      We hosted a couple Chilean college players great many years ago.
      One told the story of a lady asking out the window of a condo if her
      husband could come hit with them ("please no")...Rod Laver walked out
      with 7 rackets under his arm.

    Nanda is ridiculously good and Djokovic's rally ball basically pins him into a defensive position on every point. The level is insane. I'm a 5.0 tennis player and I probably couldn't get a game off Nanda. In fact, It would be struggle to win a point. So to extrapolate that to Djokovic is ridiculous. The level to sports are incredible. IF they only showed this court level view on regular TV, it would only serve to pull more people into the sport as the athleticism and speed required is lost when viewed from above.

    • @vickyrajan5378
      @vickyrajan5378 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      But that view is what makes it viewer friendly.. Tennis players and some viewers might differ.. But I'm sure majority would want it the way it is... At some stage they change the camera angles and it gives the viewer a different experience for sure... But to make it the norm would not be a right decision... Otherwise it would have been done by now.. Top view is what i reckon is best view for the one who is just watching it for entertainment.. But an aspiring player or the one who is interested in the nitty gritties of this beautiful game might like lower and side angle view and might share ur view.

    yeah, maybe competitive for a set, but I watched some young kid take it to Novak for a set during the US Open, but as the match went on Novak just got better and better and ran this kid all over the court. By the end of the match Novak still looked ready for another 3 sets while the American kid was looking for air.

      @tijgertjekonijnwordopgegeten my point is the courts are in poor condition and that can cause injury while sliding. If there are stains in the back where they are, that can also cause you to slide too far and get hurt. Even at the HS level they don't let you play until courts are completely dry.

    Novak is like Maverick from movie of the same name. Early points are used to find your tells and your weaknesses. By the end of the set, he'll run his game all over the opponent ❤

      @@Blueian742 I do not know how my comment proved your point. I think there is a significant gap between these levels but much smaller then between club player and college player. You can take UTR tennis rating which is more or less linear scale of level of play. So top player have UTR around 16.0. Good D1 college players may have UTR around 12-13. Now for comparison intermediate club player of 4.0 USTA level would have UTR around 5.0 maybe 6.0. So you can see that the difference of the level is much larger there. Even though difference between 12 and 16 UTR is still pretty solid.

      @@Blueian742 I just proved you with numbers that it is not comparable. I am an average club player and I had coaches who played in the D1 division. You can't win a single point against them. It is not same level of difference as between Djokovic and this college guy. He could rally with Djokovic and he will win points and even occasionally games. But in a match play if Djoker takes is seriously there is no chance to win a set. Let's say difference between them like between D1 and D3 college players. But D3 player is not sloth at all. Us club players we not playing same game as college players at all, almost like they are playing tennis and we are doing something else :)
