't seen the knights of ren yet is that they don't exist yet? Maybe now that smoke is dead and Kylo is supreme leader, he finally brings the ex-apprentices together into a formal organization. Like until this point they were all just working on other tasks in the military.
Jake Mooney i think its because there out doing otherstuff like attacking resistance allies that never replied
Jake Mooney ooo I like that
so you mean that they were just some Dark Jedi for now? I still think that they will have trust issues with Ren and that Hux will attempt to turn them against him, then Kylo will have unexpected help from Luke's ghost and will surprisingly defeat them and show them that he is a worthy leader meanwhile Hux got enough time to get his own portion of the First Order and turn then loyal to him and not Ren, then Kylo gets the Knights to capture Rey
Bad writing.
Can you predict what will happen to each member of the ghost crew?
Hera, Chopper and the Ghost survive, obviously. Kanan will die before the finale and become the giant Lothwolf. Ezra will die in the finale. Zeb will sacrifice himself fighting Rukh so everyone can escape. Sabine's family will die so she will become the leader of her people and return to Mandalore.
RM_Prime that’s exactly what I think too
I have two questions about Force-nexus planets.
Thanks
The 2 DS was powered by kyber crystals, they wear destroyed so... yes, something of immense fire power can.
Just A Random Bored Guy That Has A TH-cam Acount
Kyber crystals or Death Stars? You don't know if it's Kyber crystals either survived or were destroyed :/
Q & A: what did anakin do with ahsokas padawan bead thingy after she left the order? And if he kept it did Vader carry it too?
Will we see new force powers in the final episodes of rebels?
deadshot 500
No we won’t kanon and ezera are both novice Jedi. Also the reason there are new force powers in the new trilogy is because it’s been 70 years
Lucas generally had an idea of where he wanted to go. He didn’t have a plan but he knew what we wanted later down without details.
I took it as the kids saw through the force.
NET Alliance - Star Wars Fun Luke Forcelivestreamed the whole thing.
i guess lore isnt a thing any more
same i figured the event was big enough in the force that all force sensitives atleast in the radius of the two planets saw it happen in real time and the ending bit is the force sensitive kid telling the story to the non force sensitives
By the time of the Last Jedi, do the First Order control most of the galaxy or was it still in a state of no central government or even anarchy?
Big Ben if they do it happened really fast. There was no time lapse between the movies for such a thing to happen.
That is a plot hole I have been thinking about
There was no timelapse between both movies
Alorha Baga good point but there is some time difference between when the Hosnian system was destroyed and when the First Order arrived at D'Qar in episode 8. So I was just wondering if during that time most systems surrendered to the First Order or not.
itz DRod good point but there is some time difference between when the Hosnian system was destroyed and when the First Order arrived at D'Qar in episode 8. So I was just wondering if during that time most systems surrendered to the First Order or not.
Not much time between even the hosnian distraction for such a big coup to happen.
Do you think the skywalker saga ends with episode 9?
The saga is over already. They screwed the pooch with this one.
I respect your opinion, but I whole heartily disagree
How does propulsion in Star Wars work where ships need to constantly push forward to avoid an enemy behind them? More specifically I'm asking about what we saw in Last Jedi where it was a game of "catching up" rather than an object in motion just stays in motion. Do Star Wars ships like Snoke's Supremacy have such intense gravity (natural or artificial) they start to pull on other ships toward them or were they using tractor beams to try and "drag them" back or something else?
Now that Rebels is almost over
Do you think this is the end for Star Wars animation?,
If not what do you think will be next?
I think disney said that they will make a new star wars show after rebels.
AgentN Considering the fact that Fillony has been promoted to head of Star Wars animation, they are probably going to make another show. They may even have two running at the same time.
deadshot 500 I hope so
But I’m curious what it will be about
deadshot 500 I hope so
But I’m curious what it will be about
AgentN Ya know, he has already answered this in his other Q&As.
Do you think that the seemingly slow MG-100 bombers could reach any fast top sublight speeds as i read the book Cobalt Squadron?
This is definitely my favorite Star Wars channel! Thanks!
What determines how strong in the force a place is? Are less populated areas generally stronger, or is it more or less random?
do you think that the emperor will turn Ezra to the dark side and will become one of his replacements for vader
HOPE SO
sorry if this has been explained in some other form of media, but is there a canon explanation to where The Raddus, The Ninka, The Anodyne and The Vigil was during The Force Awakens either on a resupply mission like Crimson and Cobalt Squadron or in orbit of D'Qar and we didn't see them or something else?
Hey Alex ... So Luke force projected himself onto Crait as a younger man using the Anakin sabre meaning the force user can project what he desires. Do you think Vader was force projecting to Dagobah in ESB?
@Starwarsexplained
Why do you think dengar is often seen as lando's equivalent/ rival? Especially in the battlefront games it is oddly apparent.
I cracked up when you said, "A stupid face wants to know..."
This a tow part question. I was recently watching revenge of the sith and what happened two the second half of the Invisible Hand, and what was the business on Cato Modia???
Is the Lightwhip use kyber crystal tu build it? And is Lightwhip is one of Lightsaber variations?
I've got two questions
1st) In the two films we see Clone troopers and the subsequent ranks that command them, along with the animated TCW Tv show, we see several Clone Officers, Captains, Commandos, Commanders, and even ARC Troopers.
Question for next week. Why were the Resistance A-wings not present at Starkiller Base. Where were they then in Canon?
Do you want the saga films to continue in say 10 years once more spin off films and Rian Johnsons new trilogy has been completed? If yes, what would you want it to focus on? Broom kid?
Question regarding snoke connecting Rey and kylo... If kylo and Rey couldn't really see their surroundings and could really only see each other... How is it that there were still able to interact with it. Example... The wave crashing behind Rey and kylo wiping water from his face?...
4:00
There is some evidence both ways indicating that Force Ghosts can pick and choose who they appear to and evidence that they can be seen by anyone in the area.
Joseph Attwell i think anakin is an exception since he is the chosen one
LeinadTM I think the rest of the season will focus on Lothal. It will end where it started
Dave confirmed that it wont, sad really. I wanted it too.
They confirmed that it wouldn't.
Aw, man. Hopefully they end it right.
LeinadTM Pablo Hidalgo said no
While playing Battlefront 2 I have the feeling that First order TIE fighters are a bit smaller than the Empire's one. Do you know if they really are ? Thanks for you videos man I love them
When Luke faded into the Force did his robot hand fade as well or was it left behind in his robe sleeve?
Mark Hamill himself was wondering about this on Twitter. Not sure if it's already been answered
I'm very interested in Executioner Stormtroopers and I have a question:
Do you think their laser axes can fight lightsabers?
Hello there,
In the recent novel, Thrawn mention a threat or threats to the Chiss... do you think this could be a story line leading to Snoke?
QnA:
I know I doesn’t matter in regards to the films but when do you think we will get Snoke’s backstory?
Commander Shepard Yeah like pretty much everything else in the expanded universe but it’s interesting.
Most likely a Snoke comic sometime. If he isn't coming back, I would think before episode 9, if he might come back, after episode 9.
RM_Prime I really doubt he’s coming back, a comic series would be interesting.
If Captain Phasma, who got barely any screen time, could get her own comic; I'm sure a Snoke book/comic is in the works.
before episode 9, we will already get comics of Snoke's connections to the Empire and why he exactly got chosen as leader and after episode 9 we get comics or the new trilogy about Snoke's life before The Clone Wars
Is it possible in rots, Obi Wan used a force projection on Utapau when it looked like he was flying away in the ship but in reality he stayed
Do you think since Reys kyber crystal is cracked that it will need exhaust ports like kylos
As the Revenge of the Sith novelization is canon, and mentions Alpha as Anakins right hand man, are Alpha and other characters canon technically?
Polarizing polar bear the revenge of the Sith novelization is not canon
5Picoseconds Yes it is
Polarizing polar bear no it's not
No there not, the only film book that is canon is the new one for ANH and the ST.
Do you think The Ones could have originated from Lothal as they're seen in front of a Lothal mound (probably the temple)
How do we know that end scene with the children was set shortly after the battle of Crait?
When Luke cut himself off from the force was it like he was a normal non-force sensitive being again or was it something different? Something like the Islimirri maybe?
Do you think we could see more of Iden Version outside of Star Wars Battlefront 2 in maybe a film or even rebels?
Do you think we'll see Ezra get a vision or glimpse/flashback through the force of have The Ones came to be?
With something similar to their backstory in legends? Also could we see a glimpse of something Snoke related when Ezra is seen in some sort of vault by Sidious. (Wearing the stormtrooper armor at the time in both occasions; the murel of the ones and when confronting what's probably sidious, that is.
do you think we could see canto bight, ring of kafrene, wobani or eadu in any future canon material
Is it likely that most dead Jedi like qui gon or mace will return as force ghosts to end the Skywalker sag in an epic way?
Do you think Kanan could become one with the force when or if he dies in star wars rebels
Very well answered and I like your concepts. Very good.
After watching the Star Wars rebels mid-season 4 trailer, do you believe captain Rex is more likely the commander at the battle of endor?
Just a curiosity of mine, I mean obviously the team at Lucasfilm probably didn't think about this too much, but now that I have seen the movie three times, it confuses me.
i think the projection is like a real life hologram with more details. just like c3p0 could see liea's message in ANH when r2 played it
seeing as though there are only 7 episodes left in rebels season 4, do you think we will get any sort of filler episodes?
Could a hyperspace jump directly into the death star could destroy it?
Why was Obi-wan featured in Reys force vision in TFA? They made a special effort to get Ewan Mcgregor to do the voice. Does this still have significance to the story or just something that was dropped. He says "these are your first steps" this could imply that he has been watching her, expectant for something? Or are all the force ghosts just watching everyone galaxy-wide, waiting for the force to randomly and very powerfully awaken in someone, so they can tell them, "these are your first steps" when i does?
Do you think Clone Medic Kix will make an appearance in the episode 9? I personally would like to see him mow down some First Order Stormtroopers.
Do you think we’re going to get a canon explanation on why and when the empire ceased the clone production?
Hi Alex, this one's barely related to Star Wars but knowing Tom Baker is the voice of the Bendu in Rebels, I'm curious to know. Have you ever watched Doctor Who (either the classic or current series)? If so, what do you think of it.
What appened to Bosk after Empire Strikes Back?
Alex I have a weird question, but what if Rowan Freemaker was Rey’s father? He did survive the battle of Endor, even if the show isn’t fully canon. If he were to be Rey’s father it would explain why the Skywalker lightsaber called to Rey the same way the Kyber saber called to Rowan. What do you think?
Elemental Jedi freemakers aren’t canon
Read full comment before replying, and it sort of is canon.
It’s only dumb if you make it so besides, Forces of Destiny (Feminism) is also for kids and it’s considered canon.
He had to know or strongly suspect what was going to happen when he did
I asked that question on a previous Q/A video under my old TH-cam name.
Q/A
"Why did Ben Solo fall to the dark side"
Ahhh I see did he answer it before? Who would you like to see a POV of?
1) General Carlist Rieekan
2) Captain Lorth Needa
3) Admiral Piett
4) Mon Mothma’s son from legends
5) Anyone aboard one of the 30 GR-75 transports
6) Dec (lukes gunner)
7) Hobbie (and his death with veers)
8) General veers
9) Boba fett
10) An Ugnought
11) Imperial on cloud city
12) Civilians on cloud city
13) White Hoth protocol droid
14) Red protocol droid (Legends)
15) A cloud city Blue guard
16) The rude protocol droid on cloud city who to told 3-PO to piss off
17) Wedge Antilles after hoth
18) The Medical droid who treated luke (2 stories)
19) The captain who died on the destroyer when the asteroid hit the bridge (In hologram)
20) An imperial on the bridge who saw Vader choke Ozzel (and a way to explain the camera)
21) Lobot
22) Lando
23) The Major at echo base
24) Any of the other Bounty hunters on the executor
25) Stromtroopers who shot 3-PO
26) Anyone aboard the disabled SD at Hoth battle
27) Other rebel pilots at the Hoth battle
28) Rogue 2
29) Admiral ozzell
30) Guy with the ice cream maker
31) A stortrooper knocked by chewi in the freezing chamber
32) Anyone from blizzard squadron
33) An Intidictor cruiser passenger that was on it's way to Hoth
34) Snowtrooper at Hoth
35) Snowtrooper eaten by wompa
36) Yendor
37) Yoda
38) Anyone one Yavin 4 from ANH on hoth
39) Anyone on the bridge when Vader watched the ties for amusement
40) Tie fighter/bomer/interceptor/ in asteroid scenes
41) Cloud car pilot
42) Anyone manning the ion cannon at hoth
43) A rebel from Pheonix squadron
44) The women at Hoth command center
Ahh All good choices. I too thought of Admiral Piett, and one of the passengers of the Transports would be a great choice. I wouldn't mind seeing one from Lobot as well. The Lando Comic ended with him being more machine then man now, but it would be interesting to see his POV just to see how true that is. And it sure looks like you have the makings for the Book all by yourself there :D
I also have a list for Episode 6,1,2,3 7 and 8. I don't think R1 would need a point of view book.
