Hi. When changing the disc's(front or back) should the brake caliper be strung up instead of hanging free. Surely as a mechanic you should've known this. Left hanging it puts stress on the flexi brake pipe and will weaken it.....

Common practice is stringing up the caliper to protect the flexible pipe.

Perhaps one of the wheel rotation or body position sensors has failed, we recommend contacting the service for a complete diagnosis and determination of the error.

Hi Great Video However can you please provide a detailed explaination as to what you are doing with the flat head screwdriver once you remove the rubber bung on the old disc near the studs & again what is the correct procedure when installing the new disc with the flat head inside the hole? If you leave the handbrake on, you need to rotate the handbrake brake adjuster (cant remember the name of it) to release the disc frim the handbrake shoe. But if you have the front wheels chocked and the handbrake off, you can just skip that part.

What is the chap releasing and then re-engaging through the hole in the disc. Is this some kind of retaining device?

If you look closely at the bottom of the handbrake shoe, front one, once he's removed the disc, you will see the head of the adjustment bolt which has some cogs on it to make the adjustment possible. This is the bolt he is turning in to release the handbrake shoe in order to be able remove the disc. Once the new disc is in place, he turns the adjuster out again until the handbrake is correctly adjusted.
