I don't have a pitter so I used a Chinese chop stick. After about 15 cherries I got the hang of it and it worked just fine.....thanks for the recipe. Delicious!!
Hi Susan, thanks for your question. This particular cobbler recipe is not supposed to have a very light and airy texture, as the cherries will weigh down the batter a bit. However, if you would like it thicker, try using a smaller baking dish. You could also put the cherry mixture in the bottom of the pan and spread the batter ontop of the cherries. Gonna try this one. Bought a new refrigerator, and low and behold the freezer section is smaller than my other one, so my cherries got left out. Looking for a fresh cherry recipe.
The amount of sugar is giving me a headache. As if the sugar in the recipe is not enough, sprinkle it with sugar + sugar in the whipped chream / ice cream. Dafuq America ?

of course you did assumptions, a lot of them, and i don't, i didn't do no assumption about your personality, your tastes or your heath. but you did, a lot, and tried to force your lifestyle to people you don't know, just because you made assumptions about other people's lifestyle(in this case, me) based on a single disagreement about the amount of sugar in a single recipe. i mean, you haven't any evidence of any affirmation you made about me, but you made those affirmations, and convinced

Yikes!!! that is an enormous amount of sugar for the batter and fruit. I would cut the sugar in half, and it would be sweet enough I would think.
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
Stir
1 cup of milk
Stir
Pour
Dry cherriers
Cherries in bowl
Add 3/4 cup sugar
1bs flour
People can see the recipe and decide for themselves about making it. This video does not force you to make it.
I used sweet cherry. My bad. Too sweet. But tastes soooo delicious!!! I used half almond flour and half regular flour. 😋
And the cherry pitter is awesome!
