    Wow - love how this explains the pathway for how Bactrim works on UTIs, and how it helps me understand the effect it could have on a baby in utero.

    Not sure where you went, but you're a natural at teaching this in an easy to understand **what is happening / why it works** manner - and that's how you master pharm, not rote memorization. Nicely done!

      for sure *what is happening/ why it works* manner- made me unconsciously smile; but look: its a very strong statement that when teacher murphy says it, i firstly concentrate and boom! get the concept..!!

    My professor just reads material from book with us and if we ask question he goes straight to google and reads whatever written in there. I'm just amazed by this explanation.

    Yo! Ninja nerd! You’re a genius. The best way to learn is by teaching others.. and you teach effectively showing that you understand this material extremely well. Heard you graduated nursing or PA school- good luck on all your endeavors and keep that fitness journey going. Always appreciate your videos!

    Respectfully, I read from some medical book that sulfonamide is actually an analogue for PABA not affect the enzyme, and I want to know what's right?

    • @rehankhan-hs2dy
      @rehankhan-hs2dy 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is anlog of PABA and compete PABA for enzyme Dihydro pteroate synthase and inhibit it

    Ok you have spoken about acids in the folic acid pathway, since the acids and bases symbolizes positive and negative like in polarized things which when balanced as in the PH is vital to the body, and if neutrons are the centralized neutral between electrons and protons like anions and cations, then there is a need for a central thing, then what will be the moving force, what if electrons and protons exchange particles because it does in science, it's details and affectation in science and nature things supposed to be in harmony with each other like a muscle that contracts and relax in one body, like a general relativity and quantum mechanics in one environment, then the question is when the environment changes, does medicine and healthcare ready for this because DNA expression and activation affectation is the result of environmental change, would the pathways be altered or the same, do studies need to evolve or stick to what was used to.

    quick question ? If Epinephrine is a vasoconstrictor . How could be a Beta 2 agonist ? Its supposed B2 receptors have a function for relax smooth muscle and bronchodilatation?

    • @arturocarbajal7906
      @arturocarbajal7906 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Epinephrine is an unselective agonist, so it binds to diferentes types of beta adrenergic receptors. B2 have protein Gs which produces cAMP, and cAMP decreases calcium concentration. If you do not have calcium, you do not have contraction. And in A1 receptors you have protein Gq which causes the vasoconstriction.
