Ah come on Tom tell the truth about that engine and the injectors ,engine failures, and water getting into the fuel system ford in the UK had to put on over a thousand courtesy vans to please customers to save face with the failures.

@@stealth1692 no have a 2.2 2007 130 280 which has been bullet proof I work in the trade so get to here the stories I think any thing after August 2020 production should have newer injectors the fuel flap is also a big problem letting water in to diesels destroying the pump and injectors how could someone design something without a filler cap to stop water ingress. Can't get anything smaller than a 350 here in IRL no 290,310 or 330 so looks like my money is going elsewhere////

@@johncruise3240 have they resolved these issues? I was thinking of a new transit 2024 model due to 9 month lead time. Surely new vans will have had upgrades?
Pay the extra and buy a Mercedes , my 316 sprinter has clocked up nearly a million Kms and has never seen the workshop.
Is it worth saying it’s the trend model? So people don’t think it’s the base model. Small complaint imo after using the latest custom for 2 years. The speed dials need to show 30.50.70 numbers. Not 20.40.60.80 etc. Useless for U.K. speed limits. Also the front dash cubby areas need lids on. Everything that isn’t black just reflects of the windscreen.
60mph is the speed limit for vans in the UK so appropriate 🙄
@@1769gordy 60 on an A road 70 on the motorway. That national speed limit road he was driving down is 50 for that van.
Mercedes Sprinters need a price correction now that Ford has its act together!
Ford will probably just get more expensive rather Mercedes coming down.
Is it cabin same size like on Custom?
Tom here: The large Transit's cabin is bigger vertically than the Custom's cabin, but feels about the same in terms of horizontal space. But you'll find pretty much exactly the same tech and driver aids in both vans.
@@vanaramauk this is very helpful. I have Renault master and I sit in the Ford transit custom and this vas something terrible. Why... Possition of pedals is terrible. Other is not to bad even the cabin is realy small. But position of pedals is terrible. If this is the same I'm gonna think of new Renault Master instead of Ford.
@@jbjoe249 Tom here: Glad to help. Pedal positioning in the Ford Transit is good - Ford know what they're doing. I'd say the Master gives you a bigger footwell and slightly easier access to the pedals. I love the Master - good choice.
Does the new Transit model corrode as much as its older rusty brother in a few years?
Is it good for a campervan convertion
Tom here: I'd say a Transit is perfect for that... but if you lease one you probably won't have the option to convert. Try and pick one up second hand.

Great video and presentation! I am also interested about this question, as I have heard these Ford Transit are not the tallest and largest vans around and have rond angles that would not make them the best camper van convertions... The Ford Transit was our first choice for our van convertion, but now we hesitate, can you tell us more please?
First.
These vans are awful. Terribly uncomfortable and the 6 speed automatic is horrendous. Revs up like mad up hill and doesn't kick down well at all.
This is hardly the most common model , base model will not come with these extras , and the back doors should open fully to sides of van very annoying.
