Seiko 6105 "Captain Willard" Overhaul and repair
#seiko #vintagewatch #watchrepair
The Vintage Seiko 6105 was not keeping time and required much needed parts to get it working again.
The challenge was changing the Crown O-ring to make it waterproof again. This required much effort to stuff the crown till the steel cover popped and uncovered the O-ring.
A full set of gaskets and the installation of ball/spring click made the bezel functional again.

#rolex #rolexwatch #submariner #swisswatch #watches #watchrepair #watchrestoration The Rolex Submariner 16610 was produced between 1988 and 2010. This is a long 22 years of production for one of Rolex's most beloved timepieces. I give this 16610 a well deserved service and polish, with its workhorse Caliber 3135. It came out performing like a champ after the much needed rejuvenation. Lofi track...

มุมมอง 4.2Kปีที่แล้ว
#swisswatch #watchrestoration #watchservice I service and repair a Bell and Ross BR 03-92 with chipped lug and jammed ETA2892 movement. I think it stopped to signal its owner that it's case exterior needs some decent cleaning after some mite colony decide to make it their home. Bringing Back a 9K Rolex from the 1920s!
มุมมอง 822ปีที่แล้ว
#Rolex #vintagewatch #swisswatch #watchrestoration This episode I service a 9K Gold Rolex from the 1920s. The dial has probably been re-dialed at some point. I had an interesting time searching for case back hallmarks to date this watch production period. It is signed RWC (Rolex Watch Company), but I could not identify the casemaker. However I found a close match online which puts it at 1920 ma...
I Serviced this Zelos Nova!
มุมมอง 315ปีที่แล้ว
Hi! I have been providing aftersales service and repairs for several microbrands. This episode, I share the servicing of an overbanking Nova for Zelos. Service was not required, but was requested. The overbanking occurs when the watch is fully wound and results in erratic timing. The simplest method is to increase the resistance to the escapement by lubricating the Pallet fork pivot with a very...
Omega Speedmaster Cal 3303 Teardown and Polish
มุมมอง 1Kปีที่แล้ว
Hi all! Some of you wanted to know how I polish the Speedmaster in the last video. I get a heavily worn Omega and try to do a mild polish job. I did not mean it to be a complete refinish or restoration, but merely to clean up the watch to make it look newer. Even this took a couple of hours to complete. There are many serious scratches which I left on. I share my take on polishing and it may no...
Restoration of Vintage 14K Rolex Bubble back Caliber 620 with Radium dial
มุมมอง 5Kปีที่แล้ว
This time round, I service a desirable and rare vintage Rolex BB. It is likely to be from 1940s to 50s. As a heirloom, the client requested that I keep it as original as possible. Thankfully, all the parts are in working condition. I only had to get a new dome crystal to replace the old one which was not functional. Cleaning and lubrication brought the amplitude back to about 220deg, enough for...

Tudor Black Bay 41mm Polishing Without Scotchbrite

Hello! I finally have time after the hectic holidays. Its been a long time and I upload a video polishing and refinishing a Tudor 41mm BB, showing the use of various wheels to get a decent surface polish and brushed finish. Omega Diver 300M Seamaster Chronograph overhaul and restoration
มุมมอง 12K2 ปีที่แล้ว
This time, I repaired and overhauled the Omega Seamaster Chronograph with caliber 1164 which had stopped working due to 2 issues: Broken Mainspring arbor pivot and worn out reverse wheel. These parts were replaced and the case and bracelets polished. I may try to do an in depth tutorial on getting the bracelet and case finished in a future episode if there is enough interest. 🕔 Time Chapters 0:...
Warning for biohazard!
Where did you buy your brush wheel for your machine? I’m looking for something like that! Btw great work!😃
The stories that watch could tell.
Connect information?
How do I get in contact with you?
How much does this service cost and where are you located?
Decorate the movement bell and ross!!!!
Never seen this video before . I really enjoyed it, since i have the same watch but with a chrome or stainless bezel . Bought my watch new in 1997 , i never had it serviced yet , but it has very little use , seems to run fine , its never seen water exept for a damp cloth to clean the sweat off . Love it , hopefully i will get it serviced this 2025 .
Well done, excellent job... One of the most beautiful watches... Subscribed. :)
I’d forget how to put it back together. Nice work!
awesome job! could you possibly do a video recommending good quality tools or tool kits that people of your caliber use to service watches. i feel like theres allot of terrible tool kits out there
Did good but for veiwer last stage was too fast
"Human cheese" made me chuckle and shiver at the same time
Where would you recommend going to get such a good work, if possible in Spain or Europe (customs are not funny)
I watched you in the video, but I didn’t see you put any break-in grease for the spring.
Majestic.
Nice video. This is my grail watch - finally traded up to one made in 1995. Sadly it only comes out of the safe on special occasions. Lovely to see one being cared for so dilligently.
Nice! If I had one, it would be for special occasions too!
Nice job! I was skeptical that this was real.. is it possible it is just an older version? I've never seen one with spring bars. My BR 03-92 uses long bars that have a screw at each end which can only be removed with the allen wrench that came with the watch.
Nice job! As my watchmaker mentor told me 25 years ago, more damage is done to watches by not enough oil. The watchmaking schools make such a deal out of using JUST the right amount, that many end up not using enough.
It's fascinating to see that you brought back this old Grandfather watch back to life. Anyway, I have a similar watch, bubble back Rolex watch from the same era. My crown and stem came loose when I tried to set time. When I pushed and screwed the stem/crown back on the second stopped after a while. However, when I loosen up the screw-in crown the second started to run again. I have watched your video just to see how you removed the crown and noticed that you have skipped those steps. Wondering if you can give me some advice on how to remove/put the crown. I have removed the back case and located the screw but unable to move it or push it. Thank you
You may need to bring it to your nearest trusted watchmaker or Rolex service Center. The setting lever may have been undone and it might need to be fixed from the dial side.
My daydate is from 1958, what a work horse.
8:50 Bravo. Però hai sbagliato l'orientazione nella cassa delle viti frontali: in tutti gli orologi Bell & Ross le viti vanno disposte col taglio in senso radiale, non tangenziale.
What can be done to get it to COSC timing again? I had mine serviced and before the service it was running +1-2 per day, now it's running +8-9
It is inevitable that parts will wear out. Tolerances will no longer be what they used to be as pivots, jewels and bushings wear down. It also might be that old “gunk” keeps the components supported. Washing them off after a service, while good for longevity of the movement, might introduce freeplay that would otherwise impact isochronism. Usually fresh parts, replacement of jewels, bushings, checking of end shakes/axial shakes, re-poise of balance etc should improve isochronism and hence timekeeping performance. I wouldn’t sweat about it. +8-9 isn’t half bad. It’s a mechanical device and give it a break.
Great video! I now have a better appreciation for my watch, had it for 18 years, had it serviced last year for $1350AUD. Well worth the spend!
Nice work dude! The music really sets the mood too! 👍
Thanks! 👍
Отличная работа!!!
absolutely beautiful, ive rercently purchased one very similar but the case is in horrible condition and the balance wheel needs replacing
Sorry to hear that
@@awatchdiary yeah i was abit sad about the balance wheel but the watch cost me next to nothing and the rest of the movement looks to be in really good condition, im hoping to get the movement fixed sometime in the future
You are really professional can you repair my Rolex ?
Sorry I don’t do mail in repairs at the moment unless you happen to be in Singapore
I love to own, work on, and build watches, but I find that much gold gaudy.
No one cares
I’m not a huge Rolex fan, although I do love the GMT Master II and the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date. Both are classics. I’m much more of an Omega man myself though. My first was a Seamaster 300M chronometer that I bought new in 2001. I’ve always been extremely careful with it, and haven’t worn it every day, but I only first had it serviced in 2020, and it was honestly still working pretty much fine just before I did. But as with anything like that, small rubber gaskets and parts should be replaced periodically, and other parts lubricated. But it’s amazing how timeless (no pun intended) well-made mechanical watches can be. If taken care of and maintained, they practically last forever. Unlike say an Apple Watch or a Garmin, that are based on software, technology, and have internal rechargeable batteries that are difficult to replace. Eventually those types don’t get firmware updates anymore, and just stop working. Much more disposable over time. Even if “time” is 10-15 years.
Omegas are made in China
Agree with you. But now some cheaper Swiss are not so serviceable. With Swatch sistem51/swissmatic tissot, movement replacements are the name of the game. They will keep working, until swatch no longer supports them. Plastic escapement parts do wear out pretty quickly.
Thanks for the video! How is the crown removed from this movement?
You can hold down the stem release on the opposite side of the setting lever on the movement and pull the stem out
I've two tag Heuer watches and my last one to add to this little collection will of course be this very watch, fantastic talent and ability thanks for sharing your art.
Hello there, I'm a huge Seiko fan and I was planning to buy an upcoming SLA diver release. I wanted to ask you about the 8L35 movement as you're an expert in this area. What are your thoughts on the 8L35 movement? How is the longevity of it, is it reliable and how often should I service it ? Your thoughts on this would be much appreciated sir , thanks
Seiko official advisory is 2-3yrs, but I find 3-5yrs interval very normal and acceptable.
amazing work
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work friend!
Omg. True craftsmanship. Thank you for showing the inner workings of a B&R
Tuyệt vời ❤
Nice job but if it was my watch I'd have let you relume both the indices and the hands.
Agreed
Great work, minimal polishing, awesome
Thank you! Cheers!
To all the grey market dealers who say this is not an everyday watch, you should watch this! I am so happy it has been worn and loved.
How much longer that bracelet gonna last y'all think?
beautiful. to think that ANYTHING, much less something mechanical can be used every day for 30 years and remain functional and elegant is a testament to quality. anyone who questions why rolexes cost what they do should watch this video.
how much does this restoration cost? I have the same watch in the same condition :)
Are there any old Rolex watches that can be affordable?
Can you teach me how to remove the crown(exchange)? Thanks
Do u know how to remove the crown? Thanks
Yt
I need my watch (same model) serviced but I'd rather not have it polished. Nice to watch the work done.. 👍🏻
it doesn't look like the finishing looks all that great. Is it just a standard ETA2892 or was there anything updated by BR internally?
Just recently acquired a 1985 for my approaching 40th. Watch was running, despite being "bone dry" according to the watchmaker who serviced it. After service? Running half a second fast per day 🤯
That’s even better than COSC standards! I usually regulate to +5s/d.
@@awatchdiary wore it Wednesday, then again Friday evening. Just looked and it's off 3 seconds 🤷♂️
