    Your Blood Knot Demo: Clear, concise.
    Many people demonstrating Knot tying should use this video as a guide. They many Times, have a light color background; obscure view with hands , fingers, and preform the task to fast.
    Great Job!!, Many of us have been tying this knot incorrectly.

      WDOGEL.... Youn know it, Now the next cool step would be to make a jig of sort, with padded pinch clips , and lone spool holder, use this method and mass Produce your own bottom fishing perch Rigs, or other fish. Maby use springs to keep line taught. See what you can come up with; Good bordom project lol.

    I think double "Uni" knot is better than "blood" knots as it ends at the two sides rather than up and down. So if I use Uni line for necklace ending, it will not cause slight discomfort due to the cut and burnt ends. Nevetheless, thank you for a very clear and concise tutorial!

Alot of these other youtubers use fishing line and against a bad backdrop etc. And we cant see shit! Why make a video if its not quality. Yours is quality and i say thank u! Ive been wanting to try this knot, now i can.

    • @peteredwards1528
      @peteredwards1528 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very true. You need a knot which is easy to tie on the bank, often with the wind and rain howling in your face. I connect two lines together using a triple surgeons knot, which is super simple, yet a surprisingly strong knot

    • @jackmackerel4151
      @jackmackerel4151 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try 4lb flourocarbon with 8lb braid, it just slips right out when you try to cinch it down. The trick is you have to keep your windings real tight so it grips and clinches when you pull it tight.

    • @Berto-1117
      @Berto-1117 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@peteredwards1528 this is as simple as it gets imo, blood knot is just as strong as fg and double uni and way stronger than triple surgeons, you might be disapointed one day if you hook a big bass and lose it to a knot

  • @AmeriFanPicker

    Love the blood knot but I'm about fed up. Takes me like 7-10 tries most times. Every once in a while I get it on the first or second try and I'm not doing anything different those times. It always happens on the cinch close....it just pulls apart. The mono just slips out away from the braid.

    • @Lppoley
      @Lppoley 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same here. Really wish at least one blood knot tutorial video would explain why this happens. We can't be the only one and this is obviously the most common "mistake" being made. Even had someone else in person watch a few videos and try, same results at least 50% of the time.

    • @AmeriFanPicker
      @AmeriFanPicker 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      L P I've gotten better since making this comment. But hell...it happened a few times this morning lol. That was with 15lb floro. For some reason I find it happens more with floro than mono. I'm duality doing 40-50lb braid to 12-15lb maxima mono. That line works about he best with the blood knot. And it's great line too. Unless it's super clear water it's what I have ties on 99% if the time.
      I think sometimes we focus too hard on the tag ends. I try to hold the tag ends but not try to pull them. I think early on I was tying to pull them as well as the lines. I don't know...like I said it still occasionally happens but not nearly as much with that maxima line.

    • @trevnutz155
      @trevnutz155 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try a double uni knot for braid to mono, its become my favorite way to attach a mono leader to braid. I'm typically using 30lb braid to 12-16 lb mono

    Hi. Is this knot used only for fishing lines? Can it be effectively used to join regular cordage like paracord or climbing ropes? Thanks for sharing. 🙏

    • @ricksonora6656
      @ricksonora6656 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What he looked close to paracord. This fishing knot is meant to be thin so it passes through fishing pole loops and doesn’t snag weeds, so there may be better knots for other applications.

It has also become one of the favorite knots used by anglers on the Hudson river recently. It's on my channel, or you can look under The "AJ OVERKILL" knot. Thanks again I look forward to your feedback.

  • @imconsequetau5275
    @imconsequetau5275 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This fishermans bend is 50% strong, very simple, and often easy to untie. It is best when both ropes are equal in size.
    Since these ropes are unequal in size, the double sheet bend is stronger.
    If you want a very strong permanent bend for equal size ropes, try the blood knot bend with at least four turns. It is a jamming knot.
