Thank you so much for listening to this video!
In today’s video we discuss stonewalling. Stonewalling is delay or block (a request, process, or person) by refusing to answer questions or by giving evasive replies. This a manipulative tactic designed to confuse you, hurt you and over all make you feel crazy! It’s emotional abusive and used to gain control by the manipulator.

This is emotional abuse! No one deserves to be treated as if they are nothing. As a child I experienced stonewalling. My parent was completely silent. I was too scared of him so I just let it go. I decided it wasn't worth it.

I experienced silence with a rage filled glare for days and weeks as a child.

My parents (dad and stepmom) did this to me as a child and I would never know what I did wrong. It was a horrible feeling

My mom did this, and when I would get busy doing some task, she needed more supply, she'd yell for me with all the anger and hatred if the world in her tone, and I'd jump to see what she wanted, but she'd just angrily scream some orders at me to do something, and shame me for not having already done whatever it was (often the task had just become necessary in the moment), in an extremely accusatory manner, then return to her silent treatment, as if she just needed my attention momentarily so she could once again be able to remind me how unworthy I was to get her attention or words. 😢

Hi Sid the narcs in my life ignore me in the way of not giving me eye contact when we are having a conversation and replying with a mmm” n yh” very vague it infuriates me. Is this stonewalling?
I’m the scapegoat of my family I only realised this after suffering from severe narc abuse from my sister who is the golden child. This made me look into the dysfunctional family unit. I’m now healing x
    Thank you 😊

Hi thanks for listening! Based on the information you gave me yes this could be a way of stonewalling because they are severely limiting the communication with you.

I have received just complete silence 🔕 and before I knew about it. I would think "oh its my fault😰, what did I do🤷🏾‍♀️, I don't understand😫?
Now🧐😆 I have studied for 3 years on narcissistic personality disorders
and when it happens. I ignore them and see them as an abuser, insecure, low vibrational person. I stay away from communicating and being openly available to them. Because that's abuse and they know what they're doing. I also notice, when they don't see you stressing out about it, begging for their validation. They then start to want to know what is going on with you🤣🤣🤣. Now they're not getting that supply, that reaction, that control, they're seeing that you know their games. It's not having an effect anymore, just continue living your life. They get mad🤣 because you're not playing into their games.

Oh man good for you!!! That’s some real growth!! Once you start to ignore them back and not allow their incompetence to way you down you’re so much better off!!!

A person told me they needed some space but went 3 weeks without talking and didn’t respond to my messages and our relationship has been awful ever since. When I express how I feel, I don’t feel validated and even now he has told me “we’ll talk about that later” but hasn’t talked to me in a month
