I JUST made your recipe and it's cooling; looks and smells great! THX for sharing your recipe that adds cinnamon and nutmeg; that should be a tasty addition! I feel like I make a new friend every time I make one of the YT family's recipes, so have a GREAT day, my new YT Friend and may God richly bless you and your family! - your friend from Missouri
Hi Colleen, Hope you are having a beautiful Fall in Missouri. I truly enjoy sharing recipes and I am always glad to hear from my subscribers😊. Thank you so much for your kind words. Enjoy!!
I just finished watching the video I know I’m gonna love your channel I see you have a punch bowl cake. I have ben looking for a recipe in a long time for that 🥰
I just subscribed. Was looking how to make a cherry pie, but, my pie crust on the bottom of the pies I make, can't get the bottom crust crispy. Saw a Jacques Pepin, but, then came across this channel, and it looked so good, and I knew this is going to give me a the crispiness I am looking for. And I also am a big fan of iron pans. Always stays flat, no warping dome-shape later on, the so-called non-stick always always does start sticking no matter what brand I try. They never use a non-stick pan thats been used for 6 or 8 months or a year in order to prove to us how truly nonstick it is. Well anyway, glad I found your channel.
I passed my 12” cast iron skillet which had been Grandmother’s, to my niece. With arthritis in my shoulder, I can no longer lift it! She and her hub are great cooks and will enjoy using it.
I made a Cherry Chrisp - minus the oatmeal, which makes it a Cherry Crumble and I used fresh frozen cherries - none of that can stuff. I used 3 cups frozen cherries, 1/3 cup Simply Fruit punch drink, and about 1/3 cup sugar, (more or less to taste) along with 3 tsp corn starch and a pinch of salt, 1/4 tsp cinnamon and 1/8 nutmeg. Mix all the ingredients in with the frozen cherries on medium heat until the mixture starts to heat up. Once it heats, increase to med high heat and stir constantly until desired thickness is reach, ( about 1 to 2 minutes) remove from heat and set aside. And there you have it, now you never have to buy the can stuff again. For the crumble 1 used 1 cup flour, 4 tbpn room temp butter, 1/3 cup sugar, pinch of salt, a dash of nutmeg and a dash of cinnamon. Using your fingers smash the butter into the flour mixture or use a pastry cutter until you achieve crumble size peas or you can use any classic recipe for crumble topping. Transfer your cherry mix to a baking dish and top w/crumble bake at 350 degrees for 30 min and enjoy!
Looking forward to making, but currently It’s so hot in Pasadena that I don’t turn on the oven. The grocery stores are always out of various everyday items, the last was Morton Iodized Table Salt, but now most are items are on shelves.

Teach the black iron for the young. Cast iron skillet is forever. Pass it on. Makes it better.

Cinnamon just sounds so wrong to me. No other recipes I've looked at call for it.
