@@awatchdiary yeah i was abit sad about the balance wheel but the watch cost me next to nothing and the rest of the movement looks to be in really good condition, im hoping to get the movement fixed sometime in the future
There's definitely been a design shift, but they do still have Datejust with Roman numerals or Arabic numbers. The more recent Air King also has a number dial.

Nice observation. I suspect the dial may have been re-done. But other than that it’s a charming little watch.
absolutely beautiful, ive rercently purchased one very similar but the case is in horrible condition and the balance wheel needs replacing

Why did Rolex stop making numbered dials?
