My absolute favorite watch. When my father died it was the only thing of his that I actually wanted because he had gotten it during the war and wore it for 40 + years, but it mysteriously "disappeared" at the hospital where he was at the end, and it was literally the only thing I wanted, everything else went to my sister. I have looked at tanks since then but they are just simply too expensive for me. Watching you rebuild this was incredibly satisfying and beautiful and it brought back many beautiful memories of my father. Thank you
Utterly fascinating. Not only do you have amazingly steady hands but you must have a phenomenal memory to remember where each part goes and the order of assembly. Truly engrossing to watch. Bravo!
As a fellow watchmaker who spent his fair time restoring watches like this I must say outstanding job! My only criticism would be that you went a bit heavy on the case, working with sandpaper fixed to a plain piece of wood like you did with the crown probably would have allowed you to keep more of the shape and make it less „round“ but otherwise like I said, outstanding job!
Great work done. And I love to see this channel grow. More over I have an Omega vantage Automatic for sale 1972, Anyone interested can should let me know. I’m in Dubai. 😊
You, sir are both an artist and a surgeon. As the owner of a vintage Cartier tank I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed watching this, and how now, more than ever I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making these watches.
Really enjoyed that. I liked the way you showed the examination. I was even pleased with myself when I made the diagnosis at that time, and later on, you demonstrated I was right. I'm getting more knowledgeable! Your videos are excellent for instruction. Thank you.
That was an amazing restoration. Love when you carefully assemble everything together and restore the watch back to its full glory . The meticulousness of it all, and the craftsmanship. Honestly, such a joy to watch
Very nice restoration. The inside looked pretty clean compared to the outside, which was a good thing. 🙂 I noticed the adjustment screw for regulating the watch... I wish all watches had that compared to those imprecise, hard-to-adjust levers.
Another amazing restoration. And gotta praise the video production quality as well with those macro shots and editing. Always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Love the level of professionalism- have watched quite a few of your videos. What most do not comment is your sense of humour and use of camera angles- all fantastic
I just wanted to take a moment to say how amazing your video was! I was really impressed with the quality of the footage, the editing, and the overall presentation. You did a great job of explaining the topic in a clear and concise way, and I learned a lot from watching your video. I also really appreciated the way you made the video engaging and entertaining. You kept my attention throughout the entire video, and I never felt bored or lost. I would definitely recommend your video to anyone who is interested in learning more about the video. Thanks again for making such a great video! I look forward to watching more of your content in the future. PS: I outsourced this feedback to AI.
Every restoration you do is better than the last. This Cartier Tank is beautiful. Also, liking your socks, looking forward each episode for the quick shot of the socks. I missed my chance to work at Hamilton in Lancaster PA, having retired from the military a bit too late.
If I knew where your workshop was located, I would send you a length of spiral cable sleeving to tidy up those untidy wires on your otherwise immaculate cleaning machine. That apart, yet another brilliant video.
I think you are spot on. I like the fun element of it. And if I’m ever near a swatch shop I will have a look and may even buy one. Even if it only lasts 6 months
Saludos brother..!!
What a nice restoration ! Each step are perfect and final result is stunning ! Accuracy is ✨! Thank you for sharing always happy to follow your channel ! 🙏
Great restoration, but I do see the big glaring problem with the crown. What happened to the blue sapphire? That lump of black whatever just brings down the watch and all the work you put into it. Sorry to be so nitpicky, but I wanted to point it out.
WOW. Saludos ¡¡¡¡¡¡
I enjoy all your restoration videos. The humor with the flux capacitor to the quality of the videos themselves. Its exciting to see what you'll come with next!
Very nice!! Maintained the case symmetry super well. I'm hoping to take a polishing course this next year because being able to take a case to that finish is a lot more than just making it shiny. I despise this movement though, with an incandescent passion. It is such garbage that when we got cocky in school our instructor would hand one of these out to take us down a few notches...lol. Said if you can time these reliably literally everything else will be easy. He may have been right but these are nightmares, those division tolerances are bullshit.

Hey there, everything looked great except for the zebra strap. I personally think black leather would have been a better choice.
Anything but zebra strap would have been better looking 😮
Agreed!
Yes such a gorgeous watch with a tacky bracelet
@@jarozlawus you prove the point, just anything looks better than zebra strap 😁
Please not that strap

@@adriantch6692 your comment is the only overdone thing. lol
I was crying when he was "polishing" the case. He rounded off all the corners and edges, made it look like a cheap copy.
Great work done. And I love to see this channel grow. More over I have an Omega vantage Automatic for sale 1972, Anyone interested can should let me know. I’m in Dubai. 😊
There goes your chamfers!@@csanadbarczy9153

Hope it running..and that you're wearing it...
@@sasi9285 Pardon
@@jatco84 Yeah i serviced it last month at banglore and its running fine. But I only wear this for any occasions.
Nicely done! The sound was delicious when you showed the reassembled train wheels spinning freely.
@@IMakeWatches hi Dayton! Lol, I thought that was Mr. Red Dead saying hi. I haven't heard from him in a while.

Genius... I especially like the Flux capacitor part of your footage.. 🤣
He must be very rich ,, time machine can fix everything absolutly

Un vero maestro!!! Complimenti per la professionalità! Un restauro impeccabile e un orologio bellissimo!!!
That was an amazing restoration. Love when you carefully assemble everything together and restore the watch back to its full glory . The meticulousness of it all, and the craftsmanship. Honestly, such a joy to watch
This is so smooth and calm I fell asleep in between many a times! Dude if you’re selling these stuff please let us know. I’d be down to purchase!
Great you saved it. - Originally only the sides of this case were polished, the rest was brushed. All polished case on the precious metal versions.
Oh damn, that's a Cartier 120..... a beautiful restoration, great skill.
It's pure pleasure to watch your videos. Everything looks so easy but I know it's not.
Wow,beautiful restoration. Might be worth sourcing a new crown with the beautiful blue orb. Would go nicely with the strap.
The fact that you have a Cartier for under $1,000 is incredible, let alone a Tank Française.
Excellent work, as always.
Amazing work, turning that little gem into glory again! Thanks for sharing with us...
Also... That watch band 🤯
I think this is one of the most satisfying jobs in the world. Well done!!

Wow, what a transformation, the strap was a nice touch.
Designing & building a watch like this is magnificent but to remove piece by piece, refurb, Rebuild it gets my respect. Top marks for video.
Nice job. Much will that retail for now?
Not a big fan of the straps, tbh I would have gone a straight swap brown for brown.
Love the level of professionalism- have watched quite a few of your videos. What most do not comment is your sense of humour and use of camera angles- all fantastic
Excellent. Amazing how you remember where all of the parts go back together again.

I appreciate the little time I get to relax with these videos. I wonder if you can Flux capacitor my entire body 😊
I assume someone from Elma has finally reached out about sponsorship for your channel?
Amazing video as always my friend.

Excellent work!

He who does the editing is also a genius.

Stunning , sophisticated masterwork of watchmakers, and the clininh of olf watches.

Good call on the strap. That is perfect.
Another ASMR masterpiece, and the RDR strap is outstanding.
It also looks nice when you changed the bezel finish from original satin to high polish.
Case restoration is what makes this channel my favorite
not including working hours, still fantastic and great job. very well done

Absolutely excellent. As usual Sir. Congratulations.
Cartier has a nice automatic winding works movement. Wish we could see through and see all the glory of both movements together. 👍🤙❤️
That's a awesome watch. Nice job on the fix of it
A beautiful watch restoration!! You are so smooth and precise. And you have some of the craziest socks!! Always love seeing them!!😊
Love it.. Such a great restoration on a classic piece...Looks fabulous, especially the new strap. Superb addition to the restoration. Kudos
